I've been wanting to check out PGH bbq for quite some time. As soon as we walked in, the guys working were extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone had their masks on properly and their workspace was super clean. There are fresh, pre made meats and sides to choose from. When we arrived at around 7PM on a Friday they had plenty to choose from. We ended up getting 1lb of brisket ($20) and a rack of ribs. We also ordered a few single sides, potato salad, and coleslaw. Everyone's favorite part of dinner was the cornbread. It was $2.50 for a small piece, but wow! It was worth it. The ribs and brisket were good, and the sauces they gave on the side were very good as well. The ribs could have been a little more tender. Looking forward, maybe we could call ahead and see when they put their ribs out so we can grab them when they are super fresh.

Great barbecue! Have really enjoyed all the meats I've tried here. I especially like the brisket. They also have really good potatoe salad and mac & cheese. I like picking up food here on a rainy weekend and enjoying it at my house. The outside of this place is really cool also you can see the meat smoker! Love it, super cute

I'm giving the food a 5!! Delicious chicken, ribs, pulled pork and the sides. We were staying at the comfort inn immediately across from the restaurant. I asked around for a great place and the front desk highly recommended it. So checked out the reviews and it got great ones. However, the staff was not friendly at all. We felt as if we were bothering Them. No smiles no you're welcome! We totally felt rushed. We had never been there before so we had questions and there was no one around besides us ordering. Oh well. Iwon't come back. That's for sure

Here's the email I wrote Oct 3, 2020 and received no reply. Prior to this experience I was a massive fan of Pittsburgh BBQ Company. My name is Will and I have been coming to enjoy Pittsburgh BBQ on Banksville for longer than I can remember. To celebrate our 5th anniversary my fiancee whom is a surgical OR Nurse was going to bring me home Pittsburgh BBQ Company as a surprise. This was yesterday, Friday. My fiancee left work early. This is unheard of for her since she works in the operating room as a nurse but since it was our anniversary her co-workers covered for her. On her way home she stopped to grab my gift at Target and then planned pick up Pittsburgh BBQ Company. The chicken is my favorite, the pulled pork sandwich is hers! As she was leaving Target she called to place an order over the phone for pickup. She called around 6:30 and expected to arrive less than 15 min before close. You will see from the attached screenshot she called at 6:29pm and was on the phone for less than a minute. The employee said phone orders are only for orders over $100. She was surprised considering COVID19 and the timing that they wouldn't take an order over the phone for pickup. The employee on the phone assured her it would be "hot and ready" when she arrived to be packaged up quickly and she would be good to go. As she worked her way through South Hills traffic and the closure of part of Fort Couch Road she became concerned about her timing. As she was down the road she wanted to make sure she didn't miss you by closing or making a mess for your employees minutes before closure she decided to call again. The same employee on the phone now said you were closed. The time being 6:56pm as you can see in the attached screenshot. I've worked in retail for over a decade including on the front lines at Giant Eagle for more than a decade. She also worked at Giant Eagle and now regularly works long shifts on her feet. We both feel sympathy to the workers during his extra difficult time and navigating covid safety. We are both extremely disappointed in the behavior of your employee and the representation of your business as a whole. As I said we are engaged. We've heard lots of good about All the Best Catering. In addition, I've been going to Pittsburgh BBQ Company on Banksville with my Dad and brother. I was extremely excited to introduce my fiancee to your food. I really hope you take my concerns seriously as this was a huge let down on a special day where she went out of her way to take care of me and your employee shut her down at every moment. Please see the attached screenshot for the call logs to Pittsburgh BBQ Company. Look forward to hearing from you, (I never heard)

I stopped by the BBQ stand on Sunday November 14, 2022. I ordered the St. Louis Style ribs and the 1/2 chicken. Both were cold and dried out

The brunette mentioned she had only been there for five days, but you never would have known it. She did an excellent job checking on guests and making sure everyone was taken care of. I ordered the 3-bone rib dinner with mac and cheese. I'll admit, I'm a bit of a rib snob, but these were outstanding. They had the perfect glaze with a nice crisp on the outside, weren't overcooked, and were so tender but not falling off the bone without being overly fatty. Easily some of the best ribs I've ever had. The mac and cheese was good, but it was spicier than I could handle. It would be nice if there were a non-spicy option available. We enjoyed a few beers, great food, and sat out on the patio listening to blues music on a beautiful summer evening. It was the perfect atmosphere, and I can't wait to come back. The only downside is that parking can get a little tight when they're busy, but it's well worth the visit.

Food and drinks are ready in just a few minutes and the dining area is ample with clean tables and clean floors. An upgrade of plastic utensils would be appreciated however. The chili was especially good as was the pork BBQ sandwich. Prices were reasonable to add to the experience. Parking can be a problem but there is some to be found on the other side of the street but lacks a crosswalk so be very careful.

The meats are smoked daily with a blend of hickory, cherry, and apple woods. Dining in, carry-out, delivery, and catering are available. So far, my husband and I have eaten three lunches from Big Rigs BBQ--two for dining in and one as a $250 takeout for family. We have tried most of the menu items and really enjoyed all of them. I have not yet tried every BBQ restaurant in the Pittsburgh region, but so far, Big Rig's BBQ is our favorite. For meats, we ate the brisket (5 stars, very tender and flavorful), baby-back ribs (5 stars, fall-off-the-bone and tasty), pulled-pork shoulder (4.5 stars, nicely smoked and goes well with the many sauces), original kielbasa (4.5 stars), cheddar-jalapeno kielbasa (4.5 stars), pineapple kielbasa (5 stars, an explosion of unique, delicious flavors), pork-belly burnt ends (4.5 stars, tender with a very flavorful sauce), turkey (4.5 stars, juicy and flavorful), and smoked turkey-club sandwich (5 stars, my husband loves its cheddar, bacon, lettuce, and dijonaise). For sides, we ate the mac and cheese (4 stars, American, cheddar, and pepper jack), potato salad (4.5 stars, with bacon, scallions, cheddar cheese, bell peppers, and mustard), cornbread (5 stars, with cheddar cheese and BBQ honey butter), BBQ baked beans (5 stars, very flavorful ingredients), and brussels sprouts (5 stars, tasty sauce). This BBQ restaurant also serves some salads. I ate a BBQ salad (5 stars) with my choice of protein, Nashville Chicken Breast. This salad might be the most loaded-up that I have ever eaten. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes as well as generous amounts of chicken, bacon, cornbread croutons that look ~2" in diameter, cheese, onions, and cranberries.

I greatly regret having to write this review. I contacted Two Brothers Barbeque some time ago to…read morecater my wedding. Initially, I had a wonderful experience. The individual I worked with, Terri, was initially responsive and accommodating and made me feel at ease about booking this business. I put down a deposit in early November. Later in November I reached out for some more information to aid in the planning of my wedding reception. However, I never heard back. I was not unduly concerned because this is a barbeque business and I thought this might be their "off-season". I assumed they would get back to me when they were able. I did not hear back from Two Bothers Barbeque, even when springtime rolled around, so I called them a couple of times. I did not hear back. At this point, I got concerned because our wedding was in only three months. I was eager to speak to them to have some questions answered. My fiancé suggested we drive to the business, so we could connect with them. When we drove to the business, we were rather dismayed to see many signs stating "Business for Sale." There was a phone number on one of the "For Sale" signs, so I called it and said that I had seen their "For Sale" signs and was interested in talking about this. At this time, I did not tell them my name or state that I was a client. I got a return call pretty immediately. When I received the call-back, I explained that I had emailed and called the business without hearing back, and that I was concerned that the business was for sale, as we were counting on them catering our wedding. The gentleman on the phone (the owner, I believe) said they were retiring and were winding down the business, but that they planned to honor all scheduled events. He said he would have Terri call me. I was extremely relieved - but only for a short while. Terri called after several minutes. I explained the situation to her. I told her that I was concerned because I hadn't received a response to my email or phone calls and then saw that the business was for sale. She said that the catering part of the business was for sale, as well as their food trucks, but they would still honor their contracts for the summer. However, she then said she would just refund my money if I was uncomfortable. I was taken aback - I had said nothing about cancelling the contract and was really just nervous about the prospect of the business being sold. I received no kind of apology for the lack of communication. Terri said that she hadn't responded to my email in November because I sent it too close to Thanksgiving and that she never received my phone calls. At some point during this conversation, Terri became quite hostile, raising her voice and becoming accusatory. She blamed me for the lack of contact and did not take responsibility for failing to respond. The situation became truly unsettling; in fact, may I say, deeply shocking. Terri did say that she had some medical concerns, which I do sympathize with. However, I have had a number of medical issues, some of them quite serious, and I have never treated a client this way. Ultimately, I stated that she could cancel the booking and send the refund, which was what she appeared to want to do in the first place. It really seemed like she did not care too much about the business or leaving us in a precarious position of having no caterer for our wedding. I left the phone call truly bewildered and told my fiancé I was sorry and that I had lost the caterer for our wedding. He said, "You shouldn't be sorry. You did absolutely nothing wrong." (He had been listening to this conversation.) We went home and brainstormed new possibilities, and, luckily, found another local business that was more than willing to cater for us. They have been a dream to work with. I know this review probably does not matter because Two Brothers is retiring from catering, but it is important that people be careful when dealing with this company. If you have a current date booked with them, please considering making a back-up plan. I'm not sure this business cares to uphold its promises, nor does it take responsibility for its own actions. Please be prepared for the worst-case scenario.
