I have been a customer of Goal since 2012 and everything was great, until July 16, 2016. Ends up that when I purchased my new car in June of 2015 and traded in my old car they mistakenly removed my full coverage insurance without my authorization. I have always had full coverage insurance. Someone over there made the mistake of removing this from my policy and was not aware for a full year until I had an accident and discovered that my car is not covered. I contacted Goal about this and they did not take responsibility for this mistake. Here I have a car that is financed by Infiniti (they didn't even have Infiniti as the lien holder either) and it's costing over $7,800 to fix. How am I suppose to pay for their error. How I ask is it possible that they removed my full coverage without my authorization. I wrote the General Manager which I recently discovered is the owner and I have yet to receive a reply from this man. I sought out an attorney and wrote a demand letter to Goal. I'm waiting to see if they finally decide to do right by their customer and take responsibility for their mistake. Also, the insurance company I have through them is UAIC. I get a renewal notice from UAIC every six months. In this letter I receive a document that tells me the payment plan and a summary of coverage. The summary is super vague and makes it seem as if all is covered, so naturally when I receive the packet all I do is pull my insurance card because who would have told me that they removed this from my policy. It looks normal on the summary.....very misleading. I strongly, strongly suggest that if you decide to use them that you ALWAYS look at your policy every single time it renews. God forbid they "mistakenly" make a change on your coverage and you are in the situation I'm currently in. If something like this happens to you, you can involve The Florida Department of Financial Services and file a claim. I'm giving GOAL 30 days to do right be me.....if that doesn't occur then I will file a claim with the State of Florida and hire an attorney. What they have done is unprofessional and just plain wrong. They have a lot to learn about customer service and professionalism. I have been a Sales Director in the Hospitality Industry for 24 years and I can guarantee you that anytime we have made mistakes we take care of our customer with courtesy and respect. Unlike what I have experienced. ***8/11/2016 - update on this ratchet company. They were contacted by UAIC, the Insurance Company they represent. The company approached them on the situation and they STILL won't do the right thing, even though there is so much proof they made an error. The insurance company, UAIC are paying for the repairs on my car........but this horrible company, Goal did not take responsibility or even contacted me. DO NOT EVER take your business here.....EVER! *Update - 8/30/2016 I received a letter from the Florida Department of Financial Services stating that after further investigation UAIC discovered the agency did leave the collision coverage left out when I switched my old car for my new. DO NOT USE! I've used this company since 2008, and the last year and a half or so, has been AWFUL! I'm not sure if they changed owners, or if there is a new staff...but it's not working for me anymore. Normally when I would call the office, I've always had a COMPETENT person to assist me- and as of late, not so much. Recently I called to re-new my insurance, and I waited 3 days for a call back...which never happened, so I called them back and gave my credit card info. This should have been my first clue. Every month I call and pay my insurance via CC, and this last time, the girl didn't process the payment correctly, and I received a letter stating that my insurance was canceled. ..Definitely won't be renewing again. read more
