    Summer Bowl

I have walked by this place a few times and decided to give them a shot for a lunch date with my wife. We came right around the noon hour during the weekday and walked right in and found a table. This place is created as a fast casual concept so you create your own bowls from a myriad of choices and then grab a table to eat. If you are new to this concept, there is also opportunities to choose from premade bowls but where is the fun in that?! I love seafood and was very happy with all the choices before me - crab, tuna, eel, salmon, yum! Every bowl gives you so many options, whether it be light and healthy or savory and filling. Finally, you can't skip on the sauces and they do not here. I almost think I overdid it by choosing both spicy mayo and yum yum sauce but it was a tasty mistake. Prices are good, food quantity is generous, and the owners/staff are friendly, passionate, and helpful. Great new place in Lakeville that brings much needed variety to the area.

This business had a coupon in the Wednesday mailer. I was in the area and decided to compare to Hawaii Poke Bowls. First thing is their bowl size appears smaller and its not filled to the top. 2nd thing is avocado and seaweed salad is included in the price. No upcharge which is nice. You are limited to 5 toppings or pay $1.00 for each topping. I didn't choose a mix in of scallion, cilantro, Jalapeño or red onion. This place has a loyalty card of buy 10 get one free. They had printed menus but the prices were white outed and new prices handwritten in. This place may struggle as its in a strip mall where Cub and other businesses are in. Hawaii Poke Bowl in Apple Valley is in a busier location. The perceived value is Hawaii Poke Bowl gives you more food and a bigger bowl. Price points the same. The bathroom was clean. They have been open 3 months and need more promotions and marketing. I added them on yelp. Staff was nice. There is more variety in menu items here.

We had the Kazoku roll, delicious, and the presentation was over the top (see photo). Also ordered the spicy ramen and the shoyu ramen. Both well made and great broth. They have a happy hour special, and bento boxes for lunch. Will definitely be back.

I came for lunch with a friend and could sit anywhere. We were greeted with a warm towel and miso soup on the house. Looks like they also have patio space when it's warm. Lots of good looking and colorful sushi and plates to choose from, lots of variety and unique dishes that you might not find elsewhere like the monkey brains which is deep fried avocado with chunks of crab and tuna. There lunch specials, ramen, wine and apps also. I was a little turned off that the shrimp in my shrimp tempura roll seemed to have some dirt and wasn't thoroughly cleaned. One of the plates he brought to the table also had food stuck on to it. The quality of the spicy tuna on the Minnesota Roll was not as expected, seemed like a well dressed canned and scooped tuna salad, and the crab is clearly imitation crab. Good atmosphere and service, but the food was less than. My friend seemed to enjoy her chicken teriyaki though.

The space is bright and sunny and I don't think there's a bad spot in the house. Service has always been attentive and most importantly, I've literally never had anything that wasn't delicious. This time, we ordered the coconut shrimp to start. They were so crisp and juicy and large. This is something that we get many places because it's my husband's favorite and we both agreed this was our favorite coconut shrimp so far in the Twin Cities. I got the Asian slaw salad with Aji tuna. I've had this before, it is so good especially the shoyu dressing. It sounds boring to come here and get a salad, but it's just delicious especially with the crunchy macadamia nuts. My husband got the loco Moco with short rib and loved it. We got fries on the side. The kabayaki aioli was so unexpected and good! The fries were hot, salty and crisp. Solid fries on their own. We also asked to try the ghost pepper aioli, which was fab and not too hot.
