With almost 5 months of dropping off documents, phone calls, dozens of emails and multiple certified letters from the IRS, Hannan and associated did nothing to rectify my audit. Between not being able to "open" my corrupt files, going out of town multiple times, needing a commitment letter, wanting other tax documents that did not apply to that year, wanting us to sign "power of attorney" forms, not taking our phone calls and telling us that her schedule was to booked and couldn't see us for days, shows nothing but complete disrespect for us and the Internal Revenue Service. After almost 5 months of Hannan and associates complete disregard for the IRS audit, we reached out to another CPA firm in our town. Within 24 hours a letter had been written, documents put together, the amount due to the IRS was adjusted, forms signed and in the mail it went. We finally received a certified letter from Ms. Hannan, after the fact, stating there was miscommunication between my ex-husband, her and myself, which was passing information "to and fro" and hoped this matter would go no further. This has been my personal experience with Hannan and Associates and everything I stated above I have documented.

I wound up filing an extension for myself. Further, only today, at the last minute, does he send me the return he prepared with several errors, such as a wrong address, an address no prior accountant has ever used for the return. He keeps making excuses for all his errors and even tries blaming a prior accountant for his incompetence, such as the necessity of including a balance sheet. A balance sheet is not required by the IRS. He pays no attention to details and only skims the information you send him. It got to the point where I had to terminate him, and I will need to hire a different (competent) accountant to do the returns. Avoid like the plague. Reply: With the number of errors you made, you have no basis to charge for anything. First, many statements you made are factually incorrect. The LLC does not and has never had over 250k in assets. As noted, with over 40 years of tax returns filed, not one prior accountant ever used an incorrect address, not one, only you. Second, it was clear you constantly made errors, never reviewed the entire information, as I had to keep sending you emails to correct and supplement the information you entered. It was very apparent I would never use your services again or recommend you, and you saw that coming and cut bait. It is clear you have had this problem with previous clients, and it is not new to you. Just look at the 2018 review.
