Bathroom was back up those 5 steps. I thought it was cute and fun but difficult if you have trouble with stairs. Owners were nice and helpful. Breakfast was beyond amazing! All local and fresh. The husband and wife are awesome. Truly. BUT bro. Nah. So our room was the Kachemak room. And sure the view was great but literally 2 feet from the window was the damn entrance to the establishment INCLUDING the porch where people sit and drink. It was impossible to want to window open to enjoy the view as it was almost like Abigaile & I were in a zoo being viewed in through our window. No privacy at ALL and they failed to mention it. Also this building you can hear EVERYTHING. Literally. If someone coughed upstairs that will echo and wake you up. People walking around. Inconsiderate guests who stay up talking until 12 at night. No thank you man. It was to the point we left Homer a day early because truly it was a pretty bad experience. Sadly. The host are great. But the place is not what we wanted.

The same family still owns and operates the lodge and provides an incredible level of service, passion, and local knowledge.
