Kate is my Estatician and not only is she knowledgeable and guides me to the right treatments but she's a joy to see each month during my visits. Well the staff has once again transitioned at this spa. The owner Mari has a hard time keeping skilled aestheticians/staff. As a word of caution for those that keep any sort of balance on your account INSIST ON SIGNING AND RECEIVING A RECEIPT AFTER EVERY TRANSACTION. I asked but was always told that their system was not set up (they work off an IPAD). I later found out why as they charged over $200 worth of products to my account that I never purchased or received. Another charge was for two dermaplanes that were done in the same visit ?? How can this even be possible? Mari became very defensive when confronted on it, fired me as a client, and refused to refund me for the unauthorized charges. BEWARE and do your homework before going to this spa do not rely on those testimonies that are hand selected on their website. Since this happened I have found numerous complaints. I was a loyal client for over two years and treated so poorly in the end simply because I questioned unauthorized charges. After having been mistreated by the owner I know why all the good esthetician's don't remain there long. Unfortunate. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I should have looked at feedback! Charity (Mari's) receptionist is very very pushy. They hard sell you on everything! I stupidly bought a package and every single one of the IPL's has not worked - at all!! I have had botox before at half the volume with much better results! I get ZERO results here. I don't know if she is even injecting anything! Do not go here! I have one more treatment left on the package and I am walking away from it! From the phone call to schedule my appointment to the minute I leave I feel taken care of. Candace is absolutely amazing at what she does. I purchased a groupon for 5 microderm treatments and just had my first appointment with Elise P. She was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about all things aesthetics/ esthetician and I was very impressed. I am going to do a bit more research on the hydrafacial but she mentioned it would benefit my complexion a great deal alongside a microneedling treatment. I can't wait for my next appointment. My experience at this facility was horrible!!! I didn't even want to give it one star!! Mari is a liar and the most unethical person I have ever met. She injected me in places she shouldn't have. She injected under my eyes and now on both sides I have a horrible lumps and I look older than I did when I went in. My whole face is lumpy and disfigured. I went to talk to her about it and tell her how unhappy I am and she got mad and offended. And kept looking at her feet and the floor when I tried to tell her my concerns. She was not compassionate in the least. She was disrespectful and rude. She comes off as such a nice person. She told me my injections would be one price and after she finished it was almost $1000 more!! I paid over $5000 to this woman who clearly DOES NOT KNOW WHAT SHE IS DOING!! I'm beyond devastated at how my face looks. I want to cry every time I look in the mirror. And pictures, forget it!! I'm so embarrassed and humiliated. PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS WOMAN MARI TOUCH YOUR FACE!! Read Pug L's review. It's almost exactly what happened to me!! I wish I had read her review before I went in to Fresh Start!! Just like Pug L, when I asked for an itemized list of my treatments, she refused to give it to me. Right after my initial appointment she said to call Charity and have her email it to you. And then when I went to tell her how scared I was about what was happening to my face, she told Charity NOT to email me my receipt. When I called Charity after seeing Mari that day, Charity said that Mari told her not to email it to me and that I needed an "appointment" to see Mari to get my receipt!! I am gonna say this is a no star facility. I purchased a Groupon for one microneedling session for this clinic for a total value of $89. Then I call them up a few days later to schedule my appointment and at that time the receptionist tells me that "it will be an additional charge of $20 for the application of a skin numbing cream prior to the procedure". This is insanely ridiculous! Let's say, I am going to poke you in the face with a bunch of needles, should I consider the skin numbing as an additional / separate procedure?! So, then as though they are so genuine, the receptionist tells me " madam, we like to let all our customers know that it will be an additional charge prior to them making the appointment." Well if you guys are so worried about ur customers and so smart, why don't u just mention this on the deal that you have put on Groupon! Why wait for the customers to get trapped by the attractive deal and purchase it?! Anyway, so I pointed out why this additional charge isn't mentioned on their Groupon, she goes I don't know about that. Well, then I ask them, "Ok how about if I use this 25 dollar gift certificate that you guys are offering with the groupon, towards paying for that numbing cream application?" And the answer astonished me. "No madam, that is for future purchases only". Ok, so you are giving me a gift certificate and governing exactly what i can or cannot use it for?! Hahahahahaha! Anyway, so then I said this is not sounding right, and so the receptionist transfers the phone to their owner Mari. The owner told me the same thing that how much she cares about her customers. On top of that she tells me that everyone's pain tolerance is different and a lot of her customers prefer not to use a numbing cream. Yeah right! And so she is trying to save them an extra charge by adding it later to the Groupon they purchase. Well, then why attract customers of both kinds in the first place. Just write that numbing procedure is an extra charge so that you only attract customers who do not want the numbing cream application. And she also asked me " so u have purchased a groupon right? How many treatments?" I said one and she tells me "well, since you are a groupon customer, it is not included in the voucher cost for you, but all our regular customers have the procedure included". There, the discrimination against groupon customers. She also mentioned, their numbing cream being really special as it is made specially or whatever. I saw skin numbing creams for microneedling available online for 15-17 bucks. Why 20 bucks? Also, I do not believe an entire tube of numbing cream can be used up on one customer and in one application. So why charge $20. I wonder if she was gonna gift me the remaining cream after the treatment. Lol! And then, when I suggested to add this to the Groupon deal so that it is more transparent, she...(and really this is amazing) she PRETENDED as though she could not hear me! And began saying hello I cannot hear you, until I had to hang up!!!! I felt insulted by the owner, trapped, cheated.... But it had been 3 days past the purchase of that Groupon, so she probably knew that all sales are final and hence the rude attitude. Anyway, so I call back later to at least get my appointment, since I have made the mistake of purchasing her Groupon, I call back absolutely reluctantly, and that same receptionist puts me on hold immediately after asking my name, and then gets back to me to say that there is some meeting (god knows what meeting) going on and that they will get back to me after the meeting finishes to schedule and that they will call me on my phone number that I gave to her. And here is the thing - nobody called!!!! All day!!! So I complained to Groupon and Groupon took care of it for me. Lesson learnt, never to buy a Groupon or any product or service from this clinic! Very impressed with Fresh Start Aesthetics! Charity is a sweetheart and always very accommodating and helpful. Chloe is wonderful! She has completed a few micro-needling sessions to repair my daughter's acne scars. We are very happy with the results! I decided to treat myself to a photo-facial because I am very self-conscious of the sun damage on my face, not to mention the overall dull look of my skin. After just one photo-facial, I am AMAZED at the results. I can't wait for the next one! I truly appreciate the time and care they have given us. I am sort kinda furious! In fact....will agree with rating that Mouly B. gave on 8/5/2016....'no star facility'! I was scheduled for a microdermabrasion appointment at their 'temporary location' at 9225 N. 3rd Street in Phoenix for today...Tuesday, September 13th at 6 p.m. I got there and the medical building was closed for the day! I had, also, called during the day to confirm my appointment at their telephone number 480-739-0044 and it was a voice mail to leave your message information. No one ever called me back. So.....after I stood there in disbelief...I went home and called their other location on 'High Street' (which was 45 minutes away from my home and that is why I did not in the beginning make my appointment there) and a woman answered from another business that is with Fresh Start Aesthetics at that location and she told me that they had me down there for the appointment today and that the Fresh Start Aesthetics people left when I did not show! What kind of business is this! Why did they not call me when they decided to re-schedule me for their other location when they knew that I never wanted to go that far??? I called Goupon and they have issued me credit to use this for other services else where...and...felt so bad about what I went through on this mess that they gave me an additional credit. read more
