I've gotten seafood and prepared meals and both were good, you get a variety of foods that may expire within the next couple of days. This Whole Foods features everything that you can come to expect at a Whole Foods. We got a great lunch a snack on here and the little dining area was very clean. This was my first time coming to one. Only reason we came here was to get the ice cream that was 50% off for Prime members. Those were good prices for Van Leeuwen ice cream. Other than that, produce, drinks, milk, etc were severely overpriced. The thing is Jewel sells some of the exact same goods for cheaper. Even with the advertised "sale for Prime members" it's not really a sale. There is some stuff that you can't get elsewhere. However, the bulk of what you need, you can get cheaper. Shop smart. If you can get over the prices, you can find some real gems here. Of note is the food bar, with plenty of options for vegetarians and carnivores alike. I also love the self-checkout lane and discounts for Amazon Prime members. I'm sad that this location doesn't have a ramen station or pizza, and the kombucha variety is surprisingly sparse for brands, though there are a lot of flavors and the WF 365 brand is a nice price. However, items are pricey and small sizes. What is a pain (and reason I often try to go here as limited as possible) are the pretentious clientele. When we went to grill out and I pulled the hamburger patties from the freezer you could see the meat was very brown and it had a horrible smell. So at the last minute before company was coming I had to run to the Jewel Osco in our town and buy Hamburger meat. We have been coming to this Whole Foods market for over a year now. And it is consistently clean, consistently well-stocked, and consistently well-managed. For the most part, the staff is friendly - there are a few people with a bit of an attitude - but generally the staff makes an effort to be helpful and people are attentive. The nicest people in the store are the ones behind the meat counter and the cashiers. I really like how clean and well organized the store is. They do a really good job keeping the premises pristine, and I rarely encounter an issue where they're out of something I like. They don't change the layout so I always know where everything is, which is perfect. Great assortment of organic produce and meats, and a bunch of pantry items. A huge standout here is the fresh pasta which is cut to order, or you can get entire sheets for lasagna which has been a big hit in my household. Thanks Whole Foods! read more

To me Whole Foods is like walking into a Toys R Us. I just want everything and I can't stop touching stuff. I feel like Whole Foods is a place that has so much to offer me as a customer and that makes me feel amazing. If I want a veggie burger or some "mock" orange chicken I can count on Whole Foods for having that available for me. If I want to purchase something that is dairy free, I know I can count on Whole Foods to have that available for me. SUSHI I'd give Whole Foods, 4 or 5 stars except for the sushi place. I got a rainbow-like salmon roll.("tiger roll") Rice was gooey. The salmon was not consistent but some ok and some slimy or degraded. . The container it came out of had liquid in the bottom (I ordered mine since there only shrimp rolls for $9). When I gave him my order as to the steaks that I wanted, he said that I should have called ahead to order them as he does not have time to get ten steaks. Now, I can understand if the steaks were needing to be cut, but they were in the case all ten, no need for extra time to get them. This is not the first time the workers at the meat counter have been rude and displayed behavior that they do not want to work and be there. They work at a meat counter, not even certified butchers, just the help. If you feel the job is below you, try getting a professional position with your dismissive, unwilling attitude to work and see how that goes. read more

Really excited my local Whole Foods opened a few weeks ago in it's new location which used to be the Dominicks. Soon much space and great light, I may just move into the grocery store. Stop by the smoothie bar up front for a smoothie, go to the bakery counter and enjoy the fresh baked pizzas and breads, or head over to the other side where there is a cafe with wonderful foods, this place has it all. And my favorite thing? All the super friendly people who worked at the old location seemingly are even happier now! There was every register open on my recent trip so no waiting. And if there was a down side? It's that it took me a while to navigate the place looking for all those wonderful brands that they carry. But pretty soon I'll be doing it in my sleep. Willowbrook is usually my go to whole foods preferred location but the last few times I've either purchased fruits that had mold on them that I did not notice until I got home or have seen molded vegetables there. Absolutely disgusting. Called the manager to tell him that my strawberries had mold on them only for him to tell me "What do you want me to do about it?" Smh... and, half of their employees who work the registers are so ignorant. I expect better quality food and service for the amount of money I spend. Today I went to the Whole Foods in Willowbrook and although I usually have a great experience with the staff, this time was disappointing if not outright unsettling. I understand that this is a difficult time for people in customer service with Covid 19, but please let's all try to be kind to one another. As this was my first time in the Whole Foods store since the quarantine, I did not know you were supposed to unload your groceries from behind the rope. There is a sign to keep appropriate social distancing but not a sign to unload your cart from behind the rope. As I came up, the cashier started barking orders at me to unload my cart from the back. As I took offense to his tone with me (& didn't know it was a rule because there was no sign indicating such) I pushed my cart up to the front To unload. He then became even more disrespectful. When I said I have my app he said 'I already asked you if you have an app & you already put your card in' . I actually didn't hear him ask that question and quite frankly it was my first time using my app, so I didn't know you had to swipe the app before you put your card in. I am not a disrespectful person & I am totally respectful of rules and regulations going on during this Covid 19 pandemic. I understand there is a lot of stress going on if you are working in the customer service area at this time. I was not being disrespectful of the rules I I just didn't know what they were because a) they were not posted I.e unloading your Cart behind the rope & b) I had not been to a Whole Foods since the quarantine & c) every grocery store is different & rules vary from store to store. D) the 'gentleman' spoke to me in a manner that was demeaning & offensive and not communicative of the 'rule' to stand behind the rope to unload your groceries. If he would of simply asked me (in a nice way) to stand behind the rope and unload to keep appropriate social distancing, instead of barking an order, I would have understood. Communication goes both ways and so does kindness. I take this social distancing thing very seriously and didn't deserve to be spoken to in such a disrespectful manner. This Whole Foods has so much to offer. I love the coffee bar, beer/wine bar, and juice company counter. Go to the juice company on Tuesday between 9:30am-2:00pm for 20% off smoothies. If you're feeling sweet the "nutty uncle" is amazing (coffee based smoothie with almond butter,etc). The "greenstein" smoothie is an excellent choice if you like arugula. I've tried just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. If you're more of a juice go-er the "Whitney juiceston" is a refreshing choice. My favorite smoothie bowl is the "fruity pebowl" which is light blue in color with hints of coconut and vanilla. My advice is to skip out on the granola topping or ask for it "light" as it can be a bit overwhelming. read more

The Brook tap room at the Willowbrook WF is the bomb! Always a great selection top notch beers (plus a cider or two) for the beer lover. Scott and Jo , and the rest of the team here know their stuff. Beers change often and never a bad one. If it's not to your liking, they'll swap it out. You can always taste before getting a full pint. Now that's customer service. Food here too is great. Best grilled cheese around, and the meat/cheese plates hit the spot. Be sure to come for Happy Hour M-F 4-6 for specials. In the prepared food area, in addition to the hot bar, the salad bar, and the olive bar... they have a pickled foods bar with items such as kimchi and sauerkraut. It also has products I have not been able to find at other Whole Foods, such as refrigerated non-GMO gluten-free refried beans by a company called "Better Bean."
