I've visited this store a few times. It's close to my job which makes this location great. Love the Plaza it's in too. Staff here was friendly, it's a smaller Fruitful Yield but it has everything I want at a location. Great energy drinks and snack bars that I need to get through the day. Clean location. Parking can be a bit of a Hassle too. Overall, great place to visit! So many things can be found here. read more

Similar experience to other customers. Staff seems unusually agitated towards closing time. Old man on the cash register was a complete a**hole for whatever reason. While checking out I ask him a simple question about a product price and all of a sudden he becomes super rude and doesn't want to answer, repeating "I don't understand your question" about five times like a clown. I think manager was standing there behind him just watching and staying quiet. Staff in general seems cold. Maybe the pandemic affecting them? Anyway, avoid Fruitful Yield. Other locations are really not much better. Somehow these people manage to excel at making you feel unwelcome at their stores. Um. This place looks ordinary from the outside. I've passed it by a zillion times. Yet today, I had a moment to kill, and stepped inside. I'm so glad I did. They have many items that Whole Foods has, but for the most part, WAY cheaper. And it's closer to my house. Super duper score. And they sell Kombucha. Yay. And it's wayyyy cheaper there too. Plus, they have some organic dog and cat food-- which is a nice addition. Great for vitamins, herbal supplements, health food goodies, and even natural home and body beauty products. I am giving them 2 stars instead of just the one, because my review is based on a phone conversation with one of the employees. I did not go into the store, but the how I was spoken to on the phone is the reason I did not go to the store. I called to ask if they had an item I was searching for to make a craft I'd seen on Martha Stewart show. The person I spoke to was very impatient when I asked if she could see if they had the item, the size and the cost. It was fine that she didn't know what it was, but when I started to say how I planned to use it in a craft, she snapped at me and talked loudly over top of me. I previously called several other stores and was treated very politely. I was not rude to her and tried to patiently explain myself. read more

The employees here are helpful and knowledgeable. I have been a few times to pick up some organic items with my boss. They have a great selection of healthy food items. We were there for Stevia and other items that are sweetened with natural substances and found everything we were looking for. I tend to like that it's a smaller place and has that mom & pop feel. It's nice to see a place like this in an area where TGIFriday's and Walmart and the big name places. read more

Located in the Darien shopping center next to Ricobene's this small health food store has a ton of natural substances and gluten free products. Can be a dream place for any health food nut or vegan. Staff is very friendly and seems to be knowledgeable of the products. However I can only rate it two stars because I couldn't find what I was looking for. read more

I love Fruitful Yield! I buy a variety of things there including Kombucha, which they have a large selction off. Try the Kombucha with Chia seeds! This is a store that my fiance actually loves too! The majority of my stocking stuffers came from FY! They did a great job pointing my fiance in the right direction. Hello ... natural soap, soy candles and Hugo Naturals bath bombs. I was a happy woman! I usually stop in here for Eezekiel products, Kombucha and natural skincare products. I've also purchased a couple of supplements from them. The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly. They also have a small produce section! They are moving a couple of stores down. I think the new FY will be bigger. CANNOT WAIT! read more

I was in search of a place to locally purchase a dialysis specific vitamin. Although they did not carry one (still only able to be purchased online) they do carry a vitamin for almost every stage of life, specific need, or special condition. Plus a great deal of natural food, snacks, beverages, and personal care items. The space is small, with narrow aisles, but they have it well stocked and extremely neat and organized. The whole side wall is dedicated to nothing but vitamins. We did not purchase anything this visit, but did note that they carried my husband's favorite type of dried bananas that we had a hard time finding in stock elsewhere. The price was significantly higher, but I'm willing to pay for a specialty product. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were greeted kindly, and asked if we needed help finding anything. This chain promises that all their produce is organic. My mom came in a few days ago and bought some butternut squash which had a non-organic sticker on it- no mention of "organic" or any certification, number coding starting with '4' instead of '9', in other words 100% not organic. The store associate insisted it's organic and she ended up buying it as organic produce! I came to the store a few days later and of course it turned out they received a shipment of non-organic squash. I asked the assistant manager if that's illegal to which he replied no! (which of course selling non-organic produce under organic claim is illegal !!!) I asked for some compensation but they refused and just gave me a refund for the squash. My main problem here is that I'm now starting to have doubts whether all the produce I bought here in the past under organic claim was actually organic!!! Buyers Beware!!! read more

Definitely a fan of this place for 3 reasons: 1st the staff I've spoken with are surprisingly quite knowledgeable! Something I don't really see in places like GNC or Vitamin World unless you happen to be looking for the "popular" items. But the staff at Fruitful Yield seemed to know not only the things I was looking for (so there were no blank stares), but they actually had knowledge about what it's for and how to use it best. This is something I feel sets them apart. Also, I'm pretty sure that I accidently met every staff member in the store because there was always a new face that came to ask if I needed assistance and always seemed very kind even if I had declined their help for the time being. 2nd: The place was really well organized and I often did not have trouble finding items as I was doing research on what I needed. There were many brands available on the shelves and also things I was not able to find anywhere else (the primary reason I came in). 3rd: It just feels natural inside! I'm not sure how they did it, but I enjoyed being inside and did not have the sensation that I need to just get in and out as fast as possible. I spent considerable time looking through their products and doing research on my phone without feeling pressured to actually buy anything. Love this shop. The staff here are so incredibly helpful. Great place to shop for great food - we buy our coconut milk coffee creamer here (the only other place that has it is Whole Foods), they sell Applegate products that my kids love, and even Nick's Sticks! I can sometimes find a few things a bit cheaper at Whole Foods or even Meijer when there are sales, but in a pinch, these are my go-to guys. Fruitful Yield has a nice variety of wholesome and healthy things . Just a solid selection and pretty reasonable prices. Cheaper than Whole Foods yet, not the cheapest on the market. Almond yogurt ... who knew? Dr. Bonner's by the gallon. It's a nice "go to" store for just about anything. read more
