If there is ever a problem between kids, (or usually between kids and the walls, floors, etc) they have let me know the day of the occurrence. Throughout the pandemic, they have been very diligent in following safety protocols at the center, and I have felt very safe in my kids remaining enrolled. There are diverse teachers that have taught the kids about the countries they are from and, that has been exciting for me to hear about as well. I know my kids love it, because they give hugs to all of their teachers and classmates when they are leaving. I cannot recommend First Steps enough!!!

I was apprehensive when she started her summer program that she wouldn't be able to continue through the entire summer. Not only has the staff helped her through these issues. They've made her feel welcomed and cared for deeply. I myself had health issues this summer and knowing that my daughter is not only safe but she's loved is priceless. This is a fantastic center and I would give 100 stars if I could.

So I recently tried enrolling my daughter in The Learning grove academy and she was approved…read morethrough CCA as well on 12/02/24, I contacted them and let them know she'd been approved. Everything was going fine until the director or whatever she is contacted me saying my daughter couldn't start until after her physical on 12/18/24. So I then asked her if she'd accept the physical that is under a year old and I never heard anything back from her until I sent an email stating how unprofessional it is for her not to respond to me. Without even reaching out to me the director sends me a text and an email stating that they're sorry my child won't be attending the school!!! I don't know if it was racially motivated or just a plain lack of empathy either way it's heartbreaking My family and I are new to the area and needed a little bit more clarification and help! I've never been told my children couldn't start school because of a physical especially when i sent proof that they had an appointment in place. Every school has this in place and I know every center or school is different but denying a start date because of a physical and she has an appointment in 7 days and a physical not even a year old is absurd and it shows that In the future, if a problem persists they will NOT work with you or make any special accommodations. I called 7 other daycares and ALL of them were willing to work with me. I'm glad i got a chance to see their true colors and also see that this center responds with their feelings instead of professionalism and I'd hate for my daughter to attend the school and they end up mistreating her because parents like me ask questions or need a little extra help. I guess if you get CCA, a different race, or not paying out of pocket you get treated differently!!

I've brought in all kinds of things over the years -- scrubs, dresses, shirts, pants -- and they always do a great job. They're very knowledgeable about different fabrics (whether it's thick, stretchy, delicate, etc.), so pricing can vary depending on what you bring in. But they're always upfront and explain everything clearly, which I really appreciate. Turnaround time is fast and they're very punctual, but if you're in a real rush, they do offer a fair upcharge for expedited service. Still, I'd definitely recommend giving them at least a week or two, especially if you've got a dance or special event coming up. They'll let you know right away what's realistic and always follow through. Just a heads up -- it's cash or check only, but totally worth the extra step. Couldn't recommend them more!

Jeremey came by, picked them up and let us know when he left. He accepts several different forms of payment; we happened to use Venmo. I'd say our job was on the easier side, but it appears they handle and haul all kinds of junky situations. Highly recommend. Would use them again in a heartbeat.
