The project manager Brandon Mazzacco, was consistently unprofessional, failed to communicate clearly, and generally did not appear to know what he was doing. He provided an inaccurate timeline at the outset and failed to consult with the work crews responsible for carrying out the job to ensure it was feasible. As a result, the timeline was extended at the very last minute--not once, but three separate times--which left our family displaced from our home for three times longer than we were originally told. The quality of the work performed was equally unacceptable. Much of the work was done poorly, and in several instances, it was completely incorrect. We repeatedly raised these concerns with the project manager, who failed to address them adequately. As a result, areas of our home were damaged--damage that could have and should have been avoided had the work been done with care, competence, respect and proper oversight. What is most disturbing, however, is the growing belief my wife and I share that this mistreatment and negligence were not just about incompetence, but deliberate. As a mixed-race gay couple, we could not help but notice the dismissive tone, condescension, and blatant lack of respect we received throughout the process. We cannot ignore the pattern of disregard and the persistent failure to correct mistakes that, in our view, went beyond negligence and bordered on discriminatory behavior. We expected a professional experience. What we received instead was disrespect, broken promises, poor workmanship, damage to our home, and a lingering sense that we were never treated as equal or worthy clients. No family should have to experience this--especially in their own home.

The first company I hired quoted a cheaper price, said it would take 3 weeks and "finished" 1.5 rooms in 2 days which we had to repaint ourselves. Needless to say that company did not remain on the job. We personally finished 2 additional rooms, leaving 7 rooms to be painted (this included a huge great room with a vaulted ceiling and tons of mud work). It was too much for my husband and I to do. I found Expert on Google. I called and spoke with Leslie, who by the way was great and on the ball. She set us up with Brett for a quote. He gave us a fair price and said they would have the job done in 5 days. We were skeptical because of promises made by the first company's owner, but gave Expert a try. Expert lived up to their name. They finished the job in 3.5 days to include incidental touch ups I requested throughout the process. Every employee I encountered was truly top notch. Thank you to the team for the great work.

There was caulk left on the side of our washing machine and paint splattered on the laundry room wall and down a NEW WHITE CABINET, from washing out brushes or something. The gentleman that they sent to do the final clean up left a big glob of caulk in my rug from sealing the trim that was missed near the back door (which means he did not lay down anything underneath him). When prepping the sliding patio door, they somehow took the sensor for my alarm off the frame of the door and left with it (we received the sensor a couple of days later but there was no magnet to attach it back and it took three weeks before we could get it repaired from the security company). They bent the frame to the blinds for the sliding door and lost the pieces that hold the finish. We found 4 tiny screws in our carpet, that apparently go to something, we just haven't figured out what yet. My Yorky was chewing on them that's how we discovered it. But the straw that broke the camels back was on day two when we woke up to hearing someone downstairs in our house. It turned out to be two of the painters. They walked in without knocking or ringing the doorbell. Apparently the deadbolt on the door wasn't fully locked because it was covered with tape. They typically work from 9am to 4pm, and usually there's 2 to 3 company cars at the house., but this morning they were these two guys were the only painters for a Couple of hours. According to my camera, It looked like the one painter was going to knock at the door then changed his mind, grabbed the door handle, twisted it and walked in. My cameras have audio, so that verified that he did not knock. Had we not looked over the banister, seeing that it was them, it could've been all bad. I think this upsetted us more than anything. Although we had this company paint Several areas of our home, there are a few other rooms we still need Painted but I'm sorry to say we would not be calling them back out.

One girl showed up and worked for a while an hour later the second worker showed up. They must have left right after I did because I had to totally clean the house after they left. They didn't move items, they wiped around them. The floors had spots of dirt and the sink didn't look like like the touched it. Be careful about hiring this company they were not what they claimed to be.

Myself, being a combat veteran decided to hire the veteran owned company. The job was complicated thus I had no problem paying extra. America's Pros, INC quoted me to acid wash, power wash, stain / seal my extremely large patio (2000 sq ft ish). I had talked to the company on May 1st and wished a deadline of June 1st to have the patio complete for my daughter's birthday, the company complied with my wishes. The company stated they would be out on May 11th to take down payment and begin power washing. After power washing on May 11th I expected a day of drying and them to be back on the 12th or 13th. Needless to say I made multiple phone calls and finally received a call back on May 16th stating they would be out to do the job on May 18th (Whew! Hope was in sight, or so I thought). May 18th comes around.. 9AM... 10AM... 12PM... 3PM... no one comes to the house. I make a phone call to the company's main line, then personal line, no answer. I figured maybe something went wrong, family emergency, etc. I made a phone call on the 19th, and 20th with no answer. I didn't receive a phone call until May 23rd. The company stated his employees would be there at 12:30PM to do the job. Keep in mind during this time frame my sprinklers were off, and I couldn't cut the lawn. They arrive, start on the job, and do it a wrong color that was not agreed on. I stop them and tell them it was supposed to give the patio a dark stone look not a white stone... The employees left and said they would be back later to finish the job. They didn't show up the rest of the day, or the 24th, or the 25th. I finally received a phone call the evening of the 25th stating they would be out the 26th to do a sample on the patio to make sure we liked it. At 11AM they arrive and call me leaving a voicemail stating it's raining and they will come back the 27th. May 27th, no show. 28th, no show. My wife became very concerned with the professionalism of this company... as did I. May 29th, the company arrives in the evening un-announced and doesn't power wash the patio, does a partial stain / seal over bird droppings and dirt. My wife and I agreed on the color and wished it to be done ASAP. The company owner came by May 30th, alone, to do the job. Begun the job at 8:30AM and stated he was completed at 11AM. When I went outside and looked at the "complete job" I was so baffled that this company was labeled "professional." There was stain on the house vinyl, roller marks on the vinyl, missed all around the patio, spotty, covered bird droppings / dirt in stain / sealer. This job was a complete disaster. The only thing the owner said was... you guys are never happy. I'm doing my best. After careful thought and consideration my wife and I thought it was best to request a full refund of our down payment, along with damages for the house, and to get the patio acid washed so we can start fresh with a different company. I have not received a call back. See you in small claims. Do not use this company.
