The receptionist had the nerve say "you cant afford 160 a week?" Rude!! They charged me $60 for "free" xrays. I contacted my insurance. This place should never have said they take insurance.

My roommate 20 years ago was a chiropractor. I wouldn't even see him. My philosophy (ill-founded as it were) was, "why would I take my car to a mechanic if I have to take it back???). Well, Rufus you dumbass, the human body ain't no friggin car and you can't fix the world's most complicated machine in one day. Duh. Besides that dummy, you've been takin yer busted-ass "car" to the same "mechanics" over and over for the last 5 years!!!!! Duh huh huh. Well, I've been to the top of the mountain. Born again. I see the light. Only after being referred by Lisa, of Transformations fame (see Transformations review), was I open to the idea. Lisa's word is gold. She is an amazing practitioner. When she told me I needed to go see Dr. Hennie, I knew it was the thing to do. She told me he could take care of what was wrong with me. Dr. Hennie is extremely professional and takes his trade very seriously. He didn't just graduate from chiropractic school and cease his education. He ceaselessly studies his trade and those related to his trade. He is not a money mill. Rather, he is interested in finding what is wrong with the patient and correcting it. His goal is not just pain relief, but overall wellness and health. Anyway, I could go on. But the only way you will know is to make an appointment. Over the last 5 years, I have spent a ridiculous (bordering on criminal) amount of money with orthopedic doctors and specialists. None have been able to alleviate my pain and return me to a more normal active life. In ONE VISIT .... ONE ... yes ONE VISIT, Dr. Hennie was able to address another facet of my injury and begin a treatment regimen. The was a facet of my injury that has been totally overlooked for over 5 years. I have been virtually handicapped by this. If it weren't so ridiculously tragic, it would be funny. Funny because it was right there in front of their faces all along. Dr. Hennie and his amazing staff have literally changed my life for the better. I would encourage anyone who has reached the end of their rope (OR just got on the rope) to go see Dr. Hennie and begin your healing process. Plus, they are super cool. Bonus

The moment I called to setting up his doctor's appointment, to checking him in to see his orthopaedic was very professional. While we were waiting to be seen we really enjoyed to comfortable chairs, vending machines and the free wifi in the waiting area. The entire staff working at the Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic was very kind to my 12-year-old son Rain. And doctor Curtis Gaylord MD is truly the best pediatric orthopaedic surgeon specialist on this planet. Doctor Gaylord is one of my son's favorite super hero, who can fix, mend, and repair any injuries or broken bones.

It was like a barn with standing room only. Mass chaos! The kiosk is right at the entry doors and many patients lack the skills necessary to check in. I was finally seen after more than an hour wait. I had several injuries but they only focused on my wrist??? I landed on my right arm/shoulder/hip/knee/ribs and only the wrist was of interest?? Had an X-ray but too swollen, got an arm brace and a follow up for today. KOC said they "don't do ribs", I believe my elbow is fractured along with my rib(s). I struggle to breathe or get comfortable, and have a weird bump past my elbow that is suspect of bone fragment. Today I go for my follow up. Appt. was at 9:10. I checked in at 9:03 because I completed all my paperwork and paid my co-pay online. I received the "you are checked in for your appt" notice and took a seat. At 10:10, after the lobby cleared and all new patients arrived, I asked when I could expect to be seen. I was told I was "next". At 10:40, when the lobby had almost cleared again, I went back to the desk and said I've been here an 1 1/12 and I am leaving. The worker, not apologetic for my ridiculous wait time; said "I'll let them know" in a very musical tone. LAST TIME AT KOC! I am a retired healthcare admin. This is absolutely the worst lack of respect for patients I've seen in some time. All I expected was for one, of the numerous, employees to say "I apologize for your wait" or something like that, I would have felt a bit more appreciated as a patient. But KOC's model in herding people by the droves and maximizing profits feels greasy and greedy. I agree physicians should have investment in their practice. But this seems to be an unsustainable model. No apologies, no care, so beware! Maybe they are experts, but they severely lack appreciation for their primary source of revenue, patients!! There are also orthopedic experts NOT affiliated with this practice that would truly appreciate you as a patient! Bonus, they can also provide top notch care.

They have refused to see me, answer my emails, answer questions on my patient portal, or return calls. TOC's reason for not wanting to help? I owe them money. My insurance company paid $16,449.53, I paid $1,219.13 (10/20/22) before the surgery took place, and have made multiple smaller payments on the account since. I even went in and spoke to someone, offered to pay cash to have my finger looked at, and they declined to see me. Feel free to look at my other reviews. I HATE leaving a bad review for anyone. I have a right hand that's barely functional without an enormous amount of pain, and negative reports on my credit, all for a surgery that was suppose to fix my broken finger, not make it worse. The images of the bent finger are from 3.25.2024, and I cannot straighten it. Patient Portal picture is multiple emails sent with NO response. Pictures with stitches were post op.
