I took my auto opening knife to Frog Bones to be sent back for servicing since it was slowly opening. I explained to Joe (the old guy) what I needed. He said it would gladly handle it. Joe took my knife into the back area and reappeared about 10 minutes later with my knife working perfectly. He cleaned it thoroughly and gave me advice on how to keep it clean and working into the future. Thanks to Joe, we didn't have to send the knife back !! Experience: We came on a Thursday without an appt and asked if we could get a beginner class for my 16y/o. It was about 6:00pm. Facility: This is a nice place. I came for a free class in the past and they have nice classrooms upstairs. Downstairs they have the storefront with lots of merchandise to purchase. Then they have the checkin area, and the actual range behind. There is also an area with glass windows where your people can sit and watch yall shooting. The range had 12 lanes and was in good shape. Service: The man signing us up was quiet but polite. Then the man who gave my kid the class was friendly and knowledgeable... (I believe his name was John) he gave my kiddo the confidence to shoot the gun for the first time and she did amazing!! He even helped us on the range when she started veering off the target. This is a safe and knowledgeable shooting center. I have come here numerous times. I usually come with someone that is experienced and likes to use the big guns. I'm on the timid side. The officers usually help me reload and off tips. My next trip for the holidays I am signing my mother and I up for a private lesson so we feel safe and can protect ourselves if needed. The entire team especially Casey and Bob have made me feel so comfortable and less scared. I used to feel intimidated but they are so warm and welcoming. read more

Cannot recommend this place. They currently require ID for ALL purchases claiming that it's for marketing and inventory control purposes. They admit to keeping a database indefinitely which "profiles" customers. They share their sales and other data with other stores. Sounds like price-fixing to me. Staff and one owner (Ethan) were rude and disrespectful when I declined to identify myself for a non-firearm CASH accessory purchase and then again were rude and disrespectful when I complained about the disrespect and the policy. Said they had never heard of such a thing and implied that I was an extremist. Ethan actually said it's NOT TRUE that the customer is always right at Frog Bones. I absolutely believe him. I will NOT be returning or recommending to my students and friends. I guess I will never know if they try to be cash-friendly as they promised. This is one of the finest ranges I have ever been to. Bright, clean with a great inventory of weapons and gun supplies. Prices are very fair. (They are an Sig authorized store and a great blade store...check the display!). The ranges are wide , well lit, and clean. Range rental and ammo prices are low. Long guns are allowed. The Range Masters are serious but not living in Camp Lajune, And the people. Amazing. Helpful. knowledgeable, and for those of you new to gun stores...patient.! Have been to FrogBones multiple times over the past few years and every time the staff has been incredibly helpful, more than happy to answer any and all questions. Ranging from products themselves, shooting form, or general info, and every employee was always super helpful and will work with you to help find exactly what you are looking for. If you need help with shooting technique or help on the range, the range marshals in my experience have always been friendly, helpful, and ultimately make your experience feel safe and enjoyable. Most notable an outstanding employee would be that of Joe. Joe will take the extra time to help make recommendations about purchases, answer your questions about anything he can help with, and even take time to help you with range questions from shooting form to questions regarding gun performance to check for issues. All said and done, FrogBones staff at all my visits (15+ over 3 years) have been nothing but friendly, personable, and helpful with anything and everything at the range/store. read more

This is a place I visit often with my family in friends, never had an issue until today when I went in with a group of my friends to shoot. We were met at the door by a range officer who immediately began accusing us of smoking and smelling like marijuana. My friends and I being Military, marijuana is non existing in our lives. I feel we have been racially pro because of the color of our skin and this is completely unacceptable! I will never be back to that range again. read more

I wrote a poor review last year after having an incident on the range and I had highlighted the amount of attrition that has occurred over the years and mention it's noticeable in the way people are treated. Most of the folks now seem like cars salesmen. I deleted that review because the owner responded and I thought maybe I was a little too harsh. Back in early October my wife and I gave it another shot and swung by. They happened to have the Daniel defense I've been looking for on order and on the way. I was told it should be arriving in November. I got thethe suppressor, eotech, riser, trigger and everything to go with it and put down money to layaway the rifle. Fast forward in December and Angela tells me that she actually told me December arrival date which I just said okay to and that I was looking forward to getting it before the new tax stamp ordeal. Fast forward another week or two I ask several people, including Ron, if I can cancel the order and am told no even though it is available to ship from silencer shop (cheaper and with a free tax stamp) which would've let me get it submitted before the cutoff date. We come back in December 26th and Angela tells me she's been allegedly trying to reach me but Daniel hasn't shipped it out. She did offer to get it through a supplier and I said sure because at this point I'm already past the atf cutoff date. Two weeks later I call in and apparently Angela called and left me a voicemail saying it came in yesterday but I don't have one. No big deal, I am excited and go in to submit the paperwork. I get there and she has me work with a younger person who is bragging about his suppressor only taking three days to get through the process before Christmas. He proceeds to tell me that not one of Frogbones's has returned since the new year and it might be days until mine gets submitted at all. I understand parts of this are out of their hands and onto the atf. After I got home i called Angela and mentioned that I have a friend who hasn't been submitted and they bought way back on Black Friday and I inquired on how long mine would take just to get started and she got mad at me for calling her back over it. At this point I just asked if I can have a refund and she tells me I've "made her mad" and she'd love to and I have to come in store. I get to the store and the assistant manager handles everything at the register. When I asked why this couldn't have been done over the phone (in a very calm way) he told me don't be short with him and then proceeded to say "we would love to never see you again". I've done nothing but butter these people up since October because I really wanted this gun. I've gone out of my way to be overly nice. My family has spent a stupid amount at Frogbones since 2021. To end this with "we would love to never see you again" is something else. Let's see if they refund me the 3% credit card charge. read more

Great shooting range! The staff is friendly and helpful and treats customers of all levels of experience the same. They take their time to explain things and aren't "snobby", for lack of a better term. The Range Officers are awesome. They are helpful while also giving you space to practice. Frogbones is charging a surcharge on debit card purchases for ALL debit card purchases which is against federal law and they are not disclosing it before purchasing. They admitted on March 7th, they are adding it to everyone's debit card purchase and not telling customers. I found out because I questioned why my charge was higher than the balance owned when I was picking up my weapon. The sales person said they were tired of paying the fees and were passing that on to the customer from here on out, which is illegal per federal law. After reviewing all of past receipts because I kept most of them we have paid between $100-$150 in debit surcharge fees. Pay attention to your receipts and don't assume it's just "taxes" added on. Pay cash for everything if you must shop there. read more

I have been going to Frog Bones shooting center for 9 years and the people are great and so is the range ! They have both rifle/shotgun and small caliber ranges (all indoor- I think 16 total) and the range masters are very helpful and knowledgeable. I've taken young people both male and female as well as adults who have and also have not ever shot a weapon and this range allows two shooters in a range booth so you can give training/pointers to whoever you are shooting with and they allow you to have fun while also keeping range integrity/safety! I think if you see any star rating other than 4 (only because they are at capacity and only have one line for range access and checkout for payment) or 5 stars, then take any low star rating with a grain of salt. Why? This range is quality! The staff are polite and really know their products from firearms, gunsights and scopes, ammo, and weapon accessories plus a solid selection of holsters. They also have a big choice of weapons (pricing is great and they beat Academy and Bass pro shop on one of my firearm purchases) and they have plenty of gear to purchase as well as weapons to rent. The ranges are more than adequate and clean. Target systems are dependable and lighting is good! Highly recommend ! (I spent 35 years as both a U.S. Marine and U.S. Navy Veteran so my five star rating is from a vast history of shooting at ranges all over the nation. Also, the collocated restaurant is delicious ! There are 18 lanes from 15 to 25 yards. They have a bar and grill with local beers on tap. The restaurant is clean and the employees are very friendly. I'm not sure why Frogbones does not get all 5 star reviews. i visited yesterday for the first time, spent 2+ hours checking out the retail store and talking with staff who were friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to show me everything in the exhaustive inventory. The wall, hell the room of Sig was something to behold, not to mention they have an armourer on staff. i decided to take a refresher class with Frederick von Mach (Freddie), who has an impressive list of credentials. My time and money with Freddie was well spent. We did about 1/2 hour of classroom going over saftey and fundamentals. i found his knowledge, no nonsense teaching style refreshing and respectful. We headed to the range for an equally productive session, running drills, correcting less than technique. Thank you Freddie and Frogbones. read more

Was a bit intimidated after my experience at other places and seeing these reviews but took a shot. Immediately after I walked in, I noticed the place was clean and there was plenty of staff members who were willing to answer questions and assist. Everyone I encountered was super helpful. Plenty of selection to buy or rent for the range and prices seemed decent though I'm not an expert. Plenty of ventilation so you aren't breathing anything harmful as well. Uncaring management. I gave them a firearm to transfer and the UPS driver that picked it up never scanned the box, took it to the depot in Melbourne, passed it off to a picker who pawned it. Luckily he was caught and arrested. 1 year later I finally got the gun back. I was missing the original case, 1 ten round magazine, and two holsters. I emailed them to let them know I recovered the firearm. They asked me to send them some information about the recovered gun which I happily did. I emailed them back and suggested they have the driver sign a log book denoting he picked up a package or to make sure he scans the package in the presence of an employee. I also asked for a gift card in the amount of the missing merchandise which I believe is reasonable. I a still battling with UPS which will only insure you package up to $100 even when their driver steals a gun! I was then told that they transfer thousands of guns a year, blah, blah, blah, etc. Basically washing his hands of any responsibility for the loss. He said he could not understand my reasoning for requesting compensation. Maybe he should read the other complaints about the managers and staff and this could clue him in about the lack of customer service. I understand they are the "only game" in town and I guess I will find other places to go. I would remind them that while you are very successful, you know how you lose a battle? One soldier at a time. You just lost another one! read more

Great experience at a safe, friendly, knowledgeable range. I had promised to take my "summer daughter" shooting before she returned home to Spain. Staff are good helpful I was browsing ammunition and was asked if I needed help which i replied no thanks as I found what I needed. ---------------------------------------------FFL I just recently did an ffl transfer to this place. Smooth as butter total came to 40$, 35$ hand gun fee 5$ background fee. since it took more than 3 days for the gun to ship after purchase online I was able to leave with it same day. Nice place for amateurs. Range is AC and the restaurant is good. Too many "No's". No shooting from the holster, no loose ammo, no steel case ammo-they will only let you shoot brass. Serious shooters will be irritated by all their rules, especially the ammo rules which seems to make no sense. Not a bad range but not a great range either. read more

The location is easy to find as it is right off US1 in a large green building. There are 3 parking lots (in front, next 2 and behind the venue. There is a restaurant (with GREAT food), a store and 2 ranges. One of the ranges has 12 lanes and is for pistols. The other range is for larger guns and some rifles. The staff is very professional and friendly. You have to check in at a central counter. A waiver is required and you will have to show id. They may want to check your ammo or weapon. You must wear eye and ear protection before entering the antechamber for either range. It can get busy at times but I arrived at a slow time. The check-in was easy, the range masters were great and the range was clean. If you are looking for a good range to practice shooting, this is it. read more

What a fun place to spend time! The store was well stocked with almost anything you could want. The staff were all super friendly and professional. The range was clean and safe and had a variety of paper targets. The range officer (sorry I didn't get a name) was helpful and helped make the time there enjoyable for us. The food in the attached restaurant was delicious! Large servings, very attentive server. She was one of the funniest, yet efficient servers I have seen in quite awhile. We decided to take the our family to FrogBones for our first experience with shooting a gun. We had a group of 5 adults, once again, none of us had any experience. We took a private class with Frederick von Mach to learn some basic gun knowledge before we went into the gun range. I was very nervous about handling a gun and after an hour with Frederick, I felt comfortable enough to shoot. Frederick was very kind, kept our attention, made sure we understood the 5 basic rules of handling the gun and he was very patient. He is very passionate about gun safety and even checked on us once we were released to shoot on our own. I highly recommend taking a class with Frederick von Mach, Firearms Instructor especially if you have never touched a gun before. We will be going back for his concealed carry class very soon.
