We had out of town company that wanted a "proper" curry.........she is from England. We took a chance on this restaurant and did they impress us! We got takeout for five adults and had dietary restrictions to consider (vegetarian and celiac). Our order was vindaloo beef, butter chicken, lamb curry, vegetable korma, channa masala and butter paneer. Some dishes came with a side order of (cumin) rice but we did order an extra side of basmati rice. We selected medium spice for all the dishes. There was LOTS of food that fed us easily and enough leftovers for FOUR full meals the next day. The order was very well priced. I did not have the lamb (don't like it) but those that did said it was very good. Everything else was excellent in my opinion. I'm glad we ordered medium spice because the vindaloo beef was almost (but not quite) too hot for our tastebuds. We will definitely be getting food from Fresh Tandoori Flavour again. read more

Today I ordered garlic naan with paneer and they told me it was paneer, but they served me chicken instead. I am a pure vegetarian and have never even touched non-veg in my life. And they brought that food all the way to my plate. I felt extremely hurt and upset.I'm very dissatisfied with them. I will never do any order at this store even this is the last restaurant in world. I recommend to not to go at this restaurant. and there was a brown girl with short height her behaviour was very bad. read more

We love the good at Fresh Tandoori Bistro in Sidney. Always delicious. Our favorites are the Lamb Korma (med), the Chicken Tikka Masaka (med) and the Eggplant (med). The lamb is always so tender you can cut it with a fork. read more

Ok so this is my new favourite place ... this food is delicious... it comes out piping hot staff are nice, good quality food the spices are perfect. I think if your coming off the ferry it is the perfect place to eat in Sidney before or after riding the boat. So happy I live near here. The only down side is it is getting crowded better have a reservation. read more

Ordered Vindaloo hot with lamb the meal spice was not hot and the lamb was tough.. My wife ordered the Byranai which came with a yogurt dressing this time no, and the lamb in this dish was really tough. This place used to be the best but seems to be sliding. I went to the Sidney location at noon for the lunch buffet. Second time there and wasn't too impressed the first time but though I'd try it again. Big mistake it's was not a good experience. The food in the heating trays was cold. Told the staff and was told to mix up the food and take from the bottom of the trays. Had done that the first trip to the buffet and it was at best lukewarm. Told The staff again that it was cold. And was told it must be the plates I was using were cold. They didn't seem to care. In fact the staff was on their phones more than serving customers. don't think I'll be back to this location. Have tried other locations and been satisfied with food quality but not at this location! Yum! And I loved the availability of the buffet during lunch. This place seems to be run by a family, and while the prices on the menu were slightly higher than what I expected to see as I entered the store, I was completely satisfied when I finished eating. Mmmm. What a great find on a rainy night. Been open about a year and I'm glad we checked it out. Delicious Malai tikka chicken and matter paneer. Naan was to our taste. Ended with kir that was cool and refreshing to end the meal. read more

Stumbled on this place by accident, rates up there with comparable places in Vancouver, BC. We tried the Tandoori variety plate (Gives 2 chicken , lamb and fish). The fish was moist and flaky. Normally we choose mild for spicy but I would kick it up a notch and do the medium for heat factor. My partner chose the Patek Chicken which had a lovely paneer cheese and spinach sauce, we had extra rice to sop up the goodness of the sauce. We also ordered the garlic and basil naan, nice and crispy. We stay at Pat Bay as an escape from busy Vancouver and we will visit this little gem again! read more

Took over an hour to get basic Indian dishes. Not worth the wait. Lacked seasoning and small portions for the price. The flavour was not authentic - very much like food court taste. Customers came in after but were provided food before us. So many options in this town so advice to try across the street or next door. read more
