From the initial body collection through the funeral service itself, their team helped shoulder a burden that felt impossible at the time. Ian, Michelle, Andrea, and Fabian were all kind, attentive, and deeply respectful throughout the entire process. Being able to have everything coordinated and completed within a single week was nothing short of a lifesaver, and their willingness to open early for us was an extra act of kindness we won't forget. On the day of the service, all of the flowers sent by loved ones were beautifully arranged, adding a sense of care and dignity to the space. Death is never easy to accept, and navigating logistics while grieving only makes it harder. While no one can ease the loss itself, the people at Berge‑Pappas‑Smith made an incredibly painful experience more manageable through their empathy and support. For that, our family is sincerely thankful.

Seeing it in person did not disappoint. A beautiful, humble, nicely gardened funeral home. Lots of parking, lots of greenery. Even more beautiful in person. Gorgeous chapel with a view of a lush garden. Very private, not huge, but good for a medium/large size gathering. Best fit for 30 - 100ish people. The staff were incredible and incredibly kind. It's a family owned business, and it is clear that they have pride in the business with good reason. Sam was our point of contact and director and he did such a wonderful job both in explaining the process and kindness in his guidance from start to finish. Ian, Art, and everyone who helped is with the day were wonderful. A wonderful day & so happy we chose BPS COTA for this occasion. Highly recommended.

This is definitely one of the more interesting historical places in Alameda County to visit. This…read moreis a very old Cemetery with many of the graves dating from the mid-to-late 1800s. Centerville Presbyterian Church is done a very good job of documenting and giving historical information on all of the graves here that could be identified. There is an information area in the center of the cemetery. On either side is a beautiful color color mural. I especially enjoyed reading about how the church was founded in the 1800s. You could find the family grave area for the Brier family nearby. I found it fascinating to wander around and just read the inscriptions on the grave markers. Some of them could not be read, but most of them could.

Driving down fremont blvd. next to the taco bell, I remember seeing a cheaply made "fremont/east…read morebay park" style sign. You know, a sign that typically says "boat rental" or "oak picnic area". Except this one said "OLD PIONEER CEMETERY". One of a few random "discoveries" as I was driving aimlessly around my hometown looking for something to explore whn I was in high school. Right off of blacow road, I never thought you could see a holdout of California history in a 50's era suburban wasteland like fremont but here it was, a reminder from the days before when this segment of town was called Washington Township. I wonder if anyone ever visits anymore. Its an old school cemetery covered in dead grass, dirt, and trees in a few parts. The tombstones are crazy old for fremont standards, like 1800s old. And you can tell from the weathered look of the statues and tombstones that they've been standing there for a while. It's kind of like the cemeteries at the Missions but with more gringo names. There really isn't much more to see or do here, unless you're doing some research for your family's past. And whadayaknow...the guys Blacow road and Jarvis Ave. are named after are buried here as well. If history floats your boat, check out this fremont landmark. It's also great for a photo class project which is what I ended up using it for. I guess it's good enough to have it's own wiki page so check it out... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centerville_Pioneer_Cemetery

I want to start by saying that planning these things are awkward and sometimes overwhelming, however, Veronica made the process so simply and she really went the extra mile for us. We reached out last July to ask about plans and options for arrangements for my parents, and she practically held my hand the entire way through and in the end, we chose to proceed because of how comfortable she made us, and how much she truly cared about getting us exactly what we wanted. My parents were set up within a few days, and she even did the paperwork for us on a holiday. Anyone who goes through Trident would be lucky to have Veronica as their advisor. The best thing about her was the humor and light hearted approach. She was always available, and I never felt pressured. She deserves so much recognition and her passion and dedication to her clients is very apparent. Thank you so much for all the help Veronica!

If you are looking for caring professionals who deliver outstanding results and move quickly, I highly recommend Trident Society without any hesitation. They are 5 star providers.
