I just day tripped here, but it would definitely be worth staying for multiple days. Many chocolate shops of course, and even lots of cool vintage stores! Food, shopping, and views. Sometimes it can be difficult to find a nice bench to rest your weary feet after a long walk. This park fits the bill. Love the fountain, very relaxing. This is Graffiti Street and it changes constantly one day to the next…read more Belgium had a bit of a graffiti problem until they gave the artists this street as their canvas to use however they wanted, so often new murals and art pop up overnight. For last Halloween they painted it grey and asked the artists keep it to a scary Halloween theme, but we were told the color and other art came back within a few weeks. There's an amazing chocolate shop here called The Chocolate Maker, so the street was part of our Chocolate Tour by Charlie Tours, but we came back for more chocolate a couple days later, only to be surprised it had changed so much in such little time. It's a must-see in Ghent and definitely worth a walk through.

Some of the art looks amazing. Other pieces have been graffitied over, which was kind of a bummer. I'd see this if you're nearby but would not go out of my way to see this.
