If you're looking for a signed book or rare collectible and are in the area, this one is absolutely worth a stop. They have their own parking lot and the second floor is easily accessible with ramp for anyone who has a difficult time climbing stairs. We'll absolutely go back here. Both were playing on their phones and didn't bother to even look up as another customer attempted to make conversation and compliment the decor. As another reviewer wrote, they seemed judgmental of those of us coming from Charlotte to visit as part of the Charlotte Book Crawl. This is a great opportunity for indie bookstores to attract a large number of new clientele.

Besides a focus on mystery and thrillers, they really had most genres covered. Most of the books here ... and they claim tens of thousands of books ... are used, and are generally on consignment from somebody. So quality varies, and you might find two copies of something in very different conditions and at matching price points. That being said, the selection was exceptional and well worth investigating. The Book Rack had an especially large selection of kids books ... which was great for us. The only downside of some of these large holdings is that they aren't all classified and organized. Sometimes a certain genre will just be stacked in crates or boxes ... but don't let that dissuade you. There are treasures to be found here. If you like books and enjoy the hunt, this place is for you. Recommended.

It also has other small items such as book markers, and other small crafts created by local artists. The store offers a trade credit program that participants can earn up to 50% off all used books in the store as well as an extra 15% off any new titles, including special orders. I had never been to this book store until the sale. It's small, but there's such a good selection of used books. The used books are also in really good shape. The team member on site the day we went was GREAT! He took the time to assist us in looking for books on our lists and giving us recommendations for other books to read. I also like the idea that you can bring the books back that you purchase, for a percentage off on your next book. Check them out, explore the selection they have, and support local!

The process was super easy. I went partly in hopes of finding a used copy of a novel my Book Club has been wanting to read, but isn't at the library. I was shocked/overjoyed to find TWO copies, both of which I purchased on the spot. Great value for sure. Can't wait to go back & browse their selection more fully when I have more time. What stood out the most was that unlike a shop we visited yesterday (I won't name it, but it's in Hickory), my son wasn't followed around by the owner/staff like he was up to no good (my son is 2 months shy of 7 at the time of this, and he kept his hands in his pockets most of the time, so I'm not sure why that person felt the need to make me uncomfortable by following my kid and getting wide-eyed every time he pointed to something or touched anything). We felt very welcome at Got Books, and I look forward to going back! Also, the coffee is great!
