I can't remember the yogurt sauce we got but it was to die for. So unique and delicious. This place is on the pricey side as far as eateries in Merida but you get what you pay for in this place. We only ordered uber eats once with this restaurant but next time we are in town I can't wait to go back here. They really need a better name for their restaurant in opinion. Passed this spot a few times and decided to give it a try. We walked in and the spot was lifeless with zero ambiance, service was mediocre especially considering there was only one other table seated. We ordered the falafel and hummus as starters - falafel was very dry with minimal flavor. Hummus was subpar. If you're going to falsely claim a dish as yours (laughing at the fact that they felt called to write Israeli hummus on the menu) at least do it some justice. Can't imagine what the Israeli salad would be like - also not originated from Israel. Pita was decent. Shawarma presentation wasn't the best. Excellent breakfast. A friend told us about this place so we decided to try for an early Saturday breakfast. We ate in the outside courtyard which was nice on a breezy Merida morning. I started with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Don't usually like a lot of pulp but this was good. I got the heuvos rancheros and my wife got the chilaquiles with green sauce and eggs. Mine was very good especially all the melted cheese on top. My wife said her chilaquiles was really good. The sauce had a slight sweetness to it with all the sour cream. We also ended up getting five pitas to take with us to make puta chips. I would like to come back and try their lamb which I have heard is very good. read more

If you are jones-ing for pita when your in Merida this is the place to go. We stopped by here for a to go lunch since we were staying just a block away. Pita Falafel good. Pita Shawarma - more of carne asada than shawarma. Can recommend, as a gringo, no digestion issues either. read more

The food at this place is amazing. They serve the 2nd best hummus I've ever eaten outside of Israel, the first is this amazing place in Costa Rica. Inbox me if you are ever there and need directions. Excellent food. I have eaten here twice and bith times were takeout/to-go, but both excellent. They have phenomenal lamb chops - the best I've had in Merida which come from a local farmer. The pitas (I've tried the New York and the Shawarma) are also really good for the price and include a tasty salad with a nice honey-mustard dresssing. Definitely returning after this second time today. A new favorite for sure! Good lamb chops are hard to find in Merida (I think they call them lamb ribs, "Costillas de Cordero" if I remember correctly. With the mashed potatoes side order (extra cost), it's an amazing meal. read more

Great Mediterranean food in Merida. We were a big group and they accommodated us with no problem. Food came out pretty fast too considering how big the order was. I had the falafel pita and it was DELICIOUS! Great falafel, not dry and full of flavor. Please compliment your order with the amazing cilantro garlic sauce they have. It's creamy and delightful. A friend and I had a very hearty meal at this quaint restaurant. We heard so much of it that we just had to try it. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the service and the meal although very disappointed in the wine selection. I had ordered a Tempranillo and afterwards a Malbec and both of them were not very good. The meals however, were very nice. They will give you an entree before the meal that consists of Pita bread and some dips (pesto, butter and pepper). We ordered a Mediterranean salad as a starter but it might as well have been a meal on its own. The amount of food you will get here is huge. We also got a Sambuzak, which included a basic salad of lettuce and tomato on the side, and the leg of lamb with French fries. The flavours are there and they will make you feel at home. I will consider this more of a 'fonda' style of restaurant since the presentation of the meal is not what you will find at a high end restaurant. Nevertheless the food was very good and we enjoyed every minute of it. I will gladly go back to try more new dishes from this place read more

Do not go here. I've never encountered such terrible customer service. My friend ordered a steak cooked medium and it was served to him raw and cold. We sent it back and it came back still undercooked. He never took a bite. My friend then just ordered something else, and we both assumed the steak would be taken off the check. Nope. I went to the front to ask for it to be taken off, and I was told that "he ordered it, and he had cut into it" so therefore there was no way it could be taken off the check. What the f###? Since when do customers have to pay for something they didn't eat?? The waiter then told me how he discussed it with the chef and they both agreed it was "cooked perfectly". Complete bullsh*t. Don't go here unless you want to be treated like you're stupid when you just simply don't want to ingest raw meat. No vayas aquí. Nunca en mi vida he encontrado servicio más terrible. Mi amigo pidió un filete cocido medio y se lo sirvieron crudo y frió. Se lo devolvimos al camarero para que se pudiera cocinar más, y otra vez volvió poco cocido. Nunca dio un mordisco. We really enjoy coming here for lunch. You can sit in the open air courtyard or, it it's hot sit in the air conditioned dining room and enjoy pitas stuffed with tasty falafel and shawarma served with a selections of sauces. Prices are very reasonable and service is great! read more

Our family of four (including two picky teenagers) had a wonderful lunch at Pita Mediterranean. Every dish was familiar but raised to a gourmet level. It reminded us of the best Mediterranean we had previously eaten in the USA (Zahav in Philadelphia), but more casual and 1/3 the price. Because of a slight (5-10 minute?) delay in bringing out my dish, the owner added an order of baba ganoush (which was outstanding) on the house -- the quality of the service matches the food. read more

We will definitely be coming back here again. We were so impressed with our dishes. They have an open-air area and a couple enclosed air-conditioned rooms. We didn't realize that we were in a smoking room and when we decided to move to another room, the waiters picked up and moved everything so quickly and smoothly. The service was great and the food was delicious. What more could we ask for? It's also right off the 60th street strip so we didn't have to drive anywhere from where all the action already was. read more

Excellent food, well prepared. We ate breakfast here a number of times. Stuffed pitas satisfied hearty appetites, a large bowl of yogurt with finely chopped apples and granola was yummy, good coffee served with steamed milk if you request milk. Friendly waiters and good service. We had lunch and dinner here also, and all the meals were delicious, ample quantity, and really very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. Even our vegetarian friends found something to enjoy and native Mexicano friends who came to visit us were obviously happy with their meals. Compliments on the schwarma.
