Great place to swim and have a cookout. Very friendly to all ages. Be careful if you have a lowered car. It can get tight.

Well I wish I could give this place 0 stars. After waiting in line for 2+ hours a worker comes to our car and accuses us of being underage. After telling her that everyone in the car was well over 21, she calls the police on us. After getting pulled over, the cops tells us we are underage. We give him every ID in the car, and after clearly seeing that every person was WELL over 21, he tells us we still aren't allowed in. Because this place is privately owned and can deny the access of any one they please. I should add that we were one of five cars and we were the ONLY car without a white driver. If you go here you better hope you're white. read more

This place was soooo fun! The water was clear, clean, and surprisingly not too cold. The weather was great and not over crowded for a summer Friday. Ice cream truck even should up!! Bring water shoes though (we did and were glad) you can pick them up for $5 at 5 below stores. Day of fun for $15 and then had some good seafood at Keepers a great little restaurant 15 min. down the road. Can't wait to go back next summer! read more

When I came here last week, I had to wait extremely long just to get into the quarry and was treated like a child when spoken too. They don't know how to engage with customers and are very disrespectful. Customers should not be treated like that. The swimming was alright (fair amount of algae) but not worth the money or the hassle of dealing with the workers. Would not revisit or recommend anyone else paying to go here. read more

Went to to the quarry and waited in line for 2 hours. Made it past filling out the paper and also paying to have them search us and find NOTHING and not let us in nor give us money back. We had nothing on us nor did we refuse to be searched but they made us leave. I don't recommend this place at all. We seen many people get sent back after waiting for hours. Planned our first get-together in months to come here. Out of 6 cars of people, ours was flagged for "underage drinking". We're all over 23 and hadn't been drinking. Two separate police officers stopped us. Our driver is of color and took a breathalyzer and passed with flying colors. We all gave the officers our IDs and offered to have our car searched. We were turned away. Make no mistake, this place targets people of color. read more

This place is fun, but the staff has always been very rude. Myself and all of my friends and family all agree on this. The workers are short tempered and very strict, even when you are following all rules. A few minutes ago I called to ask a question I couldn't find the answer to on the website, and a woman responded with sarcasm and hanging up mid conversation. I won't be going back here. read more

Waited in line for 45 mins on the road, just to wait in another line to buy a ticket. Cool place, but ran terribly.

Experienced this gem for the first time yesterday. 18 and older only. ID required. Must sign a waiver. Must take cash. 10 per person to get in. Yes, they search vehicles before entry to the park. There is an air station for blowing up floaties before going into park. Use it. They allow food and grills. There is a food truck w burgers and dogs. Clothes changing stations. Pavilions. Port-a-potty are available. The quarry itself is beautiful. The water is stunning. Floating only. No swimming. Rocky wear sandals or swim shoes. Take an umbrella or a tent if you aren't going early. It does fill up quickly and not much shade for sure. We went with friends and had a fantastic time. We can't wait to go again. A must if you are in this area. A must. read more

LOVED this place! I can't believe it took me so long to come check it out, even though my friends have been raving about it the last few years. I was thinking it would be loud and obnoxious with a bunch of teens and that I'd feel out of place. Not that way at all. Yes, it's more of a young crowd but there were several people over 30. I like that it's 18+. Also, I like that alcohol is not permitted because A) you can still bring it in on the down low, and 2) It keeps people from making an ass of themselves because they have to use some self control. I only wish they let you take beverages into the quarry (you must get out of the water to drink anything). The water was clear and the setting is lovely. We plan on going back to camp soon. read more

This is a great place to be for swimming and hanging out/camping. The water is so clean and clear as opposed to somewhere like taylorsville lake where you can't see 2 inches into the water. I could see everything! It is 18 years and older only which is nice and while there is no alcohol allowed either, I get it and it probably makes it better. It isn't really crowded and there are tons of spots for each group to be at in their own area. read more

I used to go here all the time but a lot has changed. They are no longer open on any of the days that I could go. The days they are open it takes forever to get through the line. The water is still beautiful but I don't get why they are now closed half of the week. Some people like going on days with smaller crowds and some people never get weekends off. read more

my wife and i have been several times and love it! they kind and considerate to us older people. remember to bring a picnic for food and snacks. the water is clear and clean. good , wholesome entertainment for 18 and over. no alcohol allowed. good police patrols. i only wish they were open everyday of the week. read more

I've been to this quarry several times. Each time, the experience is the same. The staff are obtuse, rude, and angry people. Be sure not to mutter to yourself, "Today is the ___th/rd, etc" when filling out the date on their form. They will be sure to point out condescendingly, "The date is posted on the sign!" Also, don't ever ask them to go out of their way to tell you how much it costs to get in. They will ignore you for 30 awkward seconds, before just pointing up to their mess of hand painted signs. They expect you to read this mess of signs, some written in dark, blood-red paint on dark wood, that appear as though they were painted by a 4 year old. They certainly don't feel it is their job to answer any questions verbally, when everything should already be so clear to you. Oh, and when you sign your name on the form that signs your life away, and absolves them of all responsibility, be sure that your signature matches the exact way you signed it 14 years ago on your drivers license, or they'll make you fill out the form again. (They actually did this to my sister.) This is just the experience paying to get in. The opening act, if you will. Next, you must be absolutely sure that you drive to the right, NOT the left, even if the spot you desire to set up shop is just 20 feet to the left of the sign-up booth. Instead, you must make the 15 minute trek, out of your way, over uneven terrain, through a sea of drunk and drugged-up teenagers to get to your desired spot. But, not before they stop you one last time and rudely search every inch of your car for "contraband." Once you've finally reached your destination spot, good luck getting into the water without slipping on the disgusting algae floating everywhere and covering every surface that touches the water. And be on the look-out for every ladder to me missing steps, splintering, and to covered in loose rusty nails, because they are. One guy in the group next to us fell and cracked his knee, causing a knot the size of a baseball and a laceration. Did the staff care? Of course not. He signed that form saying they didn't have to care. Lastly, be absolutely sure your float is visible at all times, and that you don't swim within 10 feet of the jagged rock walls that line the quarry. Not only might you slice your femoral artery, but they'll grab a bull-horn and scream obscenities at you, calling you out in front of hundreds of people. So, in conclusion, this place sucks. The place itself is falling apart, and the only explanation for the behavior of the staff is that they are paid more the more rude they are. I realize they are underpaid, high-school drop-outs, who deal with obnoxious drunken rednecks all day, but if you show them respect, they ought to show it back. You are paying their minimum wage salary, after all. In conclusion, why have I returned several times when each experienced has been very poor? Well, because they had no competition in the area until now. Now that they do, do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here. P.S. There's only one disgusting port-a-potty for the entire place. So good luck with that. P.P.S- Oh, I forgot to mention the constant harassment from marked and un-marked police cars pulling around to your spot to check to be sure you aren't drinking alcohol or anything out of glass. What a fun way to cool off on a hot summer day. Closer and cheaper than a trip to the lake but I felt like I had a mini vacation. I'm an old lady but was comfortable on the quieter side (away from the jumpers). Every staffer was pleasant; they filled my raft up and answered all questions. Bring your float, your $10 cash, a cool drink and/or snacks and a good book. I floated and read for two hours...cheaper than the therapist! Can't wait for a day to go back! read more
