Afterwards, I contacted Hot Tint in May 2022. They responded to me that day and told me to stop by the shop. I made an appointment for later that week. When I arrived, I asked them to install the unit and a backup camera. I can't recall how much time it took but it was done in a reasonable amount of time and I'm happy with their service. I called a few other shops around this time. A couple had other projects and couldn't get to me for a few months. A couple of others didn't want to touch the van because of its age, manufactured in 1989. Hot Tint was straight-forward. They said let them see what I have and they'll let me know if they could use what I had or needed something else. I appreciate that approach. I did have a couple of problems but they were responsive. While driving home, my radio rebooted twice. The cable came loose so they told me to return to the shop so that they could fix it. The second is my clock resets to 12:00 every time the vehicle is restarted. They told me to bring it by so that they can fix it but I haven't. I'm rarely on the screen to see the time and just had other priorities. I mention these items to show that they were responsive and willing to troubleshoot the problem. I rate them high also because there are many mechanics and technicians who can work on a classic vehicle but refuse to do so. There are a handful like Hot Tint that jumps right in and do the job. I'm finally ready to add an amp and subwoofer so I will be contacting them again soon.

I had initially had my vehicle worked on at Next Level Tint in the same garage. After a week of no response from Ashu to get the appointment scheduled, the tint job had obvious contamination and gaps on the window edges as well as a door panel that was not replaced correctly. Ashu from Next Level Tint was dismissive and unprofessional and refused to address any of these issues (after initially lying saying that he actually did redo it already which was clearly false). I ran into Amr in the same garage who immediately noticed the issues and said he would have it fixed by the next day. Amr was easy to communicate with and he called me when he started the work first thing next morning and texted me promptly when he was done just a couple hours later. It's obvious he takes pride in his work and actually cares about getting it right, rather than just swiping your credit card once and then not taking any ownership of his work afterwards. After he fixed everything, I tried to give him a tip for going above and beyond. He refused it and told me the best thing I could do was tell other people about his business. That says a lot about how he operates. He's not just trying to take your money once and move on and is clearly building a business on trust and repeat customers. This is the kind of customer service every tint shop should aspire to. If you want a shop that stands behind its work and treats customers with respect, go with Amr and First Class Tint.
