This was a spur of the moment drive up to Cave Creek on a cloudy day. In all the years living in greater Phoenix I'd only been up that way a couple times, so it was a nice surprise. The Town is small but has many craft shops, featuring native jewelry, knives, katchina dolls and so much more: I bought myself a beautiful folded steel knife with wood handle and a leather belt sheaf, it has great balance besides being a work of art. We strolled around in the light rain, went to look at the rustic wedding chapel - closed, so couldn't see i side - took the photo coming out of the salloon, and the headed over to Hansen's BBQ for a cold one. We got our drinks and sat at one of the high tops sipping our drinks and looking forward to some live music. Cody Gibson had been up on stage for a while when I went to ask him for a fave tune: the Streets of Laredo. He listened to it and then played it for me ! All was going so well then a sudden "Craaack" and a splitting sound: the transformer down the road died, so the Town and restaurants closed... We couldn't stay to eat so can't comment on value or taste. Thank you Cody for your lovely music, and Frontier Town for showcasing your art and charm. We'll be back to taste your food ! read more

Great little historical shopping center right on Cave Creek Rd. If you want authentic Indian Jewelry at reasonable prices this is the place. Have to be mindful of business hours during the hot summer days. read more

My friend and I went to see her brother perform. Be prepared to stand and somewhat obstructed view if people aren't polite. We did have lunch and drinks, rather expensive. There really isn't much of a variety, so if you want that, it's better to walk through town and eat at a restaurant. What they had to offer, it was definitely just cowboy food. So not a very big selection. Regardless at frontier, the town itself, we had a great time. Do yourself a favor and walk through town, just going in and out of all the shops was a joy, but sitting back and having a drink and listening to outside music, that was epic. read more

I love stopping here every time my Wife and I visit Cave Creek (pretty often I might add)... this place brings out the Cowboy Child in me, even at 70 I still have fun at this place, even if my adult side enjoys visiting the shops and the eats there. From their advertising, it seems Frontier Town was here even before Cave Creek was incorporated, so you do get to experience a blast from a historical past. The fun, quaint and obscure little old town main street have you pass not just shops but gallows a funny little boot hill cemetery and bunch of other fun ditties making fun of our Western past - in a good way! This is a fun place to enjoy, chill and browse. I highly recommend it and try frequenting the shops, they rotate much of their stock, every time we visit, we find something else to walk away with. If you like to browse through small shops, you may enjoy a visit to Frontier Town. With 2 young children to keep busy, our visit only lasted about 20 minutes. In addition to the shops, there are some small structures built to look like some of the buildings you would expect to see in an old frontier town - jail, saloon, bank, etc. Other than the 'saloon' the buildings were locked but the kids enjoyed running around and entering the saloon through the swinging doors. I think they may use this area for periodic entertainment - Wild West acting and stunt performances? read more

This place is tourist fun!!!!! They have a bunch of little shops that are incredibly diverse! A variety of sites include: hot sauce, small hut with mostly local made items, udder delights goat milk products!, the candle shop (yummmm) and the traditional touristy souvenirs. Went here on a Friday with my parents. We went into a shop that sold knick knacks and bought a shirt and a keychain the cashier was very rude and was talking to someone across the room and talking about "spanish". Made my mom and I very uncomfortable since we are hispanic. The thrift stores around here stink and overpriced and everywhere else sells swap meet junk. Don't bother if you're a native Arizonian. Also if you have darker features you'll be looked at a lot by all the costumers sitting at that burger shop. read more

Cheesy area located in Cave Creek, AZ. It's like the 1800's all over again. Tons of shops that sell trinket's, souvenir's and have a few "saloons". I wasn't feeling it although people love the pioneer style atmosphere. If you ever wanted to be a cowboy/girl, this is the place for you. read more

Enjoyed the time spend in Frontier Town. All shops had friendly staff. Lots of interesting places to explore.

Wandered into this area of shops and photo opportunities for about an hour on a toasty Saturday afternoon. Clearly for the tourists as their were those cheesy (but cool) signs where you can stick your head and look like a cowboy or other good tourist photo spots. The best store was the candle shoppe, which had every candle flavor and candle name on the planet and the hot sauce joint was pretty standard with an Arizona twist. Alot of prickly pear related stuff in most shops and there was one smokehouse buried inside the shops. Not sure how anybody but a local could find that restaurant. This was a good place to kill an hour and spend some money on mostly low price items. read more

What a fun place. There were several shops that had great things and the owners were all extremely friendly. Cute place to visit in Arizona! Touristy for sure... But still fun to browse the cute souvenir shops. There is a candle shop that makes its own candles on site and they smell heavenly! Definitely recommend checking that little store out! And the rest of the fun little shops! read more

Beautiful chapel for a wedding!!!! The reception area was perfect! But when it comes to the wedding director... not going to say names.... was rude, lazy, not classy and maybe even slightly racist for wedding purposes. The groom was part African-American, and she asked his darker skinned family to move from the second row because the first row was "reserved for family". Even though she met his mother the day before at rehearsal. Also, they had the venue until 11 pm and she yelled at the mother of the bride at 10 pm to start cleaning up.Also, the two junior bridesmaids (both 12 years old) were treated as if they were not part of the wedding ,so they felt they should not be there.She was being lazy by sitting on her phone for thirty minutes at a time. Nobody liked her, and she definitely didn't make people feel welcome. If it wasn't for her, this review would have been 5 stars. 10 stars if it was an option! read more
