We got our usual pepperoni and black olive pizza. The 12 inch was perfect to split. The thin crust was delicious. With several beer options and being new to the area, I had to try a local beer and opted for the stout. Great choice. Our server was excellent. We asked her about the name and she told us they have been around since the 1960's! Whaaaaat? The name has just been passed down through owners. She forgot to bring my coffee, and I had to ask for it while she was sitting at the desk computer. Eventually, we learned they had to turn on and heat up the flat-top grill after we placed our order. At lunchtime on a Wednesday, that was surprising. Had we known the grill wasn't already operating, we probably would have chosen somewhere else. We're traveling and were hoping for a quick meal, but it took nearly an hour from start to finish, with over 30 minutes passing before our food arrived. Unfortunately, the food itself was even more disappointing than the wait. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet but was served a bacon and cheese omelet instead, which is a pretty significant difference. The pancake was dense, dry, and almost flavorless -- it honestly tasted like it was made from little more than flour and water. The French toast was acceptable but nothing memorable. Overall, we took a few bites from everything but barely touched our food.  We've been traveling for a month and eating at restaurants all over the country, and this was easily the most disappointing meal we've had on the road. The staff was pleasant, but between the long wait, incorrect order, and poor food quality, we won't be returning next time we pass through.

On our previous layover in Glendive a week earlier we had Chinese takeout so we decided on Mexican this time. There aren't too many options in Glendive. We ordered up the usual suspects - tacos, enchiladas, etc. I had the carne asada which was pretty good. It was compromised of a couple of slices of thin, tough and flavorful skirt or flank steak plus refried beans, rice and guacamole as well as three flour tortillas. It was quite good. Everyone else in our group enjoyed their meals also except for the dogs who got their usual ration of kibble. If you are in Glendive, I would recommend Mexico Lindo.
