I attended that May 2018 class in Orlando and took the PMP exam a few weeks later. I passed on my first attempt! Although I have spent around 7 years managing projects and had taken some online courses, the 4-day course and training materials helped to bring everything together, so that I could successfully earn my certification. The exam is daunting enough without some help from folks that understand your objectives, i.e. to pass the test by understanding what to study and how to interpret the questions. My instructor, John Sanderson, made the learning process fun and relevant. He has a great passion for project management and even more passion for helping others understand the material. He took the time to listen to our scenarios and help us understand how PMI approaches the situation while always bringing us back on topic to complete the curriculum on time (a bit of agile methodology there). Though I have not taken the PMP exam yet, at this point the content provided by PMA seems well designed and presented for maximum retention. The class was interactive, and we had several real life scenarios to relate to from both the teacher and the class. I took advantage of all of the in class learning, online tools, and practice exams. I sat for my exam in Jan 2016 and passed on my first time. Exactly what I was looking for in a PMP boot camp. I went through their course in October 2015. I actually went in preparation for the CAPM exam, but the course content was fine for that even though most people were there for the PMP. The 4 days of instruction packed in a lot of material, but they somehow keep it from being overwhelming. The course pace is swift, but if it's going too fast, you can always ask the instructor for a deeper explanation. My instructor, Mike, was very patient and knowledgeable. The course also provide print and online materials for study prep. These add exceptional value onto the course itself. If you have a weak area within the PMBOK, they likely have some tips and recommendations on how to improve. Thanks to the great instruction and the course materials, I was able to pass the CAPM exam on my first attempt. I took the May 2018 training class with John Dokos and he did a great job! Unfortunately, due to a business trip and the family emergency, I had to postpone my test for approximately two months after I was originally planning to take it. I was worried that I lost the retention of the coursework over time. Since I am not good adjust re-reading slides, I was not sure how I was going to start studying again. Fortunately, EVERY section taught, is also present online. I just had to sit back every night for a few hours until I was "retrained". The second time around was really great to understand the material. I passed my PMP in September. read more

He's an excellent instructor and very engaging (and funny) so he really helped me work through the material, especially since it's so much information. I attended the "December 2016" class session for the PMP boost course in Olando, FL with great experience. The Instructor "John Dokos" was very helpful, supportive, and knowledgeable. He provides a lot of stories that helps students to memorize the Inputs, Tools & Techniques, and Outputs easily. The course folder and other materials were very helpful.
