I got the cheddar and caramel mix this weekend and eating the small bag for a late night snack was perfection. I'm no longer sharing this popcorn, so buy your own bag!! The cutest little popcorn shop! From the traditional movie theatre with butter, to white cheddar, to a Mexican street corn one and more. When you walk in there are little sample cups all around that you are encouraged to try. I think I tried almost all of them and left with 6 bags of popcorn. We enjoyed most of them that night and it didn't last very long the next few days after. The owners and staff are super sweet and are proud of the product they put out. The derby city sampler has 4 of their most popular and there are a variety of seasonal flavors- during the holidays the bourbon ball was delicious! I found this place because I was waiting for my table at big bad. This place was a cute little shop but the powerful popcorn options were amazing. I'm a lover of movie popcorn but I ended up with Mexican street corn , and sweet and spicy. They offer samples to most if not all flavors so you know what you are buying before. The lady that was working there was so sweet. She said that they make popcorn fresh every day so nothing is stale. The Mexican street corn - was savory and buttery but so satisfying. Sweet and spicy - was a surprise. It started off giving sweet like Carmel or candied and turning into an after burn that wasn't so much but also so peeerefect ! Honorable mention - lemon sugar cookie ! Tried it and was actually surprised on the flavor. Not super sweet to be over powering but the lemon is very present and it ended in a sweet finish. I liked it and it really gave lemon pound cake to me if they ever decide to change the name :). read more

Froggy's popcorn is a clever, fun and unique food truck that specializes in well special popcorn. Me and my family came across this popcorn food truck while visiting the buy local fair at the water tower park in Lousiville. My two middle daughters are popcorn fanatics so this was an easy choice to grab a snack for them to take home. They have a very large selection of choices which surprised me being a food truck setup. They are very moderately priced as well for what I would call a specialty food. My second and third born daughters went with the large bag of movie theatre popcorn to share because while the second born loves popcorn she is very picky and peculiar. So she went with ole faithful. My eldest went with a Mexican rice popcorn small bag and the wife went with a dark chocolate peanut butter. They all loved it. I'm not a huge popcorn guy but I stole a handful of the oboe theatre popcorn and it was tasty. My wife was gracious enough to share a tad bit of her dark chocolate peanut butter and once again it had really great flavor and taste. Overall extremely cool and unique truck with good options and good quality popcorn. I always enjoy when food trucks can offer some new for you And froggys leaps at that opportunity. read more

Love to see this local business succeed. The new retail location is so cute and inviting. I loved the smell as soon as I walked in! I was greeted nicely right away from the worker making this awesome popcorn. They have a lot of fresh and unique flavors to choose from. Everything is made and packaged on site, I can't remember exact sizes but a medium bag is $8 and small bag $4 and very much worth it! All popcorn options are put on display and organized accordingly samples are also offered. I didn't get the ladies name working but she put up w my friend and I trying all of the flavors! There was six different versions and I have to say that was a very good collaboration between the seltzer and the popcorn! Cheers cheers to whom ever decided to do that. This stuff is ADDICTIVE! I recently enjoyed my first Froggy's Popcorn through an order through Crowler Catering, and I just picked up more. My first bag was the birthday cake popcorn. This was sweet with sprinkles on top. Popcorn should have more sprinkles in general! This was perfectly sweet and such a fun pick-me-up. Next I had to try Froggy's OG flavor, the Sweet and Spicy. This lived up to its name, and I maybe ate the whole bag in one evening ... maybe ... I did. The flavor started with the sweet, and then the heat took over my taste buds in the best way. We tried several flavors at the Seltzery this week- and I had to look up where I could buy more. (For reference, you can buy online and ship/local delivery or track down their food truck) Best popcorn I have had by far. Hands down. Flavors taste exactly how you would want them to, based on the name, but better. I can't even pick a favorite, just going to list all the wonderful ones we tried: caramel, Mexican street corn, lemon sugar cookie, peanut butter and chocolate, caramel and cheddar, birthday cake, beer cheese and pretzels. Those flavors combinations are just perfect. And there are some cool ones also on their website I'd love to try (cinnamon bun, bourbon ball, maple bacon). Another great local business we found during covid. Several businesses have come together to sell their products at once! I don't know the abc laws about alcohol and food. But they have the system down! We ordered 2 Crowler pick ups and 2 Bags of popcorn. I didn't know till we got home he ordered the same flavor. Beer cheese and pretzel. If you've read any of my other reviews we love beer cheese and pretzels. I'll be honest I wasn't really expecting much. I was wrong! Opened the bag a little later while driving and by the time we got back home it was almost empty. I was Forced to see all the other flavors she makes too - had to get the info for us here! My husband and I tried the Honey Pistachio flavor this weekend and were transported to taste heaven. The popped kernels are big and fluffy, the glaze has just the right amount of sweetness, and the pistachio flavoring was at the perfect pitch--even better than we had anticipated. After we had devoured a 32 oz bag, I had to return for two more, one for us and one to share with friends. I told the proprietor, that adding pistachio nuts would put it over the top, and I'd pay 50% more for the upgrade. read more

I live in the Southend of Louisville and our Neighborhood Association President (who is also amazing) made arrangements for Froggy's Popcorn Truck to come to our neighborhood on Saturday, November 21. It was a chilly, rainy day but lots of neighbors came out and supported the popcorn lady. My husband and I donned umbrellas and walked to the truck, the neighbors were great about wearing masks and social distancing. By the time we got there she was out of the traditional caramel popcorn so I'll have to leave that to try another time. But I bought a couple of bags for gifts for Christmas (they have expiration dates into Feb so that was reassuring). We purchased the Cinnamon Bun and the Cheddar Cheese and apple pie for oursleved not sure what if we would like them. But they were both very good. Even though the bags are not that big the popcorn is very rich and flavorful so it will provide a few servings per bag. The owner was the only person there that day and she was very friendly and helpful. It was fun to have this in the neighborhood and not have to drive to purchase a treat. I would highly recommend.
