Although that's not that many reviews, we chose to give it a try because of the star average, the close proximity to our home and because out of the 10 different veterinary offices nearby, this was the only one what offered a pet plan. Upon arriving, the building looked kind of dated and it's easy to pass by, so be careful you don't miss it. When we walked in, all their merchandise and pet supplies looked well organized. There was even a white board that welcomed my miniature poodle, Rupert, for his first visit, which was very thoughtful of the staff. One of the ladies behind the counter asked how she could help us, but her disposition was very unwelcoming and unmannerly. We later found out from the doctor that her name was Brenda. As we were filling out the forms Brenda gave us, our dog was getting pretty nervous (which he does when he notices a shift in our regular routine or feels like he's in danger). He was whining and shaking a lot. Then I heard Brenda tell the other receptionist with annoyance, "Can you please get them into a room, so I can get my work done!" That was rude! If sounds that animals make bother you so much, you should not be working at a veterinarian office. One bad apple has the potential to sour the whole experience, so I have a few suggestions for this. Brenda should try smiling, adding some cheerfulness to her tone of voice, and being friendly with the animals and their owners. She has to 'act' like her job is enjoyable even if it isn't. Or she should work in the back, where there's no interaction with the customers. Once we were in a room, we let our dog down onto the floor, and I immediately noticed there was pee on the floor from a previous dog under the examination table. I also noticed the calendar still on December 2022, but that's besides the point. Autumn entered the room and greeted us with a smile. She was very jovial and bubbly! She started off with some friendly small talk, which made us feel like she was showing personal interest in us and our pup, and we even shared a few laughs. Then she asked some thorough questions about Rupert's health history. She really tried to help Rupert feel comfortable. She took him to the back for some blood work and returned with Dr. Kurtz. Dr. Kurtz was also very kind and sweet. She was gentle and patient with Rupert, which is important to us and she was very knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions and we definitely trust her with Rupert's care. As we were checking out, we paid for our visit with Stephanie. Stephanie was also very pleasant and had a friendly demeanor. She was concerned about how our visit went and she explained in detail what we would be charged for. We ended up signing up for the pet plan and had all of Rupert's semi annual tests done, along with some take home medication. Everything came up to about $405. Our only qualm was that at no time over the phone or in person were we told about a $99 plan startup fee for the Silver Plan. But that's fine. Overall, it was a good experience. And obviously we will be back since we live here now.

I never felt that Rocky was just another animal to them. They always were kind, gentle and patient even when Rocky was not. They definitely added to Rocky's quality and quantity of life by helping to regulate his diabetes and and recommending a diet to help him stay where he needed to be. Rocky had to leave us recently and although I had time at home with Rocky to say goodbye and to tell him what a good boy he was, when the time actually came to say the words for the last time, I just couldn't... Dr Morgan took the lead and lovingly spoke to Rocky the whole time, telling him what a good boy he was, etc. THAT... that. That. In that moment I knew our choice to switch to AHC was indeed the right one. That. I am eternally grateful to everyone at AHC for always being so kind and caring to Rocky but especially to Dr Morgan for "That"... I can't explain it... I know it isn't taught but it is exactly what every furbaby parent wants in a veterinarian. Thank you so much for that!

Dr Fink really took her time with us, she's very compassionate, patient and kind, and did I mention honest which you don't always find. I am happy and lucky to have had two excellent vets in Pucci's lifetime, first her Dr back in NJ and now Dr Fink. She also has called me since our visit to follow up and check on Pucci. Because of how concerned we were, we asked for confirmation by text of when he would be returning our dog in case there were any issues. His response only added to our concerns. I would not recommend this trainer based on our experience. It's also worth noting that there has been a sudden increase in 5-star reviews in the weeks since Birdie came home, which stood out to us because we hadn't seen that level of review activity before.

The moment Kailey arrived from Connecticut, Mark didn't hesitate. He immediately started working with her, patiently earning her trust and learning her quirks, her fears, and the situations that stressed her. What seemed like overwhelming challenges to others never became obstacles for him. Kailey had endured terrible abuse as a puppy, including being thrown down a flight of stairs, leaving her with deep trust issues. Thanks to Mark's patience, compassion, and understanding, she has completely transformed. Today she is living her best life and is now permanently boarding with him, where she is happy, safe, and loved. Mark doesn't just train dogs--he gives them a second chance. Dawn has a special gift and connection with dogs, our Bentley (8 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) absolutely loved her. Everything about her training made sense, from start to finish, as she explained (and re-explained, if necessary). She bonded with our Bentley, he came to respect what she was teaching and he was willing to please and obey when she was with him. Dawn gave us homework each week, with handouts as reminders, and did a recap at the beginning of the following week. After training hours, she even sent us a video of her demonstrating the process with her own dog once when we couldn't quite get a certain technique. We didn't always do our homework 100%, but Dawn was able to move forward and teach Bentley the next lessons. We have a lot to learn still and it is a daily learning process for both dog and owner, but are thrilled that we met Dawn. I am already considering bringing her back for a recap and tweaking in a few months. I highly recommend Dawn and Coast Dogs, no reservations whatsoever. You will not be disappointed and you will get results.

When we got them back they went from completely untrained to trained in every way! Door manners, in the car, on the leash, and other basic commands, you name it! They were crazy about food and now they will sit in front of food and wait to eat it when they are told. It's amazing! We then brought them back for a tune up when our son was born. It was awesome knowing they were with people who knew them and loved them. Our dog Charlie ran and jumped in the lake immediately! Happy as can be. A huge shoutout to Derrick! When our son was born 4 weeks early he went out of his way to pick our dogs up when we were stuck at the hospital. He truly loves the dogs and cares about the families. You can tell this is his passion and it shows through his work! Lastly, Anthony has been fantastic to work with throughout too! Our main reason for seeking a board and train…read moreprogram was help with potty training which means the trainer needs to place them on a schedule. This did not happen. Our dog came home with a scab on his neck from the E-collar which has made me choose not to even keep up with this form of training. If the collar doesn't hurt them then why does our dog have a visible injury on his neck. He came home more anxious and trembling which he never did before when we reprimanded him. I believe our dog was one of many dogs and they should not have taken on more than one dog at a time. This program was a waste of $2600 and our dog spent 18 days away from us only to come home not potty trained with no schedule. The owner Daniel was not apologetic and defensive of his program. He never apologized for my dog sustaining an injury from their e-collar usage. I absolutely do not recommend this type of training for small, companion dogs. Our dog is stubborn because the breed is notorious for that but he should have been sent home if he wasn't responding well to training. Instead the collar was mis-used and I don't trust anything related to this method or company any more.

We were recommend to Brian from our breeder after not getting great signals from the first place we took him to board (lost weight, not excited to go in when he arrive, loose stools after pickup, etc.) At first we weren't sure if it was separation anxiety or the facility.. but what a difference after we tried taking him here. He actually gets excited to see Brian and excited to run in the play yard when he arrives. Super clean facility and very large indoor / outdoor kennels gives even our 90 pound shepherd plenty of space when he isn't out in the play area. While we come in from Tampa to bring him, I'll take the drive every time knowing he is enjoying his 'vacations' now as much as we do!

We moved to a new neighborhood with lots of dogs and Lucy had some behavioral issues. Brian worked with her and in a short amount of time Lucy's behavior has improved drastically. We wouldn't think of leaving Lucy anywhere else!

Im 61 years old have the loving pleasure of sharing my life wit 17 dog's 10 at one time all lived beyond their life normal average life spand has time passes on we lost a few great vets . Lost a great ver to covid 19 .and had to go on the search of a new vet , became harder then we expected. But everyone was healthy for the best part until...... our 10 year old Papillion Brutus came down with a flesh eating bacteria started with a sores in his ears then stared to eat his flesh. 1st attempt to get it diagnosed was with Bradenton animal hospital 1800.00 later was getting worse and they wouldn't return my calls next stop wasn't any better. Next and final call was to Fruitvill vet Dr Pepper to the rescue. He took culture's identifying the bacteria look at what was available for treatment was a place in ohio special Meds . Brutus was 2 weeks away from us making the hard decision and say goodbye for ever Doc Pepper saved his life hands down. He just did a amazing job on our 5 yr old Papillion mis Tinkerbel eye surgery. . Dr Pepper has the experience and knowledge to pull for love through the tuff stuff. I learned early in life that you pay people for what they know not what they do !!! read more

I really like Dr. Pepper, he is knowledgeable and kind. Can't say the same for "Dr. L.". She didn't listen to my concerns, didn't take a temp, nor use the stethoscope on her neck, and instead focused on something I had zero concerns about. I will only use Dr. Pepper. My 5 star rating is ALL for DR. PEPPER, and not the woman. I don't feel she deserves the "Dr." Title. read more

Dr Pepper and his whole team and amazing and patient. he took the time to spend with both of my boys and answered all of our questions. They were able to accommodate our needs right away and got him on anti-seizure meds quickly and even observed him for the day to ensure the meds were working. The staff were friendly, caring and very knowledgeable. Pricing was a little high but that's the cost of having Urgent Care available and having knowledgeable staff giving up their weekends to ensure your pets are safe. Definitely not as high as a 24/7 emergency care clinic and In sure regular visits would be even more affordable. This is a privately owned clinic and not a corporate location(who charge way more). All in all, we're glad they were there and able to give our pup some relief quickly. They were even right in their suspected diagnosis of a brain tumor, as we spent the next 3 days watching our pup get better and then turn the opposite direction with an ultimate decision to put him down as it progressed too far for any quality of life. The meds worked for about 24 hours or so and then he started having focal seizures while on the meds. This showed the signs that the tumor had progressed too far already and was effecting his ability to function normally. We would absolutely use them again if ever in need and we didn't experience any of the issues expressed in some of the poor reviews left for them. Some people expect everything for free and pets are expensive to care for. This place definitely deserves better reviews than what some have left. You lack of reading what you're signing isn't their fault, and they are very much upfront about what the costs could be. We were quoted $1,500 and ultimately paid just over $1,000 so I don't see them trying to bait and switch anyone. Highly recommend them if they are an option for you! If we didn't have a vet already, we would certainly use this one more regularly.
