I booked this company for a destination wedding in Ireland. As a foreigner, I was unfamiliar with…read morethe marriage laws and found all the different types of ceremony requirements and specifications a bit on the confusing side. After looking at the website, I thought they were legally able to wed us. I contacted them verify the legality of the ceremony and to set up an appointment. They sent me a confusing response and asked me to wait a month in a half to meet after the new year. So, I waited. When we finally met, I made sure to clarify with the celebrant, prior to giving them my credit card info that they were able to legally wed us. They told us, 'Oh absolutely. You just need to get a signature from the registrar the next day.' Sounds great....here's my credit card. However, after turning in my intent to marry to the registrar, she informed me our celebrant is NOT a legal officiant. I went back to their webpage and found the question/answers section and found were they blatantly say the ceremony is not legal. I immediately contacted them about this and asked about a refund on Feb 17th. Initially they flat out refused to grant us a refund saying their webpage clearly states they are celebrants not solemnisers. (Again, foreigner here...I'm not familiar with the legal discrepancies...and I made it clear that I was unsure of things in our meeting.) They even told me after this that someone else was interested in booking our celebrant for the same day as us and asked that we let them know as soon as possible if we wanted to move forward with canceling without a refund. Anyway....After about 14 emails back and forth with them and talking to three different people we were finally granted our refund. Which was also a bit of a hassle, because I paid them by credit card, but they said they could only do a refund via bank transfer. So, finally 3 weeks later my refund arrived in my bank account. And 2 days ago, I received an email telling me the bank transfer went through last week and asking if I could please update my yelp review as they felt hurt by the original content, because they take their business seriously and because they apologised for what was a misunderstanding. Uhmmm...no, no you did not apologize. You expressed regret and unfairness to myself and the celebrant. You copy/pasted the paragraph on your website where it states the ceremony is not legal several times over in different emails. But you absolutely made it clear that you felt the mistake was all on my part and took no ownership and made no apology at all. I will say though, that I did get my full refund back. Which I appreciate.....and yes, I have updated my review at your request.

I was as specific as possible about the amber colored uplighting I wanted and sent photos of exactly what I wanted. Alison assured me they could do amber but on the day of my wedding they were hot pink. This did not work at all with the Gold Salon at Carton House. My mom tried to call them several times to see if they could come fix it and her phone calls were never returned so we ended up just having them removed by Carton House staff. I emailed them after the fact and was given a partial refund but not a full refund. They have yet to give me the remainder of my money back. Not only that but my photographer took the majority of the photos of the venue before the uplighting could be removed so a lot of my photos are ruined. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

There was an image in the middle of each photo which we asked to change multiple times on the night, not only because its a terrible image but also because it was a same sex wedding. We complained afterwards but very little was done, the company offered to send out new copies of the images, that is all. By far the worst part of our wedding.

We went here in need of Helium and oh my did we find it! We had already purchased our balloons…read moreonline for an event we were staging. However we hadn't purchased any helium. We called quite a few party stores in Dublin and they were unwilling to blow up our balloons even as paying customers unless we bought the balloons there. No such issue at Celebrations. We had very courteous staff who blew up all the balloons (there was quite a lot) in under 40 minutes. They never once complained and even offered to order us a cab. The shop itself also offers costumes and other party supplies. Highly recommend.

We had called ahead but not booked a time, but nonetheless they accommodated us requesting 40 regular balloons and 6 huge balloons-- a job which was to take 45 mins. We fecked off for Starbucks and left them to their work. When we came back the place was full of red and they had organised them into bunches to make it easy to bring back-- which was no mean feat. They even offered to call us a taxi if we needed that, which was excellent service! Everyone in the place that we came across was just lovely, and I'd definitely be inclined to come back for other supplies in the future as a result.
