HORRIBLE SERVICE, POOR MANAGEMENT, 0 CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS I had scheduled a cut and color. I told them my current hair color, it's length, what I wanted it colored to. I drove 50 MILES, an HOUR AND A HALF, to get there. They sat me down, and said they didn't have time for my hair. The receptionist apparently messed up and didn't put in any of the information I told her. The stylist got the manager (and never came back to apologize). The manager said they didn't have time for anything- no cut, no color. She was so unprofessional. Didn't offer anything to accommodate me. Just let me sit there and cry. Fucking awful. My daughter and I went to the Fresh Hair Salon in Bucks County for the first time. I got a touch up and cut by Dana. My daughter got partial highlights by Dana. I am very pleased with the outcome of my hair. Dana was very attentive to what I needed. She showed the same attention to my daughter. The salon was very welcoming ! I will be returning! If I could give zero stars, I would! It has taken me 2 years, yes 2, to finally write this review. I'm still disappointed and disgusted with what happened during my visits at this hair studio in January 2017. I had been dealing with hair breakage due to over processed hair due to too much bleaching. I knew that Fresh was a very well known and high end, reputable salon, which is why I chose to call them and set up an appointment to help with my hair concerns. I went in and met with Chrissy, who was a platinum blonde herself and was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. I explained to her my situation. I had currently had a shadow root with dark roots transitioning to blonde down the shaft and to the ends. I explained that there was a halo of brass around the darker color (about an inch from my scalp) and I was just looking for a way to cool that brass down. I was told by my previous hairdresser not to bleach the hair for awhile as my hair was very fragile. I told Chrissy this information and also showed her some breakage that had occurred already on my head. As Chrissy took a look at my current hair, she made her recommendation. She expressed that my hair did not look too damaged or broken and that she felt the best bet was for me to get back to all blonde, platinum. She told me that trying to fix just the brassy halo around my head would be very tedious and it would be better to go blonde. She seemed pretty confident, and I trusted her as the professional. This is my biggest regret. I scheduled my appointment for a few days later on a Friday afternoon. The process took about 3 hours. I never did get a blow dry before I left, but we'll get to that. Chrissy and I had text each other back and forth a few times beforehand and she and I were both excited. Being platinum was what I truly wanted. After the 3 hours of foils and the dryer and more products etc etc I sat down in Chrissy's chair. To start, my roots were bright orange. I mentioned this and Chrissy said she didn't want to put anymore chemicals on my hair at the moment since it just went through the 3 hour process. She told me that I could come back in a week and she would try to put something on it to lighten it a bit more. So there I was, with fire crotch roots. Also, she began drying a tiny piece of my hair and then said she felt my hair was a bit fragile at this point and didn't want to put any heat on it. She told me to let it air dry and I left with a wet head. I went down the shore that weekend with friends from college. I had my hair pulled back until the following day when I showered again. After showering, this is when I realized the horror!!! I went to brush my hair, and realized that I literally had bangs that were about a half inch long. The ENTIRE CRADLE of my hair on my head was GONE! FRIED! I literally almost had a panic attack. I could not believe what I saw... or didn't see. My hair was WRECKED! I immediately text Chrissy and she said she did not notice any breakage during the processing. I find this extremely hard to believe because every single hairdresser whom I have told about this experience says that there is NO WAY she did not know before I left that salon. I asked her about my options. Literally asked about wigs, extensions etc. I couldn't walk around in public like this. I literally had sessions with my therapist discussing how traumatized I was about my hair and how embarrassed I was to leave my house, go to work, etc. The best Chrissy offered me at first was 6 months of treatments to help my hair grow. That did NOTHING for my current issue, that I never even asked for! I finally asked for a refund and Chrissy talked to her manager and they agreed to refund my money. When I went to the salon to pick up the refund, a manager came from behind the desk and handed me my $196 and said "sorry it didn't work out," and then walked away. No one even offered to take a look at the aftermath of extremely over processed, burned off hair! I felt very mistreated by the management. She didn't care at all about my situation. I went into work a few days later crying to colleagues and wondering what I was going to do to mask this mess. I was referred to a stylist in Newtown who specialized in blondes as well as in extensions. She literally saved my life. She fit me in in a pinch, and was able to tone down the orange and put in some very thin extensions to try to somewhat compensate for my non existent hair. I have had to pay thousands of dollars over the last 2 years to have extensions because my hair is still not back to what it was when I stepped into Fresh Hair Studio that day with Chrissy. read more

Came here a few weeks ago because my hairdresser moved to this salon. It's a huge salon with many employees and looked very clean. Julia did an amazing job on my hair but when I left the salon I realized the color was too light for me - no fault of hers, the lighting was just different. I gave it a few days and it was still too light for my liking so I scheduled an appointment to get toner put in - this was free since they considered it a "re-do" which I was really appreciative of. I went back on a Tuesday which they have a $20 blowout which I decided to get done as well. Julia did a great job and was really understanding. I will definitely be back! read more

I have been going to Fresh since the day it opened and I figured it was time to write a Yelp review about how incredible it is. While the studio is awesome - great vibe and relaxing, the people are truly what makes it the best. From the second I sit to get my hair washed I am instantly relaxed! I am sure all of the stylists are amazing but I must say I cannot imagine letting anyone else touch my hair except Judy. Many of my friends and my entire family go to Judy because she is simply that great. I have naturally dirty blonde hair so she adds highlights to make it even better. No matter where I go - out to dinner, the gym (where my hair is obviously a mess!) or on a vacation across the country people stop me to ask "Where do you get your hair done and who does it?" It always makes me feel great that even months after Judy does my highlights they still look fresh and amazing. Hands down, she's an incredible colorist!! THE ONLY THING FRESH AT THIS PLACE IS THE EMPLOYEES ATTITUDES!!!! I took my teen daughter to this place upon her request. I found the stylist to be very rude and condescending when we were discussing highlights/color for my daughter. I asked for samples (hair color) to give me an idea of what color she was suggesting. She stated they do not have color samples!!! She was further condescending so I said I did not think this was gonna work out and I was asking for someone else to do my daughters hair. The owner came over and had an attitude that was neither appreciative nor apologetic. WOW usually owners atleast attempt to act like they care about customers. When the 2nd stylist came over, she suggested hair colors, ran and got the color samples (I thought they did not have them??) and then did my daughters hair. This whole fiasco cost a good $150. and at the end of the day it looks no different than the much less expensive and more appreciative place we now go to. read more

worst customer service experience ever. not only did my hair turn out worse than what it looked like before I came in, I practically did the hair dressers job for her. she made me BRUSH my own hair after she washed it and she made me dry it myself. I paid for a service I did to myself. I LOVE this place! I'd have to love it to drive all the way from VA just to get my hair finished by Debby. I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else. I'm guilty of it..I destroyed my hair with boxed dye for years. Debby and her magical color senses changed that for good. She turned my funky bad box dye umbra into hotness! It took some time, but it was a drastic improvement the very first time I saw her back in December 2014. Debby is pure talent. SHORT VERSION: Amy Cummings at Fresh Hair Studio is the best stylist I have ever had and she does amazing color work. LONG VERSION: A few years ago, after an unfortunate incident with my former stylist, I made an appointment at Fresh Hair Studio based solely on the fact that they are located close to where I live. They set me up with Amy Cummings, which in hindsight I consider one of the luckiest things that has ever happened to me. Amy is by far the best stylist I have ever had. I have found that usually a stylist is either good at cutting OR color and just ok with the other but Amy is an expert in both. I have long, thick hair that is part wavy and part straight in a random pattern, and historically it has been a struggle to get any type of color to last. This all changed with Amy. The CUT: The first thing Amy does is a thorough consultation. She will ask you lots of questions about your hair and what style you are looking for. Then she will repeat back to you a summary of the key points of what you said or asked for to make sure that she completely understands what you want. She takes her time cutting and is very meticulous. The outcome of this careful approach is a beautiful cut that exactly matches whatever we agreed on. The COLOR: Amy is hands down the most skilled color artist I have ever had. My natural hair color is a mousy brown that is totally blah. For the first year or so with Amy I kept my hair brown. Originally a warm medium brown, I gradually went darker until my hair was almost black. For every appointment, even just touch-ups, Amy had the same consultative approach, showing me color swatches, making recommendations and explaining exactly what the resulting look would be. I was very happy with each coloring. Then one day I decided to go red. Going from near black, super thick, long hair with multiple layers of color to medium, naturally looking light red would be a challenge for even the most skilled technician and I really expected her to say that it would not be possible. Of course that was not the case. She dove right in and explained how she would lift the existing color out of each part of the hair, and how she would put multiple shades of red back in to give it a really natural look. I don't know anything about formulating hair color but Amy is a total color scientist, completely confident in each batch that she ordered - and I think it was about six different formulas altogether - and getting the right result with each step. Fast forward three hours and my near black hair was amazingly transformed into the most stunning red I have ever seen. Gorgeous, multi-faceted color, bright enough to have the WOW factor but still very natural looking at the same time. You could tell that this was a particularly impressive feat because many of her colleagues came over to compliment her work and ask questions about how she did it. From that point on I have stuck with the same base color and highlights and Amy is still exacting as ever in her approach. I CONSTANTLY receive compliments on my hair from total strangers, usually at least once a week. The comments are almost always something like 'you are so lucky' or 'wish I was born with hair like that' because everyone assumes that it is my natural color and they are shocked when I say my hair is really brown. I have actually even started carrying Amy's business cards with me because the next question is always 'who is your stylist?'. So, if you are looking for a new stylist or are not completely happy with your current one, I highly recommend that you go see Amy She really is the holy grail of hair stylists. read more

I'm a salon junkie. I move from place to place. I just haven't met my stylist soulmate....until now. My hair is long, it's coarse , it does whatever it feels like. And now thanks to age, stress , God mocking me , I have grays. So it's a tall order to say the least. I decided to try Fresh. When I initially called to book my first appointment, the receptionist said they would place me with Jess. " Jess has long hair, you'll be in good hands. " She couldn't have been more right. Jess is a miracle worker. Am I basing this on one visit ? Not at all. I just had my second haircut and Jess has done my color 4xs now. She is awesome , she listens , she offer suggestions and I totally trust her. She has taken my dull flat brunette color and made it warm & shiny. The cut, she told me I could use some layers , wow! It moves now and it doesn't take forever to style it. I LOVE MY HAIR. As for the salon, it's beautiful and the staff are really welcoming. I really enjoy coming here. This was my first time in awhile switching hair salons and my friend had recommended me to fresh. i was a little nervous at first because i am very picky with how i want my hair done. I had to go in for a touch up on my roots and fixing my ombre look. they scheduled me with E and he was awesome. granted i was there for about 3 hours but he was amazing. he took a lot of time to find a hair color that matched my original color at the top for my roots and added a tint of like red and it looks really cool. when he went to my ombre, he told me he dint want me to go too blonde, but i wanted it anyways so he did it for me. and it looks amazing! just what i wanted and it is definitely noticeable which i love! For over a year I've been coming to Fresh to get my hair cut & colored by Erin. I will never go anywhere else. I've never been happier with a salon or a stylist. My hair has never looked better. She listens to me & my ideas & offers her own which are always totally awesome. The salon itself is gorgeous with plenty of off street parking. This salon is too busy. Not busy in that it seems popular, busy in that they rush and don't care. They don't spend any time with the client in their chair. I've been three different times, at different times and days of the week, and this is always the case. They don't listen to what you want and rush you out of the seat with a low quality haircut. I asked for a simple trim and long layers and every time got botched short layers that were uneven. I've since found another salon that takes their time and really focuses on what you want, asking questions to help better understand, instead of just rushing through to get the appointment done. read more

After having two dismal experiences at other salons.... I noticed a gal at Bed Bath and Beyond whose hair was just so beautiful. I asked her where she had her hair colored and she told me at "Fresh Hair Studio". I was quite disgusted with my muddy looking color and even moreso with my cut..... so I thought I might as well try Fresh. I looked on Yelp and was impressed with the reviews about Amy. I called and had a consultation with her and she was warm and welcoming and took the time to really talk to me about my hair. Yesterday was my first appointment with Amy and I am so very happy with the results. My hair is shiny, soft and the color is just perfect. I am so happy that I discovered Fresh and moreso Amy. Came here for my wedding with all my bridesmaids. I'm a very ordinary-looking person, but these people seriously sent me out of the building looking like a movie star, which was especially impressive since I was running on two hours of sleep. I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments I got. I sort of pride myself on not caring about my appearance, but the reactions were really fun. Ashley and her assistant did my hair, and I think the person who did my makeup was named Barbara (?) Gotta check on that. Anyway, just incredible. Both hair and makeup were out of this world. My hair is down to my waist, and Ashley still did a great job. I was skeptical about fake lashes but they were actually lovely and subtle. Fresh hair was more expensive than the previous salon I tried, but the price difference was insignificant compared to the increase in value. The other place burned my hair to a crisp (and waist-length hair means this damage will take another 10 years to fully grow out, grrr) Ashley managed to hide the previous damage and do a beautiful job anyway!! The other day I got my hair done my Shannen Cwenar and it exceeded my expectations. My hair was one shade of red and pretty dull. Well, she fixed my hair up into a vibrant red with many dimensions, healthier then ever, that lead me to get compliments the entire day. Also, yanno how you go to hair salons and you ask for a hair cut and they do it how THEY want too? As if it's not your hair? Shannen cut my exactly how I wanted it. I wish I could say this is a great salon. I made my appointment over 2 weeks ago and it came with consistent phone calls about my appointment. First we had to change the time, okay I can deal with that. Than the stylist who I was scheduled with called to do a consult with me over the phone about the service I wanted to have done and she decided that another stylist would be a better match ..okay dealing with it but getting a funny feeling about this already. Than I get a phone call 3 days prior to my appointment tell me the stylist they moved me to was not going to be in Saturday now 3 days until my appointment. REALLY you're going to tell me this girl showed up to work on Wednesday this week and said I not working on Saturday ...WAIT didn't she bother to look at her book last week ...this should have not been a surprised that she had appointments. And to top it off they tell me she is booked and off the rest of the month......OKAY she can't be the only stylist and nobody bothered to offer anyone else...I will not suggest or even think about trying this place...VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and I didn't even get in the door. read more
