Combo fried rice with a side of bug, it's going to be a no for me
    Briana Y.

My husband and I liked this place, cheap fried rice with a decent flavor. Unfortunately tonight, my combo fried rice came with an unwanted addition--a bug. It's going to be no from us moving forward.

I have had some great luck with this place for awhile. Makes me wonder now Great people great service but Unfortunately TODAY I had an experience that will keep me out of those doors im sure for awhile. 3/4 of the way gone and this was on my spoon. I hope things get better.

Ordered: Shrimp Fried Rice comes 2 eggs rolls & a soda The food is good, more rice than shrimp. The texture and taste is more of a seasoned rice or vegetables rice mix. Cash only and be prepared to order. Service was quick.

The food here is very affordable but I could not get past the cleanliness of the restaurant. I tasted my rice and egg roll and it was very flavorful, but I didn't eat much more after 2 bites. If you are looking for a very aafordabke dive restaurant, you may like this restaurant. They do not except credit cards, so be sure to bring cash.

Awesome hole in the wall joint! The owner is such a sweet and humble guy. Very simple menu for fried rice! You can choose from: chicken, pork shrimp or combination. I really enjoy the egg rolls. Nice crunch and tasty filling. Don't be deceived by the small (16 Oz) container. He really packs the rice in them so it is a lot! Beware! Yelp has the wrong business hours. He closes at 9pm, not 1am. We stopped by at 11pm, he was still there and fed us

Cheapest fried rice with meat around. You can get a carton of fried rice with choice of meat, 2 egg rolls, and a drink for all under $5. The fried rice itself it very basic. Plain fried rice, a small amount of egg bits, and your choice of chicken, pork, shrimp, or all three. Egg rolls are great. Crab Rangoon is a tad off from most. They are mostly just cream cheese and it picks up too much of the grease flavor. They have bottle water or a can of soda that comes with the combo. The cartons of rice can sometime not get as much meat so it's a hot and miss depending on when it was scooped. Nothing gourmet, but fro the price it is a great deal for a cheap and quick meal. They also only take cash.

The best price, fast service, generous portions, piping hot, delicious Take out. Love the crunchy eggrolls, and all of the sauces. I come here once a week and the whole family is happy!

The fried rice is average at best. It doesn't take anyone special to make fried rice. The chicken was gross and the lady working acted annoyed that I wanted to order crab Rangoon instead of an egg roll. Then when I asked for red sauce for the crab rangoons I get home to discover that she put the wrong stuff in. I suggest you goto Dillon's and get fried rice. It will taste about the same and you will at least get the order right. I promise our family will not be back.

Located behind To Chau in a strip mall I didn't realize existed, Fried Rice presented me with the shortest interaction I've ever had as a customer: Me: "I'll have the pork fried rice combo." *Lady takes carton of rice and eggrolls out of a cooler* Lady: "Four dollars." *I give her the cash and leave* So it wasn't exactly prepared to order, but the tongue-burning temperature of both the rice and eggrolls didn't bring into question any questions of freshness. And while the eggrolls were large and crispy, and the fried rice ample in pork, everything was quite greasy. Probably not so bad when it come to fried rice, and when you're paying four dollars for this large quantity of food, you're obviously not expecting anything unique or creative. Much like this review.

A virtual hole in the wall! Is it a deal? Yes, if you want generic soda and sketchy meat. Only go if you want cheap food.

The service was a bit slow and looked like they could use more help in the restaurant with host up front and serving. The food was a bit bland.. which isn't a bad thing because if we needed to sauce it up, we could to our own palette with soy sauce. I was expecting the fried rice and chow fun to have two different flavors, but it was very similar flavoring. Felt like I was eating the same thing, just different textures. Fried chicken wings was okay, a bit more batter than what I'm used to. The ambiance on the inside was a nice sit down style.

Let me start by saying - we were super pleasantly surprised to find a Szechuan place in Kansas. Secondly, the spice wasn't too spicy, so it's more manageable. And lastly, for 10 people, we shared 10 dishes, and it came to only $150.... plus tip, we were still less than $20 a person! That's amazing... that's probably only 5 dishes in NJ/NY, at most. Favs: - Stir fried cabbage, a little spicy but solid. - Veggie lo mein was a hit with the kids, didn't even get to try it. - Egg fried rice was solid, good flavor, enough soy - Hot & spicy fish fillet in chili oil was excellent, not too spicy - Beef in hot sour broth - probably my favorite with the sour pickled veggies - Braised eggplant w/ garlic & chili was solid Just ok: - Braised pork was fatty, and the sauce wasn't as savory as I wanted - Sizzling beef - a little too long on the sizzling plate made it hard by the time I tried it, so probably need to revisit when the dish first comes out and the kids don't delay it - Spicy pig's blood w/ tripe & veggies was ok; I've had better versions but this included a good mix of the offal and veggies. - Potato w/ vinegar flavor - I get the feeling they probably didn't hear that we wanted the one that was spicy; this lacked that peppery ma-la kick. They ran out of the sauteed water spinach, but that's ok... we were full up! Definitely a delicious surprise and good spot to grab food. That being said, service was very slow, so make sure you're aware of that before you go in at a busy time... temper your expectations on speed of service.

First, there is very limited parking, I get take out, but I prefer to go in and see the restaurant. If you take a parking spot, then you upset one of the delivery drivers who felt they should have the priority parking over a paying customer. Then I get inside and the order I did online, didn't come through, so they spend 10 minutes looking for it rather than just taking the order and starting the dish. I have been in twice, the first time wasn't so bad, it was when they first opened. The second time, they were still evidently serving the same food from the first time as it had an old taste and the sweet-and-sour pork was fried in very old, rancid oil. The air conditioning was evidently out and it was not only hot in the building, but they had the doors open so there were flies swarming all over you, the food and grease laden tables. My advice, there are better places.

I've read a few reviews on here that complain about the food. The fact is that EVERY buffet diner will have some food that sat out a little too long from time to time. You will never avoid that. The good news here is that this staff is very attentive to the food lines and in the 30 plus times we've dined there, it is RARE that the food is cold, or "unappealing" (according to one reviewer). We have always found the food to be warm-hot, tasty and of good quality. There is a nice variety and for me, I specifically love the coconut shrimp and Onion Shrimp. Everyone won't like every food they present - I, for one, don't like the Japanese style chicken they serve - but that is an individual taste and doesn't mean the food is "bad". Dessert line is limited but sufficient - and unlike other buffet's we've frequented, the ice cream machine has never run out. Another nice benefit of this buffet is their takeout. You can come in and, for a fixed price, fill a takeout container with as much as you can grab. They will have a bag, utensils and fortune cookie waiting for you when you are finished. The staff is usually very attentive and efficient. Yes, one or two people that work there aren't "talkative", and some language difficulties can appear to be "anger", or "rudeness", but the fact is they do their job. They will ask children their ages - because they have an age cutoff for their pricing - and unfortunately many adults will lie to get the cheaper price. The children are most always honest. It's not "badgering" like one person reviewed - it's their right. Now - why I reviewed as a 4 and not a 5? The location is in an awkward place. It is one block over from the "red brick" main street and near the southwestern outskirts of the town. This is mainly an industrial area, and the roads around the restaurant are less than ideal. The building is older, and their popularity has out-grown their space so many times it gets crowded there, and parking becomes limited (although there is a parking lot area across the street from them). This is actually great for the food turnover, keeping it fresh and hot. It would benefit them to look into moving to a larger facility within the main area of the town (maybe buy out the Hidalgo's building?). The ambiance is nice, and there are TV screens usually showing some sports event. Overall, you are missing out on a hidden Chinese buffet gem if you don't visit this place. We've lived in many different states, and King Buffet resides in the top 3 or 4 of our buffet lists.

We came across Asian One, and have been pleased. Some of the dishes are not totally authentic, the Kung-Pau Chicken isn't quite as spicy as some are, and is served more with a brown sauce than a spicy sauce, but for the affordable price it is still very satisfying. Alone I don't care for the fried rice, and will opt for steamed white rice instead, but if you stir it together with the main dish, it is very flavorful, otherwise it is a little dry and lacks taste of it's own. Moo-Goo Gai-pan misses the mark, and again chicken and vegetables served with a brown sauce, traditional is more of a clear thickened sauce and not a lot of crunch. I do love the crab ragoons. and egg rolls, I almost feel the egg rolls are frozen and not fresh, but its a side anyway, Don't care. We keep going back, as it satisfies the craving and there is usually enough left over from a meal for lunch the next day.
