I went here to get a deep cleaning because I have a lot of cavities to fill. It was very traumatic when they had to numb my right side gums with 3 shots. Normally I'm able to take the pinching pain and stand it, but if felt like the dentist lady was injecting straight into a nerve. She was rough and I started to tear up and yell. The care quality and beside manners were terrible. I raised my hand for her to stop but she went on another 2 seconds. I asked to be sat up and she immediately left the room as I was shaking. I didn't know dentists that were open on Sunday existed.. until I needed one. Husband woke me up at 3 am with a swollen face. I was like dude it's 3 am, you just woke up..normally people are red when they first wake up. I didn't see the swelling at first. Even if I didn't see it at first. He's very in tune with his body and knows it best. We started calling emergency dentists about 6 am. Husband just pretty much walked into this place and they took him right away. Our son has had a tooth abscess before and it moved to under his eye, which could be deadly if the drainage went to his brain. Husband was rightfully paranoid and just wanted to know if it needed to be taken care of ASAP or would he be okay until he gets back to DFW. Long story short. Dr Huynh gave him pain meds and antibiotics. Told him he needed the tooth out soon or retreat of root canal, but nothing immediate. Plus the Lady got insulted once I told her there is no way a root canal is worth that much $3,000 please a Implant cost that much but a root canal! 0 stars if i could, service is bad you have to wait at least 30-60 mins each time. When it's time for them to check you they are not careful at all with your gums or anything. They've hurt my gums w the drills at least 5 times. If you miss 2 appointments even excused they make you quit your treatment. They removed my molars and i had to stay with gaps on my teeth. The waiting times is long they do not want you to be late but when it comes for them to see you they can take over the 15 minute grace period they give you to be there. My daugther came across one of their workers while changing her out her wire. She was so unprofessional and at that rude. Despite the ups and downs I've had at this place, the outcome paid off! Every time I went in the orthodontist doctor was always kind and was flexible with my schedule! Jesus, the assistant (the one who changed my rubber bands) was always in a upbeat mood that made me want to go in! He would always give me good advice on how to maintain my braces! I've gone in for the same treatment and was charged differently every differently and the couldn't explain why. Worst experience at a dental place. Waited thirty minute to be served. I told them all my problem over the phone. They knew I needed a specialist for implants. They made me wait another hour to tell me the specialist is too busy with someone else..i guess my money and time is not worth their time... Once I called they said the manager may come in at 10am or 11am they were not sure . And that I would get a call at 4pm. I said no , you guys owe me money , y'all need to call me ! Why wasn't my dental visit as a kid cool as this place?!?! I spent most of my childhood at the dentist office rather than doing something fun. My visit to Apple Dentist would be every other month to monthly visits. I had my fillings, root canals, braces all done there.. Thanks to Apple Dentist, I've been traumatized to ever going back to dental care as an adult. All I can remember was nothing good coming from that place. Lets just say the braces I got on, I had to get them redone somewhere else. I've been paying for dental insurance for the past 7 years and never once used it. Now that I'm older & can no longer endure the pain in my mouth, it is time to visit the dentist. A friend of mine referred me to Dr. Nguyen (I swear, we are not related) I still remember the procedures at the dentist. Getting my X-rays done was one of my least favorite. It's not painful, just uncomfortable when the film is in your mouth. Having someone insert & remove a plastic film in your mouth. Not sure because I'm an adult and my jaw is bigger compared to when I was a kid. The dental assistant was very gentle on my X-rays and it did not feel uncomfortable at all. I finally did my teeth cleaning after 12 years of hiding from the dentist. It was not as bad as I thought! I had an old filling that bothered me every now and then. I thought I had to get a root canal, thank goodness I didn't need one! Dr. Nguyen applied some seal and that pain is now gone. I just need to floss daily and use sensodyne toothpaste. Even with my dental insurance, my bill seemed reasonable. If you don't like dental visits and feel skeptic with dental offices on Bellaire. Have no fear, and check out Fresh Dental. Back in September 2015 we had a good experience with Fresh Dental Care on Bellaire. Service was fast and good so we decided to come back for another tooth extraction. (the first time was also a tooth extraction) So far this visit has been TERRIBLE. I say this while sitting in their wating area. My husband had an appointment at 5pm and it is now 7:32pm. Guess who still has his tooth? Yeah, my husband. A 2 and half hour (plus whatever more time we have here) is NOT ok. Not only that, but they wanted to charge him $300 when last time they did it for $200. They settled for $250. Ridiculous. They also always want to run your credit to finance other services you didn't even ask for. If my husband came to get a tooth extracted, then please extract him. We don't want your financing. The assistants were great by making me feel comfortable. I also really like the office layout and decor, very pretty and modern. Update to my Update: I found a Dentist that uses my insurance and is able to cover all four of my wisdom tooth extraction at No cost. So I call this location for a request of my xrays and they can't work with my dentist to confirm patient information and send it over they want me to physically go to the location and sign a release form. They have the audicity to say that it's like a gym cancellation where you have to physically go to sign off on your cancellation. Lol no. You can cancel your gym membership online. They just are upset at losing a customer. I had high hopes and a great recommendation for this place. THEY CHARGE YOU SO MUCH MORE IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE!!!! Serious Scammers. My experience was great friendly staff and doctors and very pretty location and remodeling. Up until the bill part came up. They're prices are ridiculously high WITH great insurance. They quoted me 2500 to get my wisdom teeth removed and that's not including all the fees they charged my insurance simply to do xrays on me. I'm having to pay them $80 just for "complimentary xrays." It seems as though they changed they're prices to cover the cost of their renovations and expansion and extremely unnecessary technology. The experience is really not worth the cost. read more

Later, the insurance acknowledged their mistake and reinstated coverage and I requested that they request payment for those procedures for which I paid. I had a friend go here because he had unsightly teeth from smoking, coffee, and bad hygiene. After he came here, his teeth came out looking brand new. So after remembering this, I decided to give this place a call. I tried to get the same dentist, but the dentist wasn't available. They got me in 15 minutes later with a Dr. Luu (?). She did an amazing job getting my teeth whiter and cleaner than any other dentist. I was so pleased with the results that I boasted to my friends and family. As a result, two more people went and now their smiles look like a million bucks! Pro tip: Go on a weekday cause you'll be in and out like me. This is my 2nd review i believe. The workers here are nice & young. But i dont recommend getting braces here. They literally only want your money. I was suppose to get my braces off a year ago.
