I adore everything about high tea - the dressing up, the cute sandwiches and treats, and, of…read morecourse, the caffeine in the tea so I was delighted to find that high tea at @fabledtablepgh was everything I wanted high tea to be! For $35 a person, we got a ton of food with delicious Tea Forté tea and a lovely set up with the cutest cups, plates, and teapots. They do high tea on the second Sunday of each month. Calling and making a reservation was super easy and they worked carefully to cater to any allergies or food preferences our party of 10 had (they switch up the menu each month!). They took my credit card information down ahead of time on the phone so all I had to do was sign the check at the end of high tea. There's also a large designated parking lot for patrons on an adjacent block. They took the time to show us their outdoor space and I can't wait to come back and check it out when it's warmer!

There's also a courtyard at the back and it seems like a fan favorite during warmer months. Great selection of pastries and bite size sandwiches. Not to mention, their amazing tea section and of course the beautiful tea cups. Overall, very generous portions. If you're looking for more than just a Hi Tea experience, they also cater to your event needs. The lady mentioned they've hosted fundraising, business meetings, weddings etc. can't wait to come back for more hi teas!

I used HSWT as my wedding caterer in Fall 2008. They did a really great job, the jerk chicken was delicious (as was the brisket), the tossed salad was made with really nice greens instead of the all-too-common iceberg lettuce, and they made a special grilled-vegetable entree for my vegetarian friends (which came out so deliciously wonderful that I didn't even get to taste any of it!) They also put together a "care package" for me and my husband, so we got to enjoy a cooking-free week of newlywed bliss. Finally, they are great in a crisis. The week before my wedding, the chef had an accident and was hurt too badly to cater the wedding. (Fortunately, he has recovered and is doing fine.) This could have been a nightmare situation for everyone, but even though Andy was hurt and probably had better things to worry about, he lined up a really great substitute chef, and I didn't even realize anything was amiss until after dinner!
