I had been experiencing some blinding pain and scheduled an appointment for a dentist to look over my teeth and help identify the cause - this insurance coordinator booked me 10 days out full well knowing and approving me paying out of pocket. Less than a day before my appointment, she called and left me a voicemail simply stating they would not be able to see me tomorrow or ever. When I called back to inquire, the receptionist and insurance coordinator became agitated and defensive going so far as to raise her voice over the phone with phrases such as "are you serious?" and "I don't know what to tell you". I did not once raise my voice or speak disrespectfully to the staff. Shame I never got to interact with the dentists or hygienists as they come highly recommended. Would not recommend this dental office to anybody due to the unaccommodating nature and overall lack of ethicality handling a situation with an individual experiencing extreme distress due to dental related pain.

The doctor came in and he considered all of my concerns after checking my medical history. He did a cancer screening and checked my gums in addition to evaluating my xrays. My appointment was scheduled for 11:am I phoned them at 11:14 and that I can be there in 10 minutes. They told me that I would have to be there by 11:15 or my appointment would be canceled with a $50 cancellation fee. The office manager Kimberly, said she understands people have things come up but couldn't schedule another appointment unless I paid the $50 feet. But I didn't cancel I was running late. She only has one other dentist for competition, and that is my childhood dentist, who was just as good. Growing up, I thought all dentists were good with patients, knowledgeable and did their best to make you comfortable. After learning this was not the case, finding someone like Dr. Ray is just awesome. I've been seeing her for close to five years now, both at the CSU clinic and her private practice, and I received the same excellent care. She is also very good at what she does- she often does her own cleanings, is thorough and although I don't want to admit my cavity history, awesome at fillings. I had a previous dentist not give me enough Novocaine, causing some anxiety during this process. She was very understanding and kind and worked with me to make sure I was okay during the entire process. To give you an idea of how much I like her as a dentist, I live in Denver and drive 60 miles to see her. Last year, I attempted another dentist due to some unfortunate dental insurance and he tried to replace a lot of stuff that wasn't needed. Dr. Ray is honest about what you need, and will work with you on your schedule and payments. The receptionist had me on the waitlist for a sooner appointment and I was able to call me and get in weeks sooner than my scheduled appointment due to a cancellation. I love how she answers the phone and there's no robot "press 1 for this and 2 for that" to try to get through to someone. The hygienist was amazing. So friendly and gentle on my teeth. The best cleaning I've ever had in my 32 years! She spent a lot of time with me doing a really thorough and detailed job. I've gotten a root canal, several cavities filled, as well as a cleaning and it is always painless and the recovery (if there is any) is always super easy. Turns out what they said was wrong isn't actually wrong but there's a couple of other things that are wrong that they missed. And all of it can be done by a regular dentist, no specialist needed.
