What I loved most about my maternity pics is that Irene has several dresses to pick from to give you several looks. Who wants to go out and purchases several maternity dresses?? She has an excellent selection and is adding dresses to her collection. All of my pictures turned out great the hardest part was deciding which ones to print! My newborn shoot went so smoothly. Before arriving I filled out a form and what I wanted in my pictures. Irene took that interest form and put together a set up I wouldn't have even thought about incorporating into pictures. When I walked in for my session everything was set up for each shoot. I loved that she had the order planned out and got him dressed so that she could go from shot to shot easily. Irene was so patient when he woke up. She quickly changed directions and we circled back to get the rest of the shots at the end of the session. I'm looking forward to taking family pictures with Irene for years to come!

We've been using Emily for pictures of our son during his first year. I wanted 3,6,9, and 12 month…read morepictures, and she was able to let me create a package that worked for what we wanted. I had shopped around quite a bit and her prices were really fair for what we were asking. There are definitely other photographers out there with lower quality work that are charging a lot more. So far we have done 3 and 6 month pictures and they are great. During our first session my son was really fussy since he was teething and hadn't had much of a nap that day. I thought for sure we wouldn't get many good pictures because he was in such a bad mood, but Emily was able to catch him smiling, and we got a lot of really cute pictures! When it was time for our 6 month pictures we had scheduled a time to meet at our home for the shoot. Again my son was having a hard time getting a good nap in, I called Emily and asked if it was possible push back 30 minutes in the hopes that we could get at least a few minutes of sleep in so he wouldn't cry during our whole session. She was really flexible and told us to just call whenever he woke up. He was able to get a good solid nap in and we really appreciated the flexibility that day. And again the pictures were amazing. She has really been able to capture his personality and us as a family together. I would recommend Emily to anyone looking for a photographer in the StL area. She has done a great job capturing our son's first year so far, and I can't wait for our next 2 sessions. We wouldn't hesitate to book more sessions with her in the future!

Does anyone else see the irony in having a CD that is 'best viewed by phone' (as she described when I was picking out my pics). They weren't kidding either, 36-40kb. Really people? Ok well at least allow me to buy untouched high resolution images, you already have them and won't have to do any work, the lighting was so great I didn't need touchups. Nope they won't sell untouched full res images. Well you are losing easy business then. Might wanna rethink that. Overall great experience but buyer beware that the 'deal' isn't really what you might think.

The wedding packages come in three price tiers to fit your budget. Gary works with you to ensure you are getting everything you want for your wedding day. Carolyn sat with us to talk about a realistic payment plan (the wedding was a year away at this point) and provided receipts for every payment. The package included an engagement photo session which Gary highly encourages for the mere fact that it is an opportunity for him to get to know the bride and groom. Gary was very conversational during the engagement shoot and really just observed how we interacted so he could best prepare for the big day. The engagement photos turned out beautiful. A week before the wedding, Gary called and I walked him through the schedule of events for the day of. He was very open to requests and made suggestions of locations to take photos between the ceremony and reception. On the day of, he and his team were so helpful and professional. He kept my entire wedding party laughing and truly felt like a part of our group. I had so many of my friends and family complimenting how personable Gary and his team were and how they were really pleased with the ease and pace in which everything got done. His wife assisted him on the day of and she was not only sweet as can be, but SO creative with her photos. When I received the photos (about a month later since there were SO many), I cried. I was SO pleased with how beautiful they were and the attention to detail each held. Not only did Gary and his team perfectly capture our big day just as I remembered it, but he was truly a part of the experience that made the day feel so special. I learned that he not only took photos, but even assisted with getting guests seated to start the ceremony and helping my mom with details. I won't lie and say she isn't pricey...but the quality and professionalism definitely matches the cost. Our maternity session was shot in natural light in the evening at Forest Park. She helped us feel comfortable and helped me feel beautiful in the last weeks of my pregnancy. The newborn session was a special day for us. Heather came to our home 10 days after she was born and did lifestyle photos of our new family at home. She's very gentle and safe with newborns helping pose them on their terms allowing the babies time to settle in and bed ready for photos.
