When I started calling handymen & contractors in the area a lot of them never bothered to return messages, or would promise me a quote and then disappear. Bryce answered my call, was able to make a prompt appointment and showed up as promised. Everything he has done for us looks good and when there was an issue with part of one job he quickly showed up and fixed the problem. He's also honest when some repairs require someone with a more specialized skillset. When he discovered some issues with our brick walls he didn't hesitate to tell me that this was something that required a mason, so it's good to know he won't half-ass a job that's outside of what he normally does.

This relates to what comes across as current communication issues. And if I come to Yelp and highlight the good, it is only fair to also highlight when an experience with a company... is not good. I do not have a problem with a business being busy. That is a good problem for a business to have. My issue comes, when instead of saying you are busy, the business continually makes appts or followups they do not keep. At that point you do something I have a problem with, you waste the one thing none of us can afford to waste, you waste time. In this case you waste my time and that, especially when you do it repeatedly, I find annoying and unprofessional. If you can't do a job, say that, I am happy to give business to others. And it is preferable to over-promising and under-delivering. Will not belabor the point, that is my most recent experience. And hopefully this review saves you... time. Thanks.

We are very disappointed and now have a bathroom without baseboards, faucets and a mirror not framed. We have contacted them several times and are not receiving responses at this time. He suggested the part I would need and I ordered them on the spot. He told me to call him when the parts arrived to schedule the instalI. Sean confirmed he could come and do the rest of the repair work on Friday after Thanksgiving. However, when he didn't arrive at the agreed upon time, I texted him and he said family came into town unexpectedly. Even though I wasn't happy, I didn't have an urgent need and it was the Thanksgiving holiday, so I was fine to reschedule. He texted that he could do a time in early December and put it in his calendar to confirm. He promised he would show up for the new time since he cancelled on me 'Black Friday'. I called Sean the day before the Dec appointment and he told me he would call me back later in the day as he was finishing up another job and wasn't sure if he could make it to my place. I never heard back from him and still took off work in case he happened to show up. I tried to call and text him when he didn't show, but I only received a 'auto response' text that he was with another client and would return my call. I tried to call and email him just a couple more times after this day, but got no response. It has been a frustrating experience in general to find a local handyman for small home repairs and I thought Sean did a good job on his 1st appointment with me. But to have him be a no-show twice in a row and then just ghost all my contact attempts is very unprofessional. He is a one-man show and has his own business. But not following through on appointments or leaving customers hanging after they order supplies is not a good way to run a business at all. I would not recommend Aces and Jacks for any handyman work you need done.

Each handyman was cut out of the same mold - on time, respectful, upfront on costs, and superior work skills. Recently, Tony was brought to our house as the dry wall in the garage was about to fall. Mr. Handyman office quickly notified Tony who drove immediately to our house and began the work to repair. Afterwards we asked him to rework the drywall and support for the whole garage, repair all paneling after 33 years of neglect, and paint ceiling and rest of the garage. Tony was personable, extremely neat, kept us informed of his progress, and delivered an unbelievable sight of richness to our garage. As he was leaving I asked Tony if he could add handles to the shower area even though this was not on his work order. He did so willingly and worked overtime to be sure we were pleased. This is the type of workmanship that everyone should know about, and all pricing is up front before work begins. We will definitely be using Mr. Handyman for our future needs. The Seippels
