Also, they are fully upfront with costs, struggles about timing and trying to hold down a job at the same time, housing issues that are different etc. If anything I was impressed that they were so low pressure. Many professors get away scot free with mistreating students, poorly grading assignments, using AI generated reviews of assignments, and overall being incredibly inconsistent. Not only was I mistreated, I essentially wasted 50-60k in tuition on 2 years of middle to highschool level presentations and coursework. Only 3 professors total were actually interested in my development out of what, over 30? Most of them simply do NOT care. A vile school for vile people. Do not go here.

The surgical tech program here only gives you the AST certification...not an AS degree or the national board certification that most hospitals and surgical centers look at for their new hires. Besides that, my instructor MELISSA RODRIGUEZ was extremely unprofessional, lazy, and more childish than most of the students attending the program. She would gossip about all of the students and if you did not try to be best friends with her and kiss her butt every second of the day, she would turn incredibly rude and give you no guidance whatsoever. There were so many things that I needed to learn that she never showed the class. A month before my lab final she excluded me from practicing in the OR with her simply because she had negative, personal feelings towards me. I witnessed her enabling cheating from my other classmates and the list of unprofessionalism just goes on and on... Unfortunately, the director of the program, TIMOTHY LAMB seems to protect her unprofessional behaviors instead of doing the right thing by the students and hiring a much better, and qualified instructor. The social environment of the program, and especially my own classroom became so toxic to me that I made the decision to withdraw halfway through this program in order to protect my mental health. If OCPS knows what's good for them and the success of the attending students, they would do a complete overhaul of the surgical technology department. I am currently enrolled to start a much better program at another school in the near future. I can't say I didn't receive SOME type of learning experience from my time there! Now, onto better and more positive experiences.

I graduated there in 2019 and I have lost out on 2 jobs because they couldn't get a hold of these people to verify my course completion. Even taking into consideration the lowest of the low price, this school follow through and customer service is a freakin' joke. I can't speak on curriculum for every course obviously but for the nursing course the quality of the instruction you get is questionable honestly.

I definitely recommend taking your choice of course here. I was able to pass the nationally certifying phlebotomy exam thanks to them.

Called the first one and got told they didn't deal with lost items or refunds and I needed to call the second number. The second number said they didn't deal with it either and I needed to call the first number. I told them they told me to call them. I finally got a supervisor email and emailed it. The supervisor gave me a 3rd phone number that went to voicemail and never got a callback. On top of this I spent 2 hours, talking to 4 people to get a parking pass $110 later and it doesn't work. I'm still having to pay for parking. Then I decide to drop the classes because I'm not playing their stupid games anymore and because of some situation with the ocpd I can't get to my car and leave for 2 hours and I was charged the extra 2 hours for parking and the person you get when you push the button to call for help told me to pay it and call the number to get reimbursed for it. When I called the number they said I should have talked to them over the call button and they weren't going to do anything about it because the situation wasn't their fault. I told them it wasn't my fault I was forced to sit in the lobby waiting for 2 hours when I would have gladly left but they just said well it's not their fault and hung up on me. The downtown campus of this college is a joke with 0 accountability for anything.
