This was my first experience eating/ordering from this restaurant, I placed this order via DoorDash. I was very pleased with my order. I ordered Orange Chicken, Combination Egg Foo Young, Szechuan Shrimp, Egg Rolls, and Pork Fried Rice. All dishes tasted amazing and the food arrived fresh and hot. The Egg Foo Young was very different from any other Chinese restaurant, but it had good flavor and a unique flair. Had supper there yesterday. The food at best was mediocre, the best I can stay it was hot and fresh But imo I've had way better Chinese food. They must be doing something right there is a big carry out business. Dine in there are three tables seats 10 people. This is a carry out place basically. Order at "counter" The owner brings it out. I had General Tso chicken Had maybe 2 ozs of chicken LOTS of celery a scant amount of zucchini, green pepper, water chestnuts and some peanuts. I was underwhelmed. Service was minimal outside of bringing out your food in styrofoam boxes. I judge a Chinese restaurant on their Hot Sour soup this was blah. Boring little flavor. My least favorite Chinese restaurant in Wichita. I can find better places to spend my money. Would not return nor recommend. Two others ate with me and their opinion was the same They will not return nor recommend. Ordered dinner while staying nearby. Ordered Mu Shu pork, wonton soup, orange chicken, and pan fried noodles. All were terrible! Mu Shu pork was incredibly salty, wonton soup was nothing but very strong beef broth and tough wontons, orange chicken was dark meat and very stringy/tough, and pan fried noodles were just lo mein. My oldest daughter and I ordered food from here because our usual place we get Chinese food from is closed on Wednesdays. This will be our new go to place! I don't care that it's across town! I got the orange beef with shrimp fried rice...so so good! There were a few veggies and orange peels but packed FULL of beef! The shrimp friend rice has a lot of shrimp like way more than I have ever seen in shrimp friend rice and they aren't small either! And my daughter's sweet and sour chicken was amazing as well! Until they did their stringent order through the door/window for Covid we loved this place and have still tolerated this even after Covid ended. Ordered this evening online through beyondmenu, their google online ordering system, for $53 dollars worth of food well before their closing time. Sent my daughter to pick up the food with a 30 minute drive each way. Upon arrival the restaurant was empty with only one order withstanding. Good Fortune indicated they had not received the order after receiving a confirmation that the order was accepted and my card was charged. According to beyondmenu Good Fortune accepted the order and then cancelled the order 10 minutes later claiming they could not fulfill the order. Good Fortune indicated they where still willing to do the order if she re-placed the order and paid for it on site. Pretty SHADY to me!!! BEWARE when ordering online. Not sure who to fault on this, beyondmenu with good or Good Fortune but will never use either again as it appears I am out $53!!! read more

The service is alway fast and friendly each time I come in. The location is easy to access with the family video right next door. You can walk down and get a movie while you wait for your food. I can't think of a time that I stuck around to eat my food here. Most the time I get it to go. Every once in a while the staff will be sitting in the dining area eat dinner and eh food always looks amazing. You can place an order by phone and pick it up. Convenient Chinese. Went in to grab an order of Chicken Fried Rice. Sat waiting for the to-go order. Saw the chef/cook walk into the bathroom, he spent 20 seconds peeing then came out without turning on the sink. Then as he walked across the restaurant he was rubbing his nose. This little place in a nondescript strip mall is amazing. They do a tremendous carry out business but they do have a handful of tables if you want to eat in. I should probably mention right off that I am only mildly interested in eating Chinese food, if the old man didn't like it so much I probably wouldn't eat it at all. That being said, using yelp we went in search of something different from the usual places and found the good fortune. Their rating was pretty good compared to others and so we have it a try. The place is small and has no menu board hanging on the wall like you might expect. There also seems to be no one paying to close attention to the cleanliness of the place as there was a thick layer of dust clinging to the lamps over the tables and apparently only one bottle of hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce for everyone who comes in to use. The place is quiet as a tomb, that is when the guy working the front isn't on the phone talking loudly to someone he isn't pleased with, at least I think. The food, comes out hot, really really hot. I got the sweet and sour chicken which is one of about three things I like and found them to be bland( though the old man says it's supposed to be if you understand that line of reasoning). The fried rice was edible after putting some soy sauce on it. I think the only real highlight was the egg rolls, which were pretty good. We called in our order and it was ready when we picked it up 15 minutes later. I had the sweet and sour chicken combo and my husband had the general tso's chicken combo. The portions were quite large and our total bill was only around 14 bucks! The food was very fresh tasting and not very greasy. The combos come with an egg roll and a crab Rangoon as well.
