Thank you. Best place for horses, riding and space. Absolutely the best facility in Humboldt County.

The shelters are old, yes, but they are certainly not in danger of collapse. The fences are working fine; it's been a long while since they weren't. As for the owners forgetting to feed, that happened four years ago. If it's true they missed noticing horses with colic, that also is ancient history. As for animal control being called, that happened one time with a horse that was thin because it was very old and had bad teeth. The real problem at the stable is disgruntled boarders who wouldn't be satisfied with any situation.

TERRIBLE PLACE TO BOARD!!! I used to board my horse here. It's truly one of the worst boarding…read morestables I've ever seen. The facilities are crumbling and downright dangerous. The fences (hotwire) don't work most of the time, so horses get out routinely. The owners are NOT horse people -- they had no prior experience with horses prior to buying the stable a few years ago. In fact, they've missed noticing obviously colicing horses in the past! DO NOT trust the owners to feed your horse, either -- they've failed to feed horses in the past that they were paid to feed. Animal control has been called out before because of horses in extremely poor condition, which the owners had been trying to sweep under the rug. And the "arena"... The sand footing is way too deep. The owners were even told by the vet's office that the footing is dangerous and could cause tendon/ligament injuries to horses, but the owners haven't fixed it (or really anything else that's needed repairs). Run away from this place, far far away.

It is not easy to get across just how wonderful Marble Mountain Ranch is. We were anxious about how…read morethe week would go for our family of 4 with two teenagers, but this dissipated within seconds of arrival. There is a depth and breadth of expertise and care in how it is run that makes this a very special experience. The horses are loved, well-trained and contented, the staff are all adorable, the food glorious. We were fully occupied from morning until night, coasting from one unforgettable and enriching experience to the next. The ranch itself is stunning, and set in a spectacular landscape. Each activity was of the highest quality and it felt enormously luxurious to be in such capable hands throughout. It was a stretch for us financially but absolutely some of the best money we have ever spent

All the activities are scheduled so carefully that I was able to participate in everything I wanted to do. Their horses are very well cared for, well behaved and trained. No swaybacked trail nags here! The up to date whitewater rafts and staff were all very knowledgeable and safety oriented. We had some GREAT rapids rides!! The shooting involved expert SAFE instruction and a revolving set of varied experiences with different weapons. The children in attendance had the time of their lives as did this 74 year old horsewoman! The ranch is self sufficient ( off the grid) and well off the beaten path. A real community developed amongst the guests under the guidance and warm personalities of Heidi and Doug. The 30 plus years of love and devotion to the upkeep of the natural beauty of their ranch showed in the gardens and plantings of flowers and trees in abundance. Even the gaggle of teenaged sisters spent less time in the lodge (the only WiFi) than one would have imagined! A fun and deeply relaxing time in nature was had by all. I will definitely be back again! Happy Trails!
