I found the most stunning reception lehenga here and my fitting was done by Kiran. Well all know we need more than one fitting when it comes to getting our outfits perfectly fitted to our body and our weight goes up and down and this lady got everything right with just two fittings. She also listened to what I wanted when it came to the color and brought out a beautiful pastel champagne color. Pooja helped with coordinated my outfit being made in India and was so prompt with updating me on how it looks and when it will be ready. I could not be happier. read more

Very expensive, but great variety and options and friendly staff. I purchased my wedding dress here (a coral lehenga with gold beading), and it is GORGEOUS! It was custom made, hand stitched in India, so it took 4 months before I could pick up. When I drove up to Surrey to get it (from Seattle) the staff recognized me right away and were very nice. I also purchased all of my jewelry here, and it is beautiful but was very expensive and a few of the beads have fallen out. I can get it fixed easily but I live in Seattle so will need to go elsewhere. Also the only other downside is the dress was a bit big for me, despite taking my measurements (although I did lose a couple pounds, it would have been too big regardless). They offer complimentary fittings, but I didn't want to have to drive all the way back to Vancouver right before the wedding - especially since my passport is being renewed and it might cut too close. So now I have to find a place to get it fitted in Seattle. Overall very nice and friendly, but barter a bit for a better price because it's very pricey! Great quality and selection though. read more

DO NOT TRUST THESE CHEATING LIARS FOR YOUR OUTFITS! They constantly lie through their teeth about everything, hoping that you'll be okay with the constant excuses they come up with and given something else entirely. My family and I went to Frontier in the beginning of January 2022 for my wedding that happened on April 30th 2022. We placed custom orders for my Mom, massi, sister, 2 nieces as well as a custom lehenga for my wife that my parents were gifting her for our wedding. We paid everything upfront in January and were reassured that we would get all of our outfits in time for our wedding including having enough time for alterations. In March, my family started to get worried as we had not heard from them if our outfits were arriving soon. My family constantly followed up with Frontier every few days afterwards to check on the status of the shipments for the outfits as they were told they are arriving from India and they will get here on time. Two weeks before the wedding, my sister and mom were extremely stressed (stress that they didn't need as weddings are already stressful) as they weren't sure if they should go and buy brand new off the rack outfits from somewhere else as a backup or keep listening to Frontiers lies about the outfits arriving on time and having enough time for alterations. There was no communication from Frontier at all. During the week of my wedding, my sister repeatedly called the owner of Frontier and finally got through to him and he said "you should come to the store as I received shipments from India and yours are in them". My parents and my sister arrived at the store they were told that our outfits were not in the boxes they received and they are not going to arrive in time for my wedding. My family was devastated. This was 5 days before my wedding. My sister and her children were in tears, my mom was extremely stressed as she had paid thousands for these outfits and worse of all had nothing to wear for my wedding. The custom lehenga that my parents ordered for my wife was the only thing that somehow arrived on time and and when my wife wore it for the first time for a family wedding reception, the dye from the garment stained her arms, hands, nails and her neck. Her manicure and custom nails were ruined and she had to change her makeup and jewelry because of this. If she didn't have a backup suit that day, we would have missed this important family event. I went back with my wife to Frontier to explain this issue and the owner refused to believe us or even listen to us. He couldn't ever imagine how this could happen and told us to leave his store. He has no moral compass at all and is a thief! He kept insisting that this wasn't any fault of his own and his language was outright disrespectful from the start. The bottom line is, please save yourself the headache and heartache and go somewhere else where they will respect you, your time and your money. read more

I really enjoyed going to frontier. The staff was super friendly. The owner is a very friendly man and he was always ready to help anyone out. I have gotten many outfits and none of which have failed me. I really like the frontier prét line that is made by one of the staff members. The pieces are super simple but very elegant. They have very nice colours nothing to crazy. I'm definitely going back and I'm definitely going to be bringing family next time. read more

The selection is great but comes at a price...if you don't mind being mocked, disrespected, treated horribly if you want to think about a purchase or are desperate, then frontier bridal is for you! I had the worst experience the moment I walked in. The guy was hesitant in helping, every time we wanted to gage the price he would be vague and condescending. He suggested I try the bridal outfits, and I did. Then he said which one I wanted, I said I need to bring my mother and mother in law to help make the decision. He said for what?!?! I told him I'm not buying, he said he will refuse to help me next time. I was just shocked! I love the new look of this store. Really easy to walk around and browse. Lots and lots of selection. I custom ordered a lengha -- I changed the colour and the embroidery. They delivered on EXACTLY what I wanted in the EXACT week they said it would arrive. Their in house tailor had to make some minor adjustments to the fit, but did a fabulous job really fast. I think they are rare among the Indian stores because they are RELIABLE. They don't promise anything they can't deliver. The owner is really sweet as well and he ALWAYS gives very very fair prices. He says it's not about ripping people off -- it's about charging reasonable prices and making customers for life. How refreshing!!!! 4 stars only because they don't necessarily have "cutting edge" designs; but they have great stuff that fits the bill for many occasions. read more

They were super accomodating, and made several alterations to the product until I was completely satisfied with no extra fees involved. Only part Id say could be improved is some of the older aunties, who instead of undertanding my request for alteration, kept butting in their opinions. We loved Frontier --- completely exceeded our expectations! We're from California and came all the way up to Surrey for the shopping. Out of all the shops we exhaustedly went to Frontier was the biggest relief! We love love loved the selections, the service from Sushil and his team, and just the overall experience of not being pressured but rather they wanted to make sure every detail was perfect including quick fittings. We ended up buying many outfits and look forward to making the trek back up to Surrey specifically for Frontier Bridal! Ah, the well established but run-of-the-mill Frontier Cloth house. What to say. They've been around for a long time and are one of the few successful indian clothing stores still keeping the much loved Vancouver Punjabi market alive and running (all other stores have made a beeline for the black hole that is Surrey). They do have attentive service, to the point where they'll keep harrassing you til you buy something. They specialize in doubling their prices to rip off unsuspecting white folks but anyone who has a hint of brown in their skin will know that the doubling tactic is their trademark, and bartering starts by halving the price and going from there. Another positive is their mammoth selection of garments. But is it worth having a giant number of tacky, gaudy, and flashy salwar kameezes and such? Who needs a bigger selection of unfashionable and not very tasteful garments? What the lower mainland lacks are boutique indian clothing stores with clothing inspired by the latest from Indian designers. Sadly, Frontier cloth house's items are far too dated. It's true that Punjabi fashion is a little behind larger cities like Bombay, but out of their thousands of items I can't find a single thing I'd want to buy there. A visit to Frontier cloth house is for nostalgia (with Limca in hand, bought from All-India foods nearby), not for fashion I'm afraid. read more

Don't ever go to frontier. They have now moved to surrey. I had a custom order and instead of the agreed upon two fittings it has become 5 and I still don't have them. The mgr, Sunil, is rude, lacks courtesy or service and never calls or come thru when he says he will. The prices are doubled or tripled so that it looks like he's giving you a deal. It's a scam. The outfits I ordered were not ready in time for an event I was attending and I had to find a new tailor to finally make the adjustments needed so it could be wearable. very bad experience. order custom made outfits but it doesn't look like custom made it was size 40 and try to make my size small on ready made whole outfits was ruined . colour was not what i want ! when talked to the owner he shouted at us no respect towards woman. went few times back just to get fitting fit but we are not happy at all as we spent so much money on the outfits but it was not what we want it pls think twice before u shop here it's not all about price it's about quality fitting and respect . thanks read more

Wow! The Frontier guy with all the moles on his neck has been around for long time cause he is a compulsive liar. We ordered some clothes that were promised to be their in two weeks. Low and behold after two months, we receive nothing as promised. Shoes were not the size promised, not the same design, were coming apart. Just a all around headache, he didnt even want to resolve the issue, my advice never order from this store or any Indian Garments store, you will NOT get what you were promised and this guy pockets off your misfortune. read more

I have used Yelp for years, but have never been compelled to post a review until now. I strongly caution against this seller based on my experience. I ordered my wedding lengha from Frontier in May 2011. I made several design changes to the lengha, and I was willing to pay extra to have it customized. I paid over $2000 for the customized lengha, which was to be made in India. They noted all the design changes and took my measurements. I told them my wedding was in August, and they said the lengha would be ready by the end of July with no problem. Come late July I began calling them on a weekly basis, and I was told there was a problem with my lengha and it had to be sent back to India to be redone. Finally last week I called them and they confirmed that it had arrived. (No explanation as to why they did not affirmatively contact me.) I showed up this weekend to pick it up, and it was all wrong. The color was wrong, which the sales staff acknowledged. None of the design changes were implemented. In response to this issue they first insisted that I had agreed to have it without any design changes, and later said they were not sure why it was all incorrect. The sheet with the changes was "in India" so they were unable to confirm the order we had agreed upon. We ended up getting a refund. But I spent three months waiting for a customized lengha that came back a month late and completely wrong. I now need to scramble to find something for my wedding. I will obviously go elsewhere for whatever last minute replacement I can find. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! If it were possible I would give zero stars. Never have I experienced such atrocious customer service. I spent a lot of money on a custom order of bridesmaid dresses and the clothing I received was unbelievably bad. It felt like a joke. When I spoke to the store owner to ask for help, he refused to admit that there was anything wrong with any of the dresses, even though it was obvious to anyone who looked at them that they were unacceptable. He then attempted to throw me out of his store. I would have been forgiving if the store owner had listened to me and acknowledged that there was an issue, but he was arrogant to the point of flat out belligerence. He reluctantly agreed to "fix" the dresses, but very little was done and the quality is still poor. He treated me like a piece of garbage, and I will never shop at this store or recommend it to anyone. They do not stand behind their clothes. They refuse to do exchanges or refunds even if the garments you receive are unacceptable. Shameful. read more

I've never dealth with such horrible service. I ordered both my wedding dress and my reception dress from here. And I ordered both of them just a day apart, custom made. 4 MONTHS FROM THE WEDDING DATE. My reception dress came out. But not what I was imagining in my head. And my weddin dress didn't even come. The stupid old guy who works there only told me 2 WEEKS before my wedding day that it's not coming and that he has no idea WHERE MY DRESS IS. What kind of damn business are you runnin where you don't even know where your customers dress is? This store move to surrey and whoever asks me from now on. I'll be telling them no. Don't even step foot into this store. To don't even wanna give them one star. And so I'm crying in the store and the old guy doesn't even care I swear and I didn't even hear an apology from him. And took my deposit back and when to another store. He's a jerk and could care less. Never doing business with these people. read more
