We were pleasantly surprised when they brought us complimentary bread with a chilled zuchinni garlic puree, think like a thick zuchinni gazpacho but it actually tastes good. Very refreshing on a warm evening. The house salad was anything but mundane, coming with mixed greens, cubed cucumber, cubed apple, cubed celery, and sliced kiwi. It was fantastic and the portion was generous. We also ordered fish tacos and these come as a pair. The breading was light and crispy, slightly oily in a good way, and served piping hot! The waiter brought out the melted cheese, in which the chorizo and bread were dipped. It was very delicious, and served as a good appetizer for the main dish. I ordered rare steak with potatoes. Check the picks for what we drank, it is was a good complement to the meal. There was live music playing, and the singer was pretty talented. The staff here was also very friendly and attentive. The food was well made, and the environment was intimate. I'm happy that this place marked my last night in Merida. Thank you for an awesome experience.
