We enjoy keeping it in the family so to speak! We looked all over the place for a day care suitable of little man - and one fairly close to our house. L-A-L as it is affectionately termed at our abode fit both criteria. The ladies here are fantastic and take great care of the kiddos. The under 1 children have their own place with a high provider to kid ratio. The play ground outside is great for the older kids and the little guys go on walks (wagon rides) when the weather's nice. The rates are better than most places in the area and because they have the little ones in a separate area until they're 1, it's easy to predict when spots open. Well worth checking out if you're looking for a daycare for your little sprout. Great people who do a wonderful job looking after your little one.

If there is ever a problem between kids, (or usually between kids and the walls, floors, etc) they have let me know the day of the occurrence. Throughout the pandemic, they have been very diligent in following safety protocols at the center, and I have felt very safe in my kids remaining enrolled. There are diverse teachers that have taught the kids about the countries they are from and, that has been exciting for me to hear about as well. I know my kids love it, because they give hugs to all of their teachers and classmates when they are leaving. I cannot recommend First Steps enough!!!

I really love Kids Depot for our daughter. Every kid is different, but it's definitely the right…read moreplace for her. They have enough structure and repetition that the kids know what to expect but also enough play time and different activities that they can work on social skills and do fun things like take the bus downtown to the library (don't worry - not until they're 3) and go for walks around the neighborhood and to the park by Horace Mann to play - either in the buggy or walking, depending on the kids. They don't have much turnover; in fact, in the almost 2 years we've been there, only one floater has left and that was because she went to work in her field of education. My favorite part is the teachers get excited every time the kids arrive - every day. This makes them feel so special and that people are happy they are there. The teachers also do a great job, in my opinion, of supervising but letting the kids do things their way. The other thing I like is that the teachers each have one day off per week so the same teacher is there when I drop her off and pick her up so I know how she did throughout the day. I've also called mid-morning to see how our daughter was doing and they are so happy to have parents call and check up - they always encourage us to call if we want. I'm worried sometimes because of the morning we've had or something like that - but our daughter is usually doing just fine. I did get a call one day saying she just wasn't herself so I went and got her and it turned out she just needed a break at home with mom. I really appreciated it though because I didn't have to wait until the end of the day to know she had a rough time and it was too late for me to do anything. I knew one of the teachers before we took our daughter there but it's the only place we looked at. When I went for the tour, it just felt right for us. We started when our daughter was about 20 months and she's now 3 1/2 and we love it more all of the time!
