Better than what you can get at a regular grocery store, and its cheap. You can go next door to the small Loblaws and get the rest of your groceries, but buy your produce here. With a TD across the street, a multitude of coffee shops nearby...why go anywhere else?!

We found that the ratio of products from Asian countries other than china is significantly higher than we've seen in other Asian/Chinese grocery stores. The produce is on the right when entering the store and meat department at the back. I was on the lookout for ube but hadn't seen it at other stores. There's frozen ube in this supermarket along with lumpia and turon. The breads section is quite large and next to that is the hot foods section with bbq meats as well. There was a section near the hot foods that used be filled with books and cds but now is Petit-Chef Tang selling Chinese crepes. When comparing prices to similar stores Bestco is fairly competitive. There are plenty of cheaper items but some are more expensive. They offer curb side pickup for groceries. By the cashiers there's many baskets filled with groceries and ready for customers to take them home. The Bruno compact hot plate seems to be all the rage these days and Best Food Mart was not to be left out of selling these. They were on sale for $119 and the various plates were available as well - takoyaki plate, cupcake plate, ceramic-coated pot and ceramic-coated pot with a divider.

Their oranges and bananas were tasty and fresh, and their kale was crisp and not at all wilted or mouldy. I really appreciate that. It's certainly not cheap, but it's worth it considering the quality of what they are selling.

As far as an Asian grocery stores go, this is one of the cleaner, and better organized ones that I have been to, maybe ever. Not only are they clean, but they have a great variety of snacks and drinks, as well as your standard fare for everyday cooking. To me, the star of this place has to be their prepared foods area. Evidently after 8pm, they mark down lots of their prepared food items. From dim sum, to noodles, fried rice and other entrees, you can score plenty of items for $4-6 which were normally 2-3x that. I felt like a kid in a candy store and began snatching and hording all the things. I had to stop and remind myself we were on vacation, and would be living out of hotels for the next few days, so I limited myself to just a handful of items. We got some noodles, fried rice and dumplings, which we would end up eating for breakfast over the next few days. While nothing was mind blowing per se, the food was solid and certainly economical. If I lived in this area, I could see myself coming here on the regular just for the prepared foods. OVERALL - almost wish I hadn't come to this place, so I'd never knew what I was missing. This place is huge, and sells all kinds of things. Parking is a bit hectic, even at 1:45 on a Thursday afternoon. The parking spots right in front of the Food Mart are very small, and scary for a big SUV like mine. But there is very frequent turnover, and if you just drive around the lot for 30 seconds, someone will be pulling out. The parking spaces in front of the stores facing the Food Mart are larger and a bit easier to navigate. This mall is great fun to go to. They have all manner of foods (fresh noodles! Great fruits! Asian stuffed toys and cosmetics! Fresh meat and seafood! The list goes on and on ...) and an excellent prepared food counter, and a Chatime outlet. We bought some mochi, some enormous strawberries, and a variety of dim sums from the food counter. Our selections included fried dough sticks (they actually reheat well in the air-fryer), fried squid, scallion pancakes, seafood and pork dumplings, some delicious pork and shrimp mini-pancakes. The squid was the way my daughter likes it (chewy), and I enjoyed some as well. Everything else was great, although the dumplings were a bit past their peak, and should have been switched out for new ones. We also enjoyed some delicious bubble tea from Chatime, which always has new, seasonal selections to tempt you. Basically, a trip to the Asia Food Mart is really fun, as they have such a diversity of products. Next time, I'm coming here to shop "for real" (meaning actual groceries, as opposed to lunch or snacks). The butchery and fish counters serve really fresh food at a good price, and there are some great deals on produce. You can't get around the fact that this is a snack haven. I couldn't resist at that price and bought one. She also supplies many of the plants to the business on her block. They even have a tiny wall of general items at the back, such as kitchen utensils, tape, string, etc. Their flowers are lovely, as previously seen in poste photographs, produce is fresh, and they have an amazing array of cacti.
