I called Pippin based on their 4 star review average on Yelp and a driver showed up 45 minutes later. He came in a grossly oversized vehicle (which contributed to the main problem I have with Pippin) which was a very large Peterbilt to tow our 21 foot Chevy Express. The driver was nice and did a decent job hooking it up, towing and dropping the vehicle 56 miles away at my parents house because it was on the weekend and wasn't sure where was best to take it. After dropping the vehicle we were hit with the very large bill of $1487!!! I asked if there was a military discount and he came back with $907!!! I have since had it towed (on a flatbed) 34 miles to a repair shop which is going to rebuild the transmission and that tow bill was much more inline at $170. Pippin should have sent the correct sized tow truck and charged around $250-$300 instead of gouging me and my wife. DO NOT USE PIPPIN UNLESS YOU HAVE $1000 extra dollars in your pocket!!!! I gave two stars (instead of one) because the driver did a decent job and the extremely high cost was not his fault.

We are going through a lot right now and trying to balance work with making phone calls, as the service portal has been really difficult to navigate. I felt like I was bothering them every time I called, and by the time I finally got the information I needed, it was all bad news. Sometimes I regret not going to a larger dealership. They might have had the part in stock. At Sunset, I always received a loaner vehicle at no charge. However, I've already spent $185 for the diagnosis, which is the minimum charge regardless of how long it took. It's overwhelming when everything seems to hit at once. Larry, a rider himself, was excellent in helping me secure a bike with the correct straps and methodology, which doesn't seem like much but one wrong move can cost you thousands if your bike falls in transport. While I was on his lot, I noticed a trailer that was priced right. After he had taken about 40 minutes with me to get my bike supported on my current trailer I asked to see his trailer. I had to ask as he was not pushy at all and I was impressed with his knowledge and attitude. He was well educated in all aspects of his profession. Upon leaving his dealership that day, I then made a call to where I had gotten my current trailer and traded it back to them and procured the Stealth enclosed Aluminum trailer from Desoto Trailer Sales .
