We hired this company to redo our front landscaping, and was overcharged. Definitely not worth what we paid. The communication is awful. I spoke to someone who came out and gave a quote. We got a call from a different person, changed our plan and got a new quote. Everything we spoke about in the plan with guy #2 was like new info to the crew who came over, VERY NICE guys, but they had no idea what to do. I had to re-explain everthing again. I got 2 calls talking about "change in plans" and even charged us more than they should have because of it. It was frustrating. Not to mention the multiple miscommunications prior to the project date. There were some positives. The guys that came were nice and worked quickly. The grass has started to grow, and after their first lawn treatment our yard looked much healthier for a while. However, I'm disappointed with the overall quality of the landscaping work considering the price. The project was completed on June 15, weeds are already growing throughout the new rock bed, and the newly seeded grass is also very weedy. They did not put the black fabric down to stop the weeds from growing in rock bed. Another concern is the retaining wall. They reused our existing bricks to make it taller, but the bricks were simply stacked on top of each other without staggering them or brick glue, so they have already started to shift. The company also provides our lawn fertilization service. So far they have only come out once this season, and it helped initially. Weeds have started coming back and we're still waiting for the next treatment, but have no idea when that is since there is no communication. Overall, I don't feel the workmanship matches what we paid. I'm hoping the company will stand behind their work and address these concerns. I would not recommend. read more

Our yard is so large than we really need a Service to cut our lawn. Since 2016 we were using another service and then they just dropped a bunch of clients and started focusing on supposedly commercial clients without any notice. I needed to get someone to do my house very quickly and Fresh Cut Pros came over and I have to say they do an amazing job, are absolutely thorough, and even go above and beyond by cutting any weeds down with a Weedwhacker if they see them growing in the back of our yard because we try not to use weed killer or any kind of poisons on our lawn. I would highly recommend this Service, the guys who run the Service are terrific and very friendly. Also, if your lawn does not need to be trimmed one week, you could just call them up and tell them not to come over and that only will they skip your service, but you won't get charged for that week. If you weren't looking for a service to either cut your lawn or do other things on your property because they do offer other yardwork I would highly recommend giving this company a call. read more

RUN, DON'T WALK!! I am outraged with this company. We were selling our home in Minooka as we have moved to Las Vegas. As I was in Las Vegas, my wife was prepping the house. Part of that prep included a yard clean up and mulching. THEY HAD THE NERVE TO CHARGE MY WIFE $3,600 to pick up sticks, mow, plant a little grass, apply fertilizer, and mulch. This was a $2,000 job AT MOST. The worst part is that they threw away three trellises we had in the yard that were being cleaned and reassembled. THEY JUST TOOK THEM AND THREW THEM AWAY (or stole them) WITHOUT ASKING. My wife called about the $600 of trellises they took SEVERAL TIMES. They gave us a third of what I paid for the trellises only after I showed them proof from my ring doorbell that they took them ... they essentially called my wife a liar, doing nothing until I provided proof. And then someone named Michael Crnkovic sent 1/3 of what I paid for the trellises, and much less than their replacement cost. In addition, they did not do what they said they were going to do; in fact, it was so bad that the first people to see our house commented that they were not interested because, "The back yard needs so much work." This was AFTER they had supposedly made our yard "sale ready." Extremely unprofessional and unethical!!!! I wouldn't recommend these buffoons to ANYONE!!!! SO SO BAD DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I with I had read the reviews first! We paid them almost $800 to do our mulch and didn't even get an inch of mulch. They told us when they'd be here and then showed up a day early, while we weren't home. At first I was like oh ok it will get done early. No...I now feel they did it so we wouldn't be home to see them install the mulch. There are parts of the beds where you can still see the dirt and the tree roots. Yes, they came back (also when we weren't home) to fix one of the beds around a tree that they had cut into the wrong shape, to put it back into the shape it had been, which is how I wanted it, but it looks like they just pushed the mulch around to fill it instead of adding more because the tree roots were even more visible. I'm 60 years old and I would rather waste a weekend and hurt my back hauling and spreading mulch than let them anywhere back in my yard. The man who came out for the estimate, Mike, was great. Even helped us out with a completely unrelated issue, which was very much appreciated. Abby in customer service, also very nice in our email exchange. But, the workers who came out did a TERRIBLE mulch job and nice people on the front end don't make up for a bad job on the yard. Looking at a yard that you know you wasted your money on and will have to go out and spend more money and sweat on to fix it yourself is very disappointing. I used Fresh Cut for a summer, a winter, and now this summer. I have had to constantly email them to remind them of forgotten jobs. This includes mowing areas of my yard for unknown reasons, not shoveling my back walkway despite having paid extra for this service. They also changed policies without notice and then tried to offer me other services that they also charge for to make up for jobs that should have just been taken care of with the lawn mowing or could have been avoided if I had notice of the policy changes prior. read more

If you want a company who uses Green Pal to get the job, you contract thru Green Pal, then Fresh Cut has their office call you to tell you to cancel thru Green Pal and schedule directly with them, now that they got you thru someone elses advertising expense, you REFUSE, they come over and mow the lawn on the other side of the BLOCK, then, after you contact Green Pal, and fill them in on the Fresh Cut D-bags scheme, Green Pal assures you they will not be used again, and sends you a GOOD contractor, but Fresh Cut, apparently keeps billing you directly and/or mowing an already mowed lawn, and when you refuse to pay, due to their ineptitude, shadiness, and outright d-bagness, then has the balls to send you to COLLECTIONS, then you are either brave or stupid. I'll NEVER pay them, and in fact I'm SUING them. read more
