i have 2 issues with the whole foods in wheaton. number one is the hot bar. there is no creativity at all. the same selections are offered mostly every day. i wish the chef would at least include a few new and different selections once in awhile- you expect that from an upscale grocery store. my second complaint is the broken rotating door entrance. it has been non operating for almost 2 months. it is inoperartable. only the north enterance is available and inconveinient and i think would be in violation of fire code. it is very unprofessional of whole foods not to repair it in a timely manner. weeks and weeks of non repair. read more

Ugh, came back to this location and regretted it again. This time, the cashier and his bagger placed 12 yogurts, 2 containers of half and half, 12 chocolate bars, cottage cheese, and 2 family sized Rao frozen dinners in a single paper bag. Yup, you guessed it. It split from the moment I picked it up and placed it in my car. Really? Do guys never shop? Does WF train their cashiers and baggers re how much weight a paper bag holds? Last night we decided to try Pete's broasted chicken box, Expensive for grocery store fried chicken at $10.99 for a 8 piece box. We picked it up at 4:15 pm, I don't know what time it was cooked, but it was literally like eating chicken jerkey, dry, tough, almost uneatable. We ended up eating a little, my wife took the rest back for a refund. They refunded our money, while defending their product, I just wish they would've tried a piece. Pete's food bar is still the best out of all of their competitors, but it's not the shining star it used to be. read more

Bakery is good. Food bar is hit or miss. Groceries are expensive but often better quality. This location is clean but not well staffed.

I usually shop at the Whole Foods closer to home, but was in the area, and decided to grab a few items. I was very impressed with the Wheaton location. The store was very clean, organized, and well-stocked. Declan helped me in the produce department, Mike found the bottled water I was looking for, and Irlanda was an excellent cashier. I'll definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the area. read more

This review is all about the pizza. Just the pizza. Nothing but a magnificent piece of dough spun with some sort of magic layered with a sweet tomato sauce, lots of beautiful mozzarella cheese, and big ol' slices of pepperoni. I also got a slice of sausage because I was feeling extra. I have had pizza far and wide, from Italians, New Yorkers, Chicagoans, all across these 50 states and across the sea. I was looking for something in groceries but couldn't find it. I stumbled upon this beautiful pie that just came out of the oven, and I couldn't resist. It looked too good to pass up and I'm glad I didn't. It was as if somebody transported me back to New York before all of it got bougie and slices started costing $5. Finally a slice that I could fold in half without the crust breaking. A slice with a sufficient amount of cheese and not some mouse. Finally a satisfying combination of all the right ingredients coming together and even giving me a little bubble near the crust and an edible one at that! $4/slice or $7.50 for 2. I'm so confused. My sisters and I wanted to try out the Brown Butter Cookie Latte that has been viral online and at the cashier I just said, "Do you guys still have the brown butter cookie latte still?" and the worker (not sure of her name but it was something similar to Cheyenne) there was absolutely rude for no reason. She answers in a very soft and annoyed voice, "yeah? do you want any thing else?" My sisters and I were so taken aback because just before we ordered, she was laughing and so happy with another customer sitting down. She also kept a straight face and monotone voice so it confused us so bad. We genuinely have no idea why she was acting that way only to us? The latte was really good though so that's why I'm giving 1 star lol. But I don't think I will ever get coffee or any drinks there again, maybe just shopping. read more

Haven't been to whole foods in years but this was my first experience back there...... They had four fried chicken thighs in the refrigerator and I saw 11.99. So I picked up the box of four chicken wings. I go to buy them and he gives me the total and I'm like what? I look on the bottom and it was 11.99 a pound. DO NOT order cupcakes from here. I ordered $100 worth of cupcakes from Whole Foods for my daughter's first birthday. They packaged my cupcakes AWFULLY. Instead of putting them in the six pack containers which has holders for each cupcake so they don't fall over, they smooshed all of my 50 cupcakes into one flat container. The cupcakes were all tipped over and the different frostings were rubbed onto each other. Just not pretty. Not worth it. read more

I don't know what it is about customer service these days, but it's horrible and it's not just teens who suck at it, it's older adults as well. I check into the stall to pick up my groceries and I'm waiting several minutes, as per usual, but then I turn toward the door and I see a woman with a cart and bags waiting across the street just standing there. Then a couple minutes later she's on the phone still standing there. I proceed to get out and check the trunk. Then she disappears back into the store. I get a VOICEMAIL saying she didn't see me in the stall. I was the only car in the curbside area!!! The voicemail said she'd wait a few minutes then have to restock my stuff. So I checked in AGAIN on my phone, this time it's erroring and no one is coming out. So I go inside to customer service (my kids are in the car mind you, with gramma). The teen in customer service is half listening to me and basically told me I'm too late and she's likely restocking. Doesn't ask for my name. Doesn't try to flag down the lady to stop her from putting everything away. Does absolutely zip. This is the customer service desk!!! So I'm leaving saying their system is absolutely ridiculous. I get in the car and leave. Then I decided to call the manager. I get the same teeny bopper and I demand to speak to her manager. The manager gets on the phone, "hey, this is Sarah..." I'm like "heeeey Sarah, your team absolutely dropped the ball on my order blah blah blah." She tells me she needs to confirm the story on her end and get back to me. She doesn't call me back, someone else does, and the only thing they offered to do was deliver my stuff that she said had not been restocked after all???? I don't believe her story for a second because when I was inside I saw the lady walking up and down the aisle putting stuff away from the paper bags. I told them I don't want them coming to my house!! I was so mad and wanted them to make it right, but she offered no solutions until I finally squeezed a $20 GC out of her, to which I said forget it. These people have absolutely no empathy for their customers, not sure who they think they're working for, maybe they're produce and fine cheese sympathizers. I will never order another curbside pickup nor will I go to this location again. read more

I had to do an Amazon return as well as pick up a few things during my visit. The Amazon return station was right by the door without a line so that was very easy. Next I needed to get some bananas and I wanted a salad. The produce department has a great selection and it's pretty pricey. I found the bananas to be competitively priced but noticed some big price differences on citrus and other items. The produce section needed to have more room for moving around in my opinion. Next I went to get a salad. I knew they would be on the other side of the store, but I had hard time finding one. They had a salad bar, a hot food bar and pizza but it wasn't obvious where the pre-made salads were. I thought they would be in a wall unit where they had lots of cold beverages, but couldn't see them. They were on the top shelf. It was a great salad! When I went to check out I got my QR code from the Amazon app. I thought that they would scan it and I would be done, but the QR code was only for prime, not paying which is kind of stupid. The woman checking me out agreed but was very pleasant when she explained it. Not a bad visit, but I don't see the value for the money. read more

I've definitely seen a better change here in the last few months. The amount of Amazon shoppers does not feel as intense as it was. They are more polite. The people who work here are so amazingly friendly! Everyone, the butchers,bakery and checkouts! Happy to see this change because during Covid I was turned off by an intense amount of takeover and impolite people working for Amazon for grocery delivery. I enjoy shopping at this Whole Foods Market. They are always fully stocked on the items I need. I love the fresh soups and salads they have as well. Always so fulfilling and delicious. This used to be my regular grocery store even though I live 20 minutes away. It was such a lovey experience and I trusted the items I was purchasing. I kept giving it another try but I am done. I have placed several orders for pick up and every time I am missing items or have received damaged items. Today I was missing two bags when I got home. I love the fee samples and I love that some Mariano's have oyster special on tuesdays with a choice of wine or a good beer. I love the huge variety of ethnic foods from All over the world. The coffee bar is always making up hours. They constantly cannot do their job. I don't know who is in charge of the coffee bar but they need to work on doing their jobs. Most horrible service ever. The new store is nice! It is much larger than the old one and feels brighter and more open. I also think the parking lot is easier. I was underwhelmed by the mochi bar. I struggled a little to find things in the new store and the employees seemed like they were still figuring out where everything is (they weren't that helpful lol). I was there on a Sunday, but I would recommend spreading out the sample stations in the produce area more because it was a disaster today. read more

Used to live near here a few years ago and decided to stop in since I was in the area. First, the prices are way high like most places these days but Whole Foods was always more expensive to begin with; now it is much worse! Second, there were only two handicapped scooter carts in the store but only one was charged so my husband who is disabled had to try to walk around with his cane and that didn't work out too well. We would have shopped more and spent more if a handicapped electric cart was available for use. The thing is that about 25% of the customers in the store today were older/elderly so I can't imagine why they only have two electric handicapped carts. I'm sure we are not the only ones with these needs. Don't live around here anymore but still would not have gone back due to this reason. Thursday August 16, around 9:00 am. I found myself very dissatisfied in the freshness of food. I am typically satisfied with produce here and don't need to rummage through the produce. Today was a frustrating day for the tomato section. I could not find any packaged tomatoes that were fresh. Most of them were actually really moldy which brought my attention to wonder how long they were out, what temperature they stood at. Let me begin by informing you I'm 67 years old. I went to Whole Foods Danada to purchase food items and beer for a BBQ for my daughter and her family. Upon trying to check out in the self service area a staff member came as I had beer. Understood. However, as my license was in my car I didn't have ID on me. So, she refused the sale!!! Again, I am 67. I asked to see her supervisor. He stood ground with her. I couldn't believe it. He stated it's a State Law to ID everyone. As a former Wine & Spirits Distributor Representative I knew this was not true. So, I asked to see his supervisor. He gave me a name of Bill and a phone number. I called the number and it was the store number and Bill wasn't in of course. Know I would have gone to my car to get my license but it was pouring rain and I had no umbrella. Carried what every other Whole Foods has, and more! Came here to get mochi ice cream. They went for $2 a piece which is really expensive compared to how many you can normally get in a box. With these, they are just all open in a fridge and you can pick how many of whichever flavors you please. There is mango, black sesame, double chocolate, vanilla, green tea, strawberry. I went with mango, black sesame, and green tea. Black sesame was the best. It was a bit more frozen at the center. Cons: Still bare on some items (Annie's dressing selection is limited), still have moldy items, i.e. organic peaches front-and-center. The vegan blueberry muffin I bought - that LOOKED fantastic - had NO blueberries on the inside. What?! What a let-down. Meh. You can put lipstick on a pig...
