The amazing diversity of programming and depth of this station can catch almost anyone's ear. What is refreshing, is all the people playing the music are volunteers, who do not have to follow a corporate format. You will not hear a loop of the same songs day after day. Each 1-4 hour show has their own genre theme, but beyond that can play anything within their theme. I am always surprised by something new every time I listen. The one issue that is troubling is that their federal funds have been cut by 200k recently. Since it is a non-profit station, they rely heavily on listeners to help support the station, and especially during their funds drive this month. I really hope it can continue over the years. Check their website for programming and take a listen. It's one of those rare gems on the airways.

The conversation was almost impossible to salvage because of the gain issue. Also, there were constant interjections of "macbook sounds" throughout the file that was sent to us, such as popping, swooshing, and various other noises that come from deleting files. I hate to write this review as they were very easy to work with in regards to ironing out the logistics of the date and time. Unfortunately, we trusted them with our podcast, and it was ruined by Calvin the engineer. Absolutely infuriating.

But I played my high-school favorites too much in high school and need to listen to them selectively now. I don't want to hear the Pretenders or The Cars every time I turn on the radio. Also, they ruined my Friday nights by pushing Delphine Blue to Saturdays (and disrespected the legacy of Rita Houston in eliminating "The Whole Wide World"). Fridays used to be heaven - for so many years! I suppose all good things must come to an end.
