The best fresh, healthy eating anywhere. My favorite is the green smoothie with ginger and the acai bowl. Yum!

Thought we'd try this place for my husband's birthday. Surprised first off that they charge $1.00…read morefor a glass of tap water. Ordered prime rib and chicken Marsala. Portions were small (other than the prime rib, which was the weight it was supposed to be). Sides are extra and small portions. Dinners came with a frozen crappy breadstick, not at all the quality we expected with the rest of the meal. Don't think we will be back for the prices of the meals and the portions we received.

We had the smoked prime rib which was tender enough to cut with a fork and almost the perfect amount of smoke. Maybe a bit too much but still tasty. It was next door to a gonja store so as you walked thru the front door you got a big whiff of smoke. My gps took us to the back door for some reason but we drove around the square and found parking in the front. Soooo...starting out in the alley and then finding the front door with a huge whiff of gonja wafting about made for a funny evening out with the wife

You'll…read morefind the charming delicatessen and shop on the north side of US 70 in the west end of McEwen, TN. Five stars for a road-side business? Yep. This humble establishment is shining full-on and out-classing others in more expensive places (that should be taking notes or otherwise be ashamed of themselves!) Expecting white bread and bologna?? It's there, but part of a menu that offers the best selection of sandwich meats (15 to 20+?,) cheeses, and artisan sandwich breads I've encountered in a long, long time. They simply do it well. I suspect you'll be hard pressed to find anyone else stocked to produce velvety smooth liver loaf on a cheddar and jalapeno bread (not sorry that I was too busy enjoying my meal to snag a pic.) It was not only tasty, it was beautifully done. It's not over-the-top and it's not high-volume. It's clean and truly memorable. There's a variety of sodas, teas, and coffee. Yes, they sell marmalade...and fudge...and top-notch prepared salads to-go...breads, bubblegum cigars...cookies...sauces...and just explore the shelves to find yourself smiling. You're in the country and your mileage is only likely to vary by the road that brought you there. So, enjoy the porch...the picnic table... or your car seat. All orders are for carry-out (no indoor dining.) Take time to smell the flowers and enjoy the potted plants which brighten the place (and are also for sale.)

No thank you. Again that's my only complaint about them, but if you got the MO ey to spare go the food is delicious, but if you're on a budget well they don't have a dollar anything.

The food at Whitts is consistently top notch! Great food at an even greater price! It is one of…read morethe most affordable places in town. Two people can eat for around $12 and leave full. The only thing that could make this a five star review is to improve customer service. The last two times I have visited (weekdays, just after the lunch crowd) I felt service to be lacking. Most recently the young lady taking our orders barely acknowledged us, stared at us waiting for us to speak as opposed to asking "what can I get for you," not so much as a smile or a "thank you for coming." It was directly after what I would assume is the lunch rush and, while I appreciate she may have been tired, I honestly felt as though I were imposing on her personally for coming into the restaurant. In the interest of full disclosure, I received service from the same employee both times, so this may be an isolated occurrence. I recommend going to Whitts for the food and value, just don't always expect a smile when you do.
