The broker at this location is horrible. They tried to charge 40 dollars just to add a coverage to an existing policy. Just to add it. Im aware that additional coverage costs money. This is a scam business! Absolutely do not do come here for car insurance nor work with Jessica Vidal. How she even has the title 'Manager' is perplexing. Long story short, we had a 6 month renewal. We paid our dues and triple confirmed upfront, in-person with Jessica Vidal when signing that the payment made covered for 6 months, period. Fast forward 3-4 months into our policy, we had an accident & we find out we're not covered. We meet Jessica, she apologizes saying it's her fault and states that we don't have insurance. You received all your fancy broker fees & payments, what the hell is that supposed to mean? We received no letters, no follow-ups & all you have to say is, Im sorry it's my fault but this is your problem now? None of this makes sense. This is absolutely a scam business, do not take your business here. We're left in with an accident without insurance. How would you cope with this if you renewed in-person for 6 months, confirmed that the payment made in-person covered 6 MONTHS, only to find out you actually weren't? You would feel as if you've been swindled, right? Absolutely Terrible service & even more Terrible human being of Jessica Vidal. You want a return call from the supervisor? This has been by far, the worst experience I've ever had with a car insurance company! If you've never gotten insurance from FreeWay Insurance, I'd suggest, you RUN! RUN! RUN! as fast and as far away from this company. I got a 6 month policy with National General Insurance through FreeWay. Three months in and I started to have issues with these people. Firstly, to get a hold of anyone at this location from FreeWay is ver hard. The phone number they give you is from an office at another location. They're rude, they hang up on you and you have to keep calling until they finally decide to "help" you. Secondly, you start seeing transparency issues with Freeway and their partners after 2 months of getting a policy. Huge red flag! I paid $598.00 upfront, I paid the first and the last two months. I was told the payments for the remaining 3 months, would be $125.00 each month. First month, no problems. Second month, I get a notification from my bank about a transaction of $219.00. I check and lo and behold! It's National General Insurance charging me $219.00 instead of $125.00. I go to FreeWay personally, because they don't answer the phone, to ask why I'm being charged that amount. The broker tells me that she will check. She makes phone calls and it turns out that National General Insurance claimed that they mailed me a form to verify my address. I never received a form from them. According to other reviews, it's the norm of National General Insurance to lie to their customers to their faces. I've tried sending them a few documents to verify my address, but they won't accept! Really!? They're stealing $90.00 each month from me because they can't verify my address!? I've never heard of such thing! General National Insurance will lure you in, offering you cheap prices, but once you pay and setup a policy, they will box you in! If you don't pay, they will cancel your policy and you lose the last 2 months you've already paid. If you finish the 6 months, they will continue STEALING from you! The only reason I paid $598.00 upfront, was because I thought I would not have any kind of problems and I would have peace of mind, knowing that my insurance was already paid for. BOY! WAS I WRONG! My little sister recently obtained her license and when I added her onto my policy, the price skyrocketed. I decided to seek out prices and see what was out there and if there was a better option for me. I came here on Saturday morning around 10:30AM and had to wait for a while. There was one representative (forgot to get his name) and he was helping out another guest. Nothing too crazy and the representative came by and checked up on us many times and even apologized for the wait. When we sat down for our quote, he offered us water and coffee which was very nice of him. He ran our details and came up with a quote that was around the same price of my current company. Even though it was not a sensible choice for us to switch over, I still appreciate the effort he put forward in providing me with the best consulation possible. He advised us that the best solution would probably be to stay put (the difference between policy prices was minimal but with less coverage.) The service is excellent. Even though I won't be insured by these guys, they sure know how to treat their customers (and potential customers). I was very satisfied with my experience. *Avoid this place* I suggest you to go to another insurance company. They're full of LIES and you will feel SCAMMED. At first, they treat you nice, offer you coffee, and smile and that's the way to try to get you signed up on that day without you even noticing it. Moses Martinez gave me an estimation of $180 per month for 2 cars but I told them I will have to come back next time until my other insurance is cancelled. After couple of weeks, I came back and the price changed to $220. I accepted and signed up with the $220 because it was cheaper than my other insurance but later on the bill it showed that it was $244.98. I didn't have my check at that time to set up the automatic payment (i tried to set it with my credit card because he said i can do that) and Moses didnt mention that I had to bring my check so he said to come back anytime with the check again. When I came back with my check, Moses said i have a $10 fee to process the payment (he didn't even mention about this) so he gave me a number to call to pay it through the phone and they won't charge. I called the number and they said they charge $8 and I disagreed paying it. By the time I wasn't able to pay my bill (only a week), my insurance was cancelled and I've been DRIVING WITHOUT INSURANCE. I went back to their office and Moses said that I couldn't pay that in the office. What the eff do you want me to do ? Drive without insurance? Is this my fault? Aren't you guys suppose to take care of new customers who are clueless of your process ? And then moses gave me a number to call but their headquarters are closed on Saturdays. Coincidence huh? Their office are opened on Saturday but their headquarters are closed on Saturday. Now I have to wait until Monday to make sure if I'm driving with insurance. During the phone call, they were very interested in what exactly happened, and they gave us the feeling that they took this issue very seriously. It's essential, but not necessarily natural, for companies/businesses to respond to critic promptly. Freeway insurance did so and followed up with us twice to make sure other customers don't experience the same troubles we did and expressed their regrets authentically. Further, as I was worried what kind of challenges we would have to face in the case we need to file a claim with freeway insurance, they reiterate that the initial bad experience, we dealt with, will not recur. read more
