I was so glad I changed dentist, because the dentist at the office I left wanted to pull both teeth instead of filling the cavities. One of those teeth has a $1000 crown, which I wasn't anxious to lose. Dr. Meridith was gentle and concerned about my well-being. She ask me several times "how are you doing or are you OK?". I'm 78 so I've seen a lot of dentists over the years and yes, I have had some good dentists, but the Dentists and staff at Dr. Gibbs office are the most caring that I have ever encountered. Taylor, the receptionist, makes you feel comfortable as soon as you enter the office. Lonni Beth, the hygienist that cleaned my teeth on my first visit was great. She was very careful not to hurt me. This was a difficult experience for him and he cried and whimpered through much of the procedure. Now he is 8 yrs old and we have discovered 2 of the other fillings need to be redone. That means that 3 of the original fillings have had to be redone. My son is now traumatized and will need valium to have this procedure completed.

The Hygienist was friendly and helped me relax as a stressed out patient who does not like going to the dentist. I felt they made every effort to be thorough and not rush through things while ensuring that every detail was accounted for. I've had dentists that are obviously making stuff up like an untrustworthy auto shop trying to sell you stuff you don't need. I never felt that pressure here. I already have my next appointment set up and will go in with a lot less stress knowing I will be treated with respect for my time and concerns while taking good care of my dental needs.

Dr. Lewis explains every step of each treatment phase thoroughly, and has been so kind and gentle when treating my anxious kiddos. That matters, because prior to the bad experience with my first son, my other children had always done well here and actually liked coming. So while I am still bothered by what happened and still believe it needed to be taken seriously, I also want to be fair. The office apologized, they are trying to fix it, and today's appointment showed me that the poor experience may not represent the practice as a whole.
