I had a small job of removing a tree by my garage. Ginkgo was the only out fit that maintained communications both from the quoter (Rigo) and the office (Isabelle). The other 3 outfits I called for a quote never responded or failed to show up without even calling me to reschedule. Rigo showed up as arranged. Based on that meeting and price quote I then asked for quote on some landscaping . Fair pricing again. His crew shows up today 45 min. early and where done in 2 hours. They cleaned up my front yard of debris and they seem to work well as a team. I will use them again in the future and would recommend them. read more

I really have to say Ginkgo exceeded my expectations. I tried to clear a large area behind my house that had gone wild. I got about half way done cutting down trees when I had to admit the job was just too big for me. There were about 40 trees that had to go. Ginkgo was recommend to me by a co-worker. Their quote was lower than the other quotes I received. Ginkgo arrived on time and completed the work in a very professional, friendly manner. I had been working on this project for weeks. They finished in about 3 hours. They did an amazing job clearing the trees, hauling all the debris and grinding all the stumps. We had a big blue spruce tree removed and some large bushes. We were very impressed with the work that these guys did. They let us know when they were coming and showed up on time. We just had our evergreen bushes and two large maple trees trimmed by Gingko. They showed up on time and went right to work. My wife was very happy with the work on the bushes. Compared to the work done by another local company last year on the same bushes, Gingko's work was far superior. They know what they are doing and it shows. As far as the trees, this was the first time those had been trimmed in thirty years (other than the stuff I did myself). Again, excellent work and results. They cleaned up after themselves very well. Rigo, and his crew are professional, and always on time. This is the third time I am using their services. I would give them ten stars if I could. They cut down two huge diseased evergreens in my front yard. Rigo worked with me in designing a beautiful landscape design after the evergreens were gone. The second time they cut down two diseased trees in my backyard. They also trimmed a huge tree in my courtyard the same day. They are back today to remove the stumps, and plant a red maple. I'm writing this review based on my experience I had with Ginkgo on March 16, 2017 and in hopes this may assist you with your decision to whether or not to hire this company for your needs. I wanted to remove a dead 70 ft. Ash Tree next to a power line in my backyard. I began to search the internet for tree removal companies in my area. If you are like me, it is difficult to decide especially with so many choices you will find on Google. Reading reviews from prior customers is very important. I found 5 who were willing to come out and give me an estimate within that week. One estimator said he did not want take the job due to the complications of the tree being dead/brittle and located so close to the power line. So, I narrowed it down to 2 choices which were Ginkgo or Moreno's Tree Service. I made an appointment for March 08 with Ginkgo to give me an estimate. The owner, Rigo arrived on schedule, explained to me the process, provided me a written estimate and a photocopy of his company's insurance papers (without me asking for them). I also made another appointment for March 09, at 3pm for an estimate with Moreno's. I left work early that day to arrive home on time. I waited until 430 pm before I called for an update or the reason for the no show. There was no answer so I left a voice message. The following day I received a call from Moreno's and the lady apologized for overbooking. She said she would be out today at 4pm to give me an estimate. I gave them another chance and said yes. The estimate for the same service was half the price of Ginkgo's and the lady (estimator) assured me their company have insurance which she did show me, but I had noticed the expiration date was within a week from the day of the estimate. I figured the insurance is still valid, so I'll give it some consideration. I called Moreno's to provide me either a photocopy or a picture via text of their insurance. She said "ok, I'll send it to you" and like the previous appointment, no answer after multiple attempts. I decided to hire Ginkgo for the fact of their professionalism and their competitive pricing. Sometimes if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Ginkgo's prices are very competitive and reasonable compared to the other estimates I had received. 15 minutes into their arrival, I knew I had made the right choice. Rigo arrived with his crew on time and what appeared to be something out of a movie; his crew began marching straight to my backyard (as if my tree done something to offend them) carrying ropes, shovels, rakes, wheel barrels, carts, and chainsaws followed by their leader with a cup of coffee in hand. He then put his coffee down, grabbed the rope and started to rope the tree for his climber. I almost felt bad for that tree. After looking at it for the past few years it was gone in a few hours. This crew worked like termites on steroids. They were cutting, hauling, and chipping this tree down to nothing. I was so impressed with their work ethics, I had asked them to trim 2 other trees while they were here for an additional/reasonable price. They cleaned all the debris and left my property as if they weren't there. The owner even hauled away my neighbor's small pile of branches they left on the curb. Overall, I was so impressed and satisfied with Ginkgo, I gave them more than the original estimate. These guys truly care about their customers and respect their properties. customer service is terrible! i called and asked if they provided yard service to replace plants and mulch. the young lady said they did and we scheduled an appointment for the next day at 6pm. i called at 6:45pm to find out what caused the delay and the same young lady said i will call him cell and call you right back. she never asked for my number (so that means they have caller id). so that helps me to understand why she didn't answer when i called back. if they could not assist me, they could have said that up front! what business does'nt show up for an appointment, does'nt call to cancel! nor do the return the call when you call!!!! i will never call them again!!! read more

We used their service 3 times for tree removal and one was the day after a huge ice and snow storm. They came out withing 24 hrs to remove the tree from our neighbors property and had to work in over a foot of snow. They are friendly, professional, hard-working, fast and have great rates.
