We were craving snow cones, and no other ice cream. Decided to check this place out, and they didn't have snow cones, but they had something better, Hawaiian Shave Ice, top noche. I had the Caramel Green Apple that actually had blue bell ice cream inside, wow. My fiancé had a Cherry and Blue Raspberry and my son had Birthday Cake with Cherry. On my visits to Ohio , I would always be sure to swing by our favorite Shaved Ice place (summer only), so we were ecstatic when one opened in our neighborhood here in Orlando. Kurt is so nice and always willing to help us explore new flavors ( I am a strictly strawberry person, I never try anything else). He recommended 3 completely new flavors, with ice cream and whipped cream and candy topping.. SOMETHING I WOULD NEVER ORDER, but I LOVED IT! Kicking myself for not coming here sooner! After driving by too many times we finally decided to treat ourselves to some Hawaiian shave ice. And treat ourselves we did! My love and I ordered 2 8oz shave ice and opted for 3 flavors each. I chose cotton candy, sno cream, and the classic Tiger's blood. My love chose sno cream, tiger's blood, and banana. Both we got Hawaiian Style with ice cream center and topped with sweet condensed milk. Wow wow wowwwww. It was the perfect dessert! The customer in front of us said he was down from Virginia and they had visited last year and enjoyed it so much they made it a point to come again on this trip! Would love to see this place continue to be successful! We will definitely be regulars from here on out! There is plenty of parking nearby and several tables set up for you to enjoy your ice. read more

Great Guy! Introduced us with a smile and kind energy and starting conversations with us telling us what was popular on the menu and just small talks. Whenever I am in Orlando I LOVEEEEE coming here, the owner is so sweet every time my boyfriend and I come. Very helpful in helping us pick out what kind of shaved iced we wanted since there's so many options. I love that there is outdoor seating as well. It's a outdoor place (don't expect indoor), but there's seating outside and we went in the afternoon and night time and both times were very peaceful. There's parking behind the gift shop as well. I really recommend trying Hawaiian shaved ice here :) read more

Wow! This place is a hidden gym right in the middle of all the theme park action. This location is right across the street from Disney Springs. It is located right between Burger King and Denny's. There are so many flavors to choose from and the staff is extremely friendly. This is a must visit. I still can't get over how big the portions were! If you live in the area make sure you ask for a punch card. You will receive a free topper on your 5th visit, and free shave ice on your 10th visit. With how tasty this treat was, I know I will hit my 10th visit in no time. read more

Really good and authentic Hawaiian style shaved Ice! It's a little easy to miss it's a hut across from Denny's in front of a gift shop. The place is run by the owner himself who used to live in Hawaii and you can really tell he knows how to do Hawaiian style shaved ice. I recommend any of the Specialty combinations. Very unique and creatively made combos! We got the Unicorn, the Superhero, and Passionate Patriot. Everyone in our party loved theirs. We came across the mobile spot at the Mount Dora festival this weekend. My two kids, 11 and 9, who have had ALLLLLL kids of shaved ice said this was the best they have ever had. I agree! I love coming here, the flavor is amazing. I highly recommend the passion Fruit purée with lemon and lime. What I love more than the taste was watching him perfectly craft this together like a master architect. The level of care and attention to detail. What a fabulous find here in Kissimmee, FL! I was actually googling ice cream shops near me and came across Freeze Your Brain Shave Ice and was SOLD! "Shaved ice" is one of my favorite things, but this was my first time having a REAL "shave ice," Hawaiian style! There is a great variety of flavors to choose from and additional toppings to add as well. Literally every aspect of it was perfect from the super soft ice texture to the amount of syrup poured over the shave ice! My husband went with the kid size and went all out adding vanilla ice cream and sweetened condensed milk on top, while I went with the LARGE and added the condensed milk. It was one of the most delicious sweet treats I have ever had and I cannot wait to go back before we leave town. We also came at a good time of the night where we were lucky enough to catch the owner in some down time. He was able to chat with us and share his story and tell us more about the business. Next time you're in the area, you MUST stop for some shave ice for the family and if you have a few extra minutes, the owner is super exciting to chat with. Thank you for our treat! read more

Best shaved ice in Florida, hands down. It is an easy business to miss because it's tucked away behind a flea market, with lots of other food trucks. You won't want to miss this one though. We were so glad we found this treasure!! He has so many unique flavor options that I have not seen offered anywhere else, topping options (chocolate, condensed milk, marshmallow, caramel), and recipe concoctions. He takes shaved ice up SEVERAL notches by adding creamy vanilla ice cream in the middle (Hawaiian style) , with your choice of a topping. I had tigers blood, "Hawaiian style," with condensed milk on top and it was amazing!! My husband had green apple flavored ice, with Carmel drizzle, and creamy vanilla ice cream in the middle. It was heaven!! It made every other shaved ice I've tried seem mediocre. The gentleman behind the counter (the owner) was so friendly, helpful, and down right awesome. Customer service is top notch, as is the quality and taste of this dessert. We will definitely be back for more of this deliciousness!! read more

While in Florida our daughter was craving shaved ice After winning UCA I couldn't say no. We looked up shaved ice on yelp and found Freeze your Brain. We definitely got confused due to the location but after walking around we found them. A very pleasant gentlemen greeted us and he was a delight to chat with. Lifesaver on a 90+ degree day. Worth the wait if there's a line. This shaved ice actually has flavor. It isn't like the typical where you get halfway done and you're just crunching plain ice. In fact, it's fluffy in consistency so it melts in your mouth without the need to crunch it up. Generous potions too. Small was enough for both myself and my little boy. Will be back. read more

You want to talk about delicious and original shaved ice? You came to the right place! The fine pilot behind this bezel was Captain Kirk! He helped us kindly to get our brains frozen! I was hesitant at first, I mean with so many options to choose from you can spend quite some time staring into deep space. I made up my mind and went with Piña Colada. Captain Kirk made it right away and spared no time in getting my order just right. The service was pleasant and the shaved ice was spot on! It's over 90° outside, and having just spent the first half of the day walking around at Magic Kingdom, we we're definitely a welcomed sight... most definitely an awesome find. At this cool, tropical paradise, surrounded by a nonsensical sea of like 20 cookie-cutter Puerto Rican food trucks, We: Got a two Unicorns, one rainbow, and 2 superheros for the kids, and for the adults to share, we got a Large, Hawaiian-style Tropical Typhoon. It was incredibly satisfying: Hawaiian-style with vanilla ice cream in the middle and passion fruit syrup on top. Hands down one of the best things we've experienced on this trip. "Freeze Your Brain Shave Ice" was inspired by the Hawaiian style Shave Ice of the islands. Owner Kurt Jensen lived on the Big Island in the city of Kona for 2 years, enjoying the amazing Shave Ice experience of a little place called Scandinavian Shave Ice. It was this dessert and the lack of a true Hawaiian Shave Ice in central Florida that was the spark for "Feeeze Your Brain". Now anyone can enjoy the offerings of the Hawaiian islands right here in central Florida anytime!

Meet the Business Owner: Kurt J.

Kurt Jensen has spent his entire life in the customer service / guest experience business. Having worked for the top companies in the world like Disney and The Four Seasons Resorts & Hotels, Kurt's level of service is that of today's luxury Fortune 500 brands. An entertainer at heart, Kurt has been an entrepreneur since the age of 5, performing as a professional magician, singer and Steadicam operator for events and production. The owner was very sweet and welcoming, I notice him putting up everything the sign and my nephew wanted one so we rushed over he said it would be 20 mins or so. As soon as he opened we were first in line and he gave us complementary water for waiting which was very thoughtful. I use to live in Hollywood Florida which I use to go to get icees at a place called snowballs I was a regular and wow I missed having icees since moving to kissimmee and his were amazing every flavored was bursting !! I will now be a regular here I enjoyed it so much even my husband got one he enjoyed every bite lol. I would recommend this place especially to bring family !! read more

Had my first FYB treat today!! AMAZING!! I love the process, the price, and the service. Kurt has quite the vision out here on 192. I went during the day so I was not able to see the night scene but will definitely be back to see this concept at night when all the food trucks are busy. Living in clermont isn't easy, but it's a lot better having a nice frozen cup of whatever I want with FYB's extensive flavor selection. Two thumbs up, go check it out!
