This is the closest store where I can shop and get organic fresh vegetables in the seasons when I cannot harvest from my garden and greenhouse. I do not purchase other products as the prices are higher than I can get them elsewhere. 80 percent of the time I have shopped in this store I have been overcharged. Make sure to ask for the itemized receipt and check it carefully to make sure you are not overcharged. When alerting the check out person there is no real apology only some explanation that does not really explain why I was overcharged. I used to buy packaged lunches that were made by Chow Mein and last time I was there I was told they have decided not to carry their products any longer. I no longer shop at Fresh Off the Farm. I do not go to this store on a regular basis and today reinforced my decision to go to other stores that offer similar products. The staff butted in front of me without any "excuse me" or other acknowledgement . The cashier did not ask for my number so that I could have my purchase count towards my rewards. I grew up and have lived here all my life so I am not a tourist or from away. I will never go to this store again after the treatment I experienced today. Stopped to pick up some quick produce and yogurt. Incredibly well kitted out farm stand with great produce and selection. Little bit pricey but seems like it is worth it - would definitely stop by again if around. read more

Don't go in FoF until Covid is over! There were probably 12 (or more) people in the store at one time. No way to socially distance or keep from having people walk past you in the aisle, within a foot of you. For a store that size, it should be a maximum of four or five people and social distancing should be enforced. People wore masks and tried to keep a distance, but it was impossible to do so! Great Place! I do the majority of my grocery shopping here and I'm always so happy. The produce is super fresh, local, and delicious with a mostly organic selection. They also have a nice bulk section in the back where you can get oats, flour, cornmeal, nuts, seeds, etc. And some more groceries, so it's more than just a farmstand. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff are all friendly. So friendly that when I left my tomatoes on the counter, they ran out after me with them. I highly recommend this place! read more

If you enjoy being treated with contempt by the proprietor of a store, this is the place to go. I've been a long-term customer. Their location is convenient to me as I pass by on my way home form work. Yesterday was the first time I ever returned anything I bought there. I bought some bakery bread Monday and returned it the next day because it was so dry it crumbled. I was tempted to just use it for toast, because it is a nice Swedish rye, but I really wanted it for sandwiches. So I went in, planning to swap it out, but the clerk began arguing with me that it had just come in yesterday. I am not here to dispute when it arrived, I said, but it is very dry. He called over his manager. She opened the bag, and took out slice after slice, feeling it and breaking each slice and proclaiming each one to be fine. She insisted that it had just come in. She said, "It's a dense bread-you know, it's not like the bread you buy in the Shop 'n Save." Ouch. I told her that I know bread, I had been baking bread for over twenty years. Another cleck came up to the counter, and seeing the destroyed loaf, said, "What happened here!?" The manager was writing a note, and sarcastically spoke as she wrote, "Customer said IT. WAS. DRY." She avoided looking at me when she spoke and didn't say a word to me at the end of the transaction- just walked off. After much to-do, I bought five yogurts and got ninety three cents change. Upon receiving it, I observed that was a shame this was handled so badly. The manager sailed right back to the counter. "If you have something to say, you say it to me; I'm the manager." So I did. I told her that she had handled the situation in the worst way possible, caused unnecessary hard feelings and lost a good customer. She promptly denied that. "I gave you your money back," she pointed out. Apparently she considered that to be a satifactory resolution and she took for granted that I should accept being treated like dirt and not find the implied accusation that I was a liar and an idiot to be insulting. I'll not be returning, and it has nothing to do with the money - $5.75 isn't going to make or break me. So yes, FOTF offers local produce and some unique items. However, there are sufficient other local farm markets and natural foods stores in the area, operated by folks savvy enough to value their customers and appreciate their relationship with them. read more
