I had to hire someone to test the control board that Rob installed and it was faulty, dusty, broken and not new like he said it was. I have video and images to prove this. About six months ago, I had someone else do a repair, without addressing the root cause of why my dryer kept breaking. A faulty roller was slicing the belt, so Chris recommended a cost-effective replacement, and installed it all in under 20 minutes . While he was working on my dryer, he also replaced two screws that were missing, and addressed a balance issue, so it wouldn't be as noisy. I bought my dryer used, and it has never been quieter, or functioned better. I would highly recommend Chris for ANY appliance repair.

The serviceman arrived promptly with a call ahead of time letting me know that he was on his way, which I appreciated. Bad news: For $73 (service call plus tax), the repairman got my washer brand, model and serial number, and a description of the issue - info I could have given by phone. No diagnostics, no reproducing the issue, no washer inspection. I even had the machine pulled away from the wall. For 3/4 of a $100 he got info I could've told them for free. I told him I cleaned the screens and he said there was a possibility that I damaged the screens. Without looking at them,or anything, he wrote the estimate to replace a part (the price of the part was $99). The total, including service call, just over $300. I told him for another $100 I could buy a new washer, and I did. The irony? The new washer did the same thing as the old one. Turns out my water pressure is low and the water filter needs replaced. The repairman's best guess would've been a fail and I would've been out $300. I realize this unfortunately sometimes happens and when a repairman's been doing their job for years they often guess correctly but, from a customer's viewpoint, we expect an inspection and diagnostic measures taken to pinpoint the problem before committing to a costly repair.

The other company would blow in and say this was the problem and blow out to order parts and see you next week to install them -- John spent more time on our problem than the other company did in 5 visits. After testing my plug, computer, and motor, Derrick came to the conclusion that my dryer was fine. He suggested that it was my outlet. (He is not an electrician, so he could not repair or diagnose my outlet.) To not totally waste my service call, I asked if I could get a vent clean out. Derrick went out to his truck and grabbed his equipment and quickly cleared my vent line. Note that I had an Electrician come out the following day. He discovered in fact wires were not properly tightened inside my outlet...and replaced the outlet. Now my dryer works great. I highly recommend DP Appliance, as Derrick knows what he is doing and is an extremely fair and reputable business owner.
